This is a neat concept if you're not ready to fully jump out of an airplane to experience flying or floating in the wind. It's extremely expensive for a very short lived moment in the chamber... though it is exhilarating I probably wouldn't go out of my way to do it again. We surprised our kids by taking them to iFLY. They had never done this so they were shocked and excited. We didn't make reservations online. We walked in and fortunately, they had two spots at the timeframe we wanted. The kids gave us their things to hold. They got suited up and then, they were called to get instructions on what to do. When they came back out, we made sure their shoes were tied securely. We also made sure their goggles were on snugly. They took their two flights in the air tunnel. They had a lot of fun. The flight instructor's solo flight after everyone had finished their turns was amazing! This is definitely an experience you should try at least once! read more

CLOSEST EXPERIENCE TO FLYING! When skydiving from a plane, you can control your rate of fall, but you are constantly falling. With indoor skydiving, the fan air is constant and as you change speed of fall you are actually flying up and down in the airstream! The experience is magical! WHAT TO EXPECT: You start by watching a training video and then a flight brief from your instructor. They teach four basic hand signals they use to communicate with you to help you position your body in the air stream. Your group gets suited up and then each person gets a turn, one at a time for a 1 minute flight. Yes, it's not long. You can select how many minutes you wish to buy (typically 3-5). The instructor is in the air chamber with you, and helps to keep you from hitting floor or flying too high. You will only be 2-4 feet above ground, as they adjust fan speed to your weight so you don't fly high and hurt yourself. Don't expect to fly flips unless until you have trained for a long long time. INSTRUCTOR PERFORMANCE: After everyone has completed all their flights, the instructor heads in alone and shows off their skills. They fly upside down and perform amazing aerial gymnastics. It is really impressive! PHOTOGRAPHY TIP: They take pictures and videos inside the chamber. We got one free and had to pay for rest (if you want them). We were not impressed with their photos. My wife's photos and videos from outside the chamber were much better. Bring a person to serve as photographer if you want photos. read more

We had an absolutely horrifying experience with the manager at this establishment. My wife, who is disabled relies on a service dog, was subjected to aggressive harassment and completely unprofessional behavior. Despite immediately and thoroughly cleaning up a minor accident our service dog had, this manager went out of his way to berate her in a manner that was not only rude but borderline abusive. His actions were utterly disgraceful. He forced my wife to remove her service dog, a direct violation of her rights, and falsely accused her of not having proper documentation (which is not legally required under the ADA). Worse, he insisted on "looking up" her paperwork, something we've never experienced anywhere in our lives. This was nothing short of intimidation and discrimination against a person with disabilities. The ordeal left my wife shaken and deeply upset, and our entire family was appalled by this mistreatment. This manager clearly lacks any understanding of disability rights and basic human decency. We will never set foot in this place again and urge others to think twice about supporting an establishment that employs such abusive and unprofessional individuals toward disabled individuals. The rest of the staff were pleasant just the male manager and another Caucasian girl totally unacceptable behavior. IFly is such a fun experience especially if you have kids. If you're looking for a unique activity, I recommend you give it a go. I was able to schedule a flight as a walk in for two people easily. The wait wasn't long, and we were able to see some professional skydivers do some amazing tricks. We only had a small group to do a small class about the process. The instructor explained a few hand gestures for us to follow in the chamber that would maximize our flight. Fair warning, the chamber is pretty loud, and you'll probably not pay attention to the gestures when you feel the wind blowing on your body and face. I can't remember if we did two or three rounds in the chamber, but I felt it was just enough of a rush for me. read more

