The manager and staff at this KFC on Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem, NC were ridiculously unprofessional when I stopped in to get my sister some mashed potatoes and gravy while she was in the hospital. After placing her order, I went to use the restroom and was told the women's bathroom was out of order. I was then told the men's bathroom was the only alternative but it was "disgusting." When I inquired how employees were washing their hands, I was told that it wasn't something I needed to worry about because they had a good sanitation grade. Seriously?! If I had not already paid for and received the mashed potatoes, I would not have. I swiftly threw them in the outside trash and drove out of the way to get a new order for my sister. If they couldn't be bothered to assure me of their cleanliness, I definitely wasn't going to assume they were being hygienic, especially when they were so emphatic about how nasty the male bathroom was kept. Really disappointing experience at this KFC on Silas Creek Parkway. I called the store and the person who answered, who said his name was Jermaine and that he was the manager, was rude, used profanity, and hung up on me. After that, I started getting repeated calls from the store, including blocked calls, which made me uncomfortable. I ended up contacting corporate and even speaking with law enforcement because of how it escalated. Definitely not the kind of service anyone should expect. BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION. I had tried the Spicy Chicken Sandwich that KFC offers, but I wanted to try the classic version as well! And I did. This is an excellent chicken sandwich, best of the national chains, better than that offered by most local spots. It's the largest filet around with the exception of the buttermilk chicken breast at Bad Daddy's - this filet starts at 10.3 ounces!l The chicken is well breaded in wheat flour mixed with the famous 11 spices, and then nicely pressure fried (it is much like the broasted technique) placed in a buttery bun, and mayo and pickles are added. There is a very nice crunchiness to the chicken filet. The pickles are a bit weak, but everything else is excellent. Like most fast food places the mayo or sauce is not evenly spread, but rather plopped in one area - if you are lucky it is placed in the middle at least - that was the case here! Overall I rate this sandwich slightly better in flavor than Popeye's, but the difference is marginal. The value aspect is definitely with KFC. read more

We used the drive thru to order supper. Really in a mood for some good KFC chicken. On a good note the staff was efficient and polite and the biscuits were good. The rest was terrible. One order for the three piece combo was disappointing. The potato wedges on both orders weren't fit to eat. They were hard, dry, over cooked and must have been under heating lamps for hours. My chicken was hot but greasy and tasted terrible. The chicken strips were hard, dried out and probably under those heat lamps for hours with the potato wedges. Our dog wouldn't eat them. We trashed most of the food. Really disappointed and probably won't return. read more

I usually go to this place once a month but after my last experience, I won't be going anymore. After entering the place, I was not greeted and employee had a look on her face that she did not want to be there. I ignored it and greeted her first and she did not respond. I purchased the 8pc family meal. I paid over $35. When I asked for hot sauce, the employee (saykritt) gave me 3 packs of hot sauce. When I asked for more she said no. I asked why, she said that was the limit. 3 packs of hot sauce per family meal. I told her I spent well over $35 if she could please give me some more hot sauce she later replied by saying that I have hot sauce at home. After telling her I didn't she continued to be rude and disrespectful and told me to go buy some at the store. Worst customer service ever. Luckily the manager was there and she gave me more hot sauce without asking questions. read more

Ordered the "double-down". Cups of water and cups of ice are extra. Need codes to use the bathroom. The "double-down" is two huge pieces of chicken. Lots of protein! It tasted good at first, but became plain - needs a sauce/flavor. Cheese and bacon is very bland. Glad we tried it since it was a "limited time thing" but wouldn't get it again. Clean eating area. This new store is now open. We decided that it would be a good time to try it out as it would be nice and clean. Wrong. First off, they were pretty much out of chicken, telling everyone that came in that it would be a 20 minute wait. My turn came and I was told all they had was extra crispy. Okay I can deal with that, I requested all white meat, breast's and wings. Nope, no wings, 20 minutes. So I asked for all breasts and 2 legs. My order was given to me and I had to really hold on to everything because it was all ready to fall out of the bag. Got home, boy when they say extra crispy they really mean it.... could have broken a tooth! I had 4 legs and 4 breast in the barrel. Now as far as the customer service (and mind you I've been in the retail/customer service industry for more then 20 years!) to put it lightly, it sucked, they were rude and you could tell everyone there was in a pissy mood and they did not seem to know what they were doing. There were biscuits on the floor along with other food particles that were visible to the customers. I seriously doubt that we will give it another try. Where do I even start, this was just horrendous, not only did they give my wife dark meat, but they also gave her honey for her biscuit, which obviously made her start to cry, which she proceeded to do so for 30 min whilst my food got cold. She then proceeded to eat all of my food because of this service. My wife is pregnant btw. KFC is delicious. I'm sad that the only one near me is so awful. First I tried to order my daughter a bucket of chicken for her birthday.... And they were out of chicken... Seriously. I went back today and got the new Nashville hot ( which wasn't hot. I put hot sauce on it) and my daughter got tenders. The cashier didn't even give us time to order a side and acted annoyed when she tried to charge my daughter separated and I said we were together. After we got our food I had to go up for a fork and hot sauce. The same cashier was putting another woman's order together so I waited at the register until she was done. She saw me ( also I was there only person there) as she was getting stuff together and when she was done proceeded to ignore me and start stocking bags. Eventually the manager who saw her ignoring me asked what I needed. I got it and went back to eat. The new fries are awesome first of all. The Nashville hot sucks. And most of our food was room temp. I stopped in on the way to my office to grab a quick bite to eat. I ordered a chicken tenders combo to go. The tenders weren't ready and it took nearly 15 minutes to get my meal. As a result I was late to work. I wasn't informed that there would be a wait until after I ordered. If I had been I'd have chosen something else. And chicken tenders seem to be a pretty basic item to have prepared and ready to go. I'm all for food being cooked fresh but I don't always have that kind of time. I'm giving two stars because the meal WAS good--once I got it--and the employee was friendly and apologetic. Still I don't think I'll chance returning to this location. Whether is noon (lunch hour rush), evening (dinner rush) or even in between, they are always out of something. How do you run out of original chicken, chicken pot pie or mashed potatoes? Never any effort to say how long before fresh will be ready. The restaurant itself is dirty, sticky tables and floors. While I've encountered both good and bad service, its never consistent and one can never tell who the manager is. With so many other chicken choices in the area, KFC has moved to the bottom of my list, this one in particular. Its a shame too, with a commuter college so close, not many faculty or staff even go there. read more

