It takes a while before you get into the water. First, you have to learn how to maneuver the kite. And that thing is definitely no joke! Our teacher Sergei was very patient with us beginners and because he liked our group he tacked on extra time just for us! Sweet! The coupon I got said private lesson, but I preferred it this way in a group setting. There were 3 other groups besides me, but we all got enough time for our turn. Sergei had a lot of good advice and tips to help us control the kite and for our safety. Basically the lesson consists of three different steps. First, you stand still and learn how to control the kite. Then, he straps you to it and you let it rip! The final step of the lesson, you hold onto Sergei as he controls the kite and you fly through the water as the kite leads the way! Definitely a lesson in how powerful those kites are. That kiteboarding thing is no joke. If you are serious about learning you will have to go back for more lessons. But this session was definitely a great way to "test the waters" to determine if this is a new hobby you will really want to pursue. For the water adventurer in you, give this place a try! 5 training sessions (over 1 year) for our 13 year old with Serge/KGB. Tremendous each time. Very technical, focused on flying and safety. Our kid loves it and is being trained very, very well. Serge is very flexible on timing while we are in town on vacation and watches the wind (which gets a vote too) to try to schedule optimal time to train. read more

Quality learning experience. Very thorough safety approach. I took 3 days of lessons, covering power/depower, launching/landing, set up, self rescue, body dragging, board starts, riding upwind, even jumps. Kites, board, harness, helmet, etc. were all provided during each lesson. I flew multiple kite sizes and kiteboarded in medium to light winds. Just signed up my nephew for lessons as well. read more

Took only one lesson but was very impressed. Sergei knows his shit. Takes teaching seriously. I'm excited to take more and but some gear from him. The price is right as well. $199 for a 3 hour lesson is a steal. read more

I took two lessons -- and loved it!!!!!!!! The instructor is super patient and will make sure that you know all there is to know to be safe and to keep others around you safe. Safety with those kites is no joke -- they can pull with a lot of power and you gotta make sure you know the basics before you start getting into the water. Sergei -- the instructor, goes at your pace and will not rush. He knows A LOT about the sport and will explain everything there is to know about it. This place has competitive pricing and Sergei can also help you get the right gear if you're interested in picking up the sport. Bottom line - awesome place, will be recommending to friends! This review is solely of the eco-adventure services. I've used All Wet Sports twice for kayaking…read morerentals. The business takes walk ins and so I haven't prebooked rentals with them before. Now the pros: Within 10 minutes you're out on the water. The employees are laid back and make the process simple. You can't beat the price for an hour or two of adventure. The cons: The staff don't give much instruction. They tell you when to be back and that's about it. The gentleman recommended which direction to head in but didn't say how far you could travel in that direction or anything to be aware of. He also didn't say what I know, which is the one direction has quite a strong current and the other doesn't. I saw a couple who clearly had no experience paddle boarding struggle to get out onto the water. Though it's a public creek it would be nice if the company swept the route daily to pick up trash. I kayaked by several boards with nails sticking up and lots of plastic bottles.

We're not members so write all you want they said, so for others that think the BBB is so awesome I as a consumer and father of 4, Pop-pop of 6 beg to differ with you. Now, as for Ocean Extreme and its staff & owners I've personally known Cory and Emily for several years. In that time I've not seen a couple of nicer people that are in business. Emily goes out of her way in every class she teaches to help EVERYONE and keeps her fees so low I dont know how they can afford to drive there with their equipment. They always coordinate SUP Socials, SUP Moonlight Paddles, SUP Yoga, and SUP Surf Lessons( they sometimes ask folks for a few bucks if they have their own equipment other wise their fees are the cheapest around). They have a large Kite Selection, SUP collection and they now even carry the Bote Paddle-boards that all the guys want so they can fish off of them in comfort. Those boards are awesome.. They allow people to try boards which most places don't, they go out of their way all the time to help teach beginners and make sure during our socials everyone has their legal items as SUP's are considered Vessels.. Great people and great prices... Go see their inventory or let them take you on one of their SUP outings. You wont be disappointed .

They have this pool moderately warm 82 degrees or so so I'm able to swim my laps. There is sometimes swim team or lessons going on but they do not use all the lanes so I've been able to swim every time I've gone in my own lane.

The lady that checked me in wasn't so pleasant so that's part of my star bump. Didn't really get that welcome feeling with her when I mentioned I was a Nationwide Member. The locker rooms were easy to access and very cooled down. Men's locker rooms had a middle room for lounging. The towels here are super large (instead of the normal sweat towels). There's one enclosed room with weight machines, and then a larger open room with smith machines, dumbbells, bench, incline, pulley machines, treadmills/ellipticals and a cardio training zone. They also have an outdoor covered astroturf cardio zone. There is a large heated pool, basketball court and separate studio rooms for fitness classes. My only gripe is that front desk lady and the limited benches they have. Otherwise, this is a solid gym option!

Great waterfront access & there is a pool. A climbing tower! I didn't explore too much- there was a leader training I was popping in to show my support for a friend who was teaching the course. She was set up in campsite 8 and unfortunately the campsites need some serious maintenance- poison ivy is overgrown in most of the sites! Fire pits have not been raked and cleaned. In my old council, our Order of the Arrow helped the Camp Rangers every year to clean up and do service around the camps. I have no idea if that is done here, but it needs some tlc. I can't wait to see more of this camp!

It has a sparling blue pool that is next to the beautiful waterfront area and dock. I saw a a chery area and even a climbing wall. The place was well kept up and the restrooms were clean. Great place for fun activities. For the kids and family.