Great birthday gift from my adventure friends! And something I haven't tried yet!!! iFLY will have you soaring to new adventures! They gear you up in full flight suits, helmet, goggles and ear plugs to get you ready! My girlfriend couldn't get her ring off- one of the rules, no jewelry- and they fixed that problem with a glove to protect their tunnel! Our instructor was calm, cool and perfect for our group! First flight for us was low and to teach us how to hold our balance in the air~ each of us took to flight like naturals! Next up- was UP! once balanced again our instructor spun us up! I was a wee bit excited and hollered out a WOOOOHOOOO and that just made him take me up more! and FASTER! You get excited = more excitement! Myself and one of my friends have gone skydiving before- different experience but still exhilarating! And like most crazy fun things- something you want to do again! Awesome Experience!!! This place is the coolest! You get to skydive ( fly!) without all the learning, commitment, fear, panic and $$$ of doing the real thing -aka-actually jumping out of a plane. I had no idea what to expect going in and let me tell you it's intense! Wind blasting you at 100+ mph in the face is something I have never experienced before! It's kinda hold on for a ride, cause it's such a strange feeling flying around! At first the instructor held you and hovered around on the floor area to get you used to the feeling of being in the wind tunnel, then up we went! Flying around with an instructor holding onto you...So. Freaking. Cool!!! Some things to know: -Take off all your jewelry....no rings, bracelets, or necklaces ( leave at home if you can) -Tie your hair back really good..I have long hair and by the time I was done it was twisted into some good knots! -It's way harder then it looks! The instructors make it look so easy, but uh no! Lol -Relax and laugh at yourself, you do not look cute being blasted thru the air..but it's really fun to laugh at your friends doing it! ;) -Very kid friendly! I was shocked that they said kids can do it starting at 3!! My teens thought it was the coolest, funniest thing ever! My sister dared my father and mother to do this with my daughter for her birthday. However I ended up having to go in my mom's place as she has a prior shoulder injury; It is not for people with shoulder injuries to jump. My sister had booked and paid for the session online. She said the process was very simple. We were also able to complete our waivers online which worked out great for us as that is how we found out about the restrictions for jumpers. They have their own parking and since we paid and completed the waivers online check in went quickly. We just had to verify ourselves and weigh in. The staff was friendly and seemed happy to be at work. Once checked in we are moved to the room with the air tunnel. We were given jumpsuits, ear plugs, goggles and a helmet. We received instructions from our director, Ryan. They also have free lockers there to place your valuables. We did the package with two jumps per person. We had a great time, this was alot of fun. We are still laughing about how silly I looked on my second jump. My dad is afraid of heights however he went the highest out of us all and did the best. I definitely recommend going, they also do birthday parties and corporate events. You have the option to purchase videos or photos from your session. The prices are reasonable! My sister got me a gift card for this place so my daughter and I could try our hands at indoor sky diving. I have a bit of a phobia of heights so this is probably the closest I will come to the real thing. I have to say that it was a huge amount of fun, much more than I could have expected. I was trying to get pricing for a party I was throwing and thought a week was enough time to reach out and get pricing. This particular outing was sponsored by my loving mother, who surprised me with a early birthday gift. Accompanying me was my brother and cousin, unfortunately this location has a specific weight limit, so bear that in mind when making reservations. Things to know: - make a reservation for an early session (beat the rush) - fill out your waiver online (better to have it done, instead of doing it in-house) - leave all jewelry, loose change and knick knacks at home (you don't want that flying around, they won't allow it anyway) - bring family and friends (the more the merrier, seriously) - if you don't plan on purchasing videos or photos, have someone there that can be your personal photographer/videographer (the prices are reasonable though) - you won't feel nauseous (I was nervous about this but only the pure excitement jars your insides) - consider the high option (this allows you to fly higher) - you will be sore (my lower back was tight, it was if I'd been doing some back exercises) What I assumed would be multiple spheres, was actually a group of individuals, based on your time slot, waiting to take turns to go in one. The wait time is not that long, unless there's someone who was allotted additional time. Before going in, your instructor will call for your time slot and give you your flight gear. You'll be putting on a fly suit, goggles and a helmet. In the event the suit is too big for you, that's ok, the suit will yield more air. Yes, you'll want more air in your suit! There's a quick how to guide video you'll watch and from there, you're just patiently waiting to go for a dive. My instructor Victoria was very informative and down to earth. Whilst inside, you're giving four different hand gestures to ensure you'll be flying appropriately. In the video I posted of myself, you can see she's cradling me. I WAS NOT supposed to be flying backwards, I pulled an advance move. Ha! After the fact, she made reference to that being one, if not the funniest times she's had. We went to Ifly Jax today for a homeschool field trip and I was blown away by the professionalism, safety, staff, facility and overall experience. It takes some time to go from A to Z so plan accordingly. We arrived at 9:30am on a Thursday with 40-45 kids ages 5-10 and we went through history, training, safety and expectations. We left the facility at about 12:45pm. Deals - return flights in a group of 10 is $122 to be used by up to 5 people. You get 1 minute in the wind chamber. Doesn't sound like much but seemed to be enough for all. If you buy that same package without a return you will pay $299. Wind speeds are controlled to the weight and ability of the student. Don't be concerned about this as they are trained and in tune to your time in the wind tunnel. Enjoy as it's worth your time and $. Trainers, GM and team get 6 stars. Safety is #1 and you can tell it's important. read more

We had a 1:30 reservation and showed at 1:30. We were told to check in quickly. Once checked in at 1:39 we were informed that we were to late and they had to cancel. This was a family event with family members coming from all over town. We were spending a tremendous amount of money to be told they could not help us. No place on our reservation did it say to arrive early to check in. We were not told this prior to our arrival. The front desk employees were very apologetic. The manager was trying to help. My issue was with the fact the employees have had this happen before with no corrective action on the website. The owner would not come out and address us at all even though he was in the back. First things first. I made reservations to take my daughter to iFLY in Jacksonville. The reservation was made an hour or so before the scheduled time using my credit card to hold a spot. When I arrived I asked that my credit card charge be reversed so that I could use an iFLY "gift card" that I had previously purchased. The girl at the front desk said she couldn't help me but she would get the "manager." I explained to the "manager" that I wanted to reverse the credit card charge and use the iFLY gift card instead. The "manager" said that I had to cancel the credit charge 48 hours in advance in order to get a refund. I told the "manager" that was impossible because I had just made the reservation an hour before. At that point the "manager" and the girl at the front desk became extremely aggressive and rude, telling me if I didn't like it I could leave. I was also told if I did leave I would still be charged the full amount on my credit card. I was totally taken aback by the rude insulting behavior of those two people and that alone will keep me from ever going there again. As my daughter said to me later, those two people were mean. As to the experience don't waste your time or money. Basically, there is a large fan which blows you in to the air a few feet for a few seconds at a time. The cost was $149.69 and lasted a total of 4 minutes or $2,245.35 an hour. Comparing this outrageous cost of iFLY to other entertainment venues: 3 hour unlimited pass at Adventure Landing would be $29.99, 2 game bowling package at Beach Bowl is $38.00, a season pass to play putt putt is $59.99 a one way ticket to almost any destination in America would be approximately be same amount or you could buy over one hundred hamburgers at McDonalds just to give you an idea how overpriced this "entertainment" venue is. I would be surprised if iFLY is around in the future given the rudeness of the staff and exorbitant cost for a few seconds of being blown in to the air by a fan. I have never given a negative critique of a new business ever but had to warn other people about my experience. Never again for me and my family. read more

Absolutely amazing experience! My husband surprised me with our friends for my 30th birthday! Upon arrival, we were clearly given instructions and signed waivers. We were able to watch another group while waiting on our safety briefing and gearing up. Christian, our instructor, was great!