This KFC is absolutely horrible! They do not wear masks properly. They do wear hairnets over beards. My family's order was completely messed up and when I called to try to sort it out, I was reassured that they would take care of it next time we were there. Just ask for the manager. Absolutely disgusting location. There are visible crumbs on every table, dirty floors, near-empty straw and lid dispensers and garbage cans filled to the brim (all of them). At least, that's how it looked when I went in there today. I can't imagine what the bathrooms must have been like, and it's a good thing I didn't have to go at any point during my visit. Look, I know this is fast food and I don't expect my food to be on a silver platter, or for there to be velvet-cushioned seats, candlelight or a fucking red carpet laid over a white marble floor, but for God's sake, take a little pride in your business, at least... Ridiculous. If you are a restaurant that specializes in chicken, you may want to have chicken ready. Almost every time I come here I have to pull around and wait for basic chicken orders at a fast food restaurant. Parking lot is dangerous cause you got 4 cars waiting on food and a line coming almost out the door. Went to this KFC location off Silas Creek on Saturday night May 12th around 845 pm. Pulled up to drive thru and was told through the box that the drive thru was not working. Go inside & the line was horrendous and none of the employees seemed to care! They also appeared to be extremely upset that they had customers!!! One young lady was at the register. Then here appears the manager on duty. She peeps around the corner and quickly disappears. When the manager on duty decided to reappear she comes out to the front turns her back to all of us, leans against the counter & folds her arms. No one seems to be interested in the growing line of customers just about to grow outside! The manager on duty maybe should have left and went home oh and took the crew along with her!! The woman acting as manager then proceeds to have the audacity to inform a paying customer with a large party came up to the counter for extra plates..... this woman looks at the man & tells him. "Ok, what do want now because you have been asking for a lot!" What do you want???!!!! Thank God that wasn't me because all the chicken, sides, drinks & etc would have been brought back to counter.....and those plates too! And I would have wanted MY MONEY BACK!! KFC Corporate office someone may need to book a flight to Winston Salem. And pay a visit to this store. The employees don't seem interested. The packing of the orders? Stay away!!!!!!! Worst service ever. We just left there and they were super rude and when we got home the whole order was wrong. And I do mean wrong wrong! Missing sides, wrong sides, no biscuits. When I realized it was wrong I called to speak to manager and was hung up on and they left phone off the hook for hour and half. I called back several times and was hung up on. This is first time we have ever ate at this KFC and will def be the last! 17.80 order and we got nothing out of it at all!!!!!! Awful!!!! We stood in line for 15-20 minutes waiting to have our order takin for a carry-out. This is my primary reason for two stars. When we arrived we were third in line. Not sure what the hold up was since there were at least 5 employees lolly-gagging around in the kitchen. While waiting for our order, I also witnessed a drive thru customer have to come inside to inquire about her order as well. I assume she grew tired of waiting in the parking lot for an order that appeared to not be coming. After an additional 15 minute wait we received our order; no apologies for the wait! It was our first time trying the new Georgia Golden chicken. The potato wedges were a bit dried out and tasteless in my opinion and my husband didn't receive a biscuit with his order even though it came with the combo. The new honey mustard BBQ chicken flavor was good, although I would have preferred to not see all the grease from the sauce but maybe that's the way it's supposed to look?? This location was similar to many KFCs I've visited within the last couple years...run down with employees less than eager to do a good job. I've come to expect a lengthy wait time every time I order from a KFC and typically my order is wrong after the lengthy wait, so with the exception of my husband's biscuit, at least they got that part mostly right although my husband did have to go back and make sure they did not put mayonnaise on my sandwich since our receipt did not reveal that it was ordered that way. So, maybe that was more of a save on my husband's part rather than theirs....either way, there will be no love loss not eating here again. I think I will be sticking to Bojangles or Zaxby's (my favorite) from now on. read more
