Friendly, yes, but quality of work is a no. Communication also a zero. My husbands been doing the remodel on our home and needed a hand to get things done quicker and made a deal that we'd pay per hour. The water filtration system install never got finished and what was completed all LEAKED and had to be REPLACED. So much money wasted! We also were promised he and his team to complete our master shower and instead of calling saying he cannot make it he ghosted us for two days. Beyond unprofessional; at least shoot over a text and everything would've been fine. While doing our master shower he laid concrete before doing the water barrier- perhaps he doesn't know what he's doing? Sloppy work that cost us so much extra money and time & things he had done had to be re-done. The one positive is he did some dry wall work that came out good and we didn't have to re-do. Perhaps only hire for dry wall? I do not recommend. Do NOT hire this guy. Literally contact me if you need work done on anything at your home because we have a guy that is great, will also drive to you, reasonable price, communicative and quality work, everything that the owner was not.

When looking at the finished prodcut, the paint that was used was completely different than what we requested. Steven used Eggshell instead of flat which made the rooms look patchy and the overall look looks very unprofessional. Also, when speaking to him about the paint type he used, he refused to fix it and he used racist remarks "Your kind want everything for free" knowing that we've fully paid for the services we agreed on. I get it. Things happen. Because of other cogs in this wheel, I wasn't able to get him to do the work right away. Now that I'm nearing the point where I can bring in a pro, I contacted him again. I needed cabinets painted and likely a back splash installed. He asked for pictures and a description of what needed to be done. I sent him the pictures and description through Yelp. I was rather surprised when he said that he didn't need an appointment to get me a quote but I thought I'd go with it because I just needed a VERY rough range to facilitate planning. A range of $5000 would've been acceptable. Instead I got told I have "major issues" and he felt "sorry for the poor sap that I hire". Screen shots of the conversation are attached so judge for yourself what kind of person this is. First he no-showed and then insulted me for asking questions. Granted, after reading through our conversation I did see that he asked me to call him and I didn't because I skimmed over that part. My apologies. If he had just asked me again to call him I would've done so.

Our design included a corner spa jet tub, a marble tile shower with rain head and jets and complete new flooring and double vanities.  Stein, the owner and GC, was excellent from the beginning. Tremendous with communication from day 1. We asked for specific tile and design and Stein was very accommodating. The workmen that came to do the tile work were fastidious and hard working. Everyone was on time every day and they became part of the family. We were able to look at the work each evening to make sure it met our specifications. There were a lot of people in and out of the house so that can be daunting, but plumber, electric and stucco were all coordinated by Stein masterfully. We got a text each morning with the plan for the day and time of arrival-this was very helpful since my husband and I both work from home and work around various meetings. Even when there was a slight issue with the vanities, Stein made sure it was corrected and retouched. In fact, every time we asked for an adjustment, Stein made it happen. We would highly recommend Nordic Improvements for your bath or kitchen projects. After a very detailed and labor intensive project, we are SO happy with our bathroom.

After the pipes exploded in my house this winter, we had to replace the entire ceiling in my den,…read moreand the insulation above it in the attic. After filing a claim with my insurance (USAA), they sent out Nordic Improvements to my house to do the job. They came out to do an estimate, and told me that they could start work the very next day. I was a bit panicked, because that would mean giving them my house key, letting them be in my house unsupervised, etc, but I didn't really have a choice in the matter if I wanted a non-collapsible ceiling. The next day they sent one guy to start working. In one day he had removed the bad drywall, replaced the insulation and put up new drywall and mudded it. The next day he came back and 4-5 hours later, had textured and painted the entire ceiling to match the original color. There is absolutely no discernible difference between where the old drywall ends and the replacement begins. It looks great! He even left 3/4 of a gallon of paint for me for future touch ups. They were very professional, very nice and very fast. Not that I had much of a choice in picking them, but I would recommend them to others.
