Went to this Milton location a week after the businesses opened for indoor dining. Service was slow considering there were only 3 or 4 tables to be served and there were 3 servers out in the front. The food was less than perfect. The mutton and kofta were ok without being remarkable but the vegetable biriyani was extremely underwhelming. Tasted like a flat Pilaf rice rather than Biriyani. Somehow felt the Brampton location of Khana Khazana is much better than the Milton location. read more

During the pandemic was looking for a decent dine and gave this place a try with no reservation. On entry they do a screening collecting information for every person and temperature checking. The staff are friendly and we were served by Ashkay. We ordered a butter chicken and smoked eggplant with vegetables curry and a few rounds of na'an and one order of the garlic na'an. I would say the ratio of protein to sauce is good and I was surprised when looking at the smoked eggplant curry the vegetables still had colour because they steamed and roasted the vegetables separately before combining it. I really enjoyed my meal here and I look forward to another opportunity to try some new dishes. One note, the food is very salty. Like very salty, like I was pouring salt all over the food salty. I would be curious if they can reduce the salt content but I suspect much of the items are already pre made. read more

This place is a true Milton gem and also right of an exit at 401 so I highly recommend to stop here for awesome Indian food if you're on the way out of/back to Toronto. They have a QR scanner code for menu and the waiter will take your order after you know what to order. Had the Chicken Biryani, Garlic Naan, Paneer Khurchan, and Paneer Tikka Masala. I love all dishes and they were all tasty. It's not Indian dining when there's no naan haha. The naan was well baked and soft. I enjoy enjoy ordering their biryanis because it's served with bread on top. The paneer and tikka masala were well spiced and very tasty. This is one of my go to spots fo Indian food that's outside of Toronto and actually I am even interested to try his other restaurants in the GTA! read more

a month ago I've been wanting to try this place for months. I am not a big fan of Indian cuisine, mostly because of the amount of oil I usually find in the curries or the spice levels. I visited Khazana to try their meal package and overall, found it tasted great - minus, of course, the oil. I got both a veg and non veg (fish Tikka Masala) package. The staff were very polite, well-mannered and nice. The wait time for food was quite long. Longer than I expected. Food smelled great and tasted great. I loved the naan. The fish and paneer curries were both a little spicy, though I asked for non spicy. The vegetable biryani was delicious and the 24K daal was probably the highlight. Overall, it's a great deal but would recommend to call in advance before going if you're gonna get takeout, to avoid waiting long. I would say it's better to dine in as the ambiance is great and the restaurant is pretty nice. I didn't like the mango Lassi as it was a little too watery for me. read more

Great food. We ordered Railway Mutton curry and chicken birayani with some naan.. Both dishes were excellent brimmed with northern Indian spices and delicious. Simran was the hostess who served us. If there was half a star, I would most likely give it that!! I was very excited about visiting and eating at Sanjeev Kapoor's restaurant, when we arrived, was disheartened to hear they didn't serve rumali rotis on weekends! We ordered a starter and mains with rice, naan and paratha. We were expecting to receive the starters but got our main course first, chole, chicken and the breads!! No rice or starters! When the starters finally arrived weren't impressed at all!! And after what felt like forever the rice came! I was visibly shocked at the chole, the dish was swimming in oil!!! Frankly the taste was nothing to write home about! I expected an upscale experience but the food and experience was very disappointing!! We came here on a Saturday after an afternoon movie, around 5:30. There was no line up, in fact there wasn't any other customers in the restaurant, we might have visited just as they were opening for dinner. I do recommend coming here early or making reservations because as we were leaving around 7 it was getting quite busy. We ordered paneer, lentils and butter chicken. I highly recommend the paneer, it was bbq'd and had great flavour. The lentils were also great with the rice and naan. Of course the butter chicken had lots of flavour and loved how saucy it was. This place is definitely a higher end Indian restaurant serving up higher end versions of the classics, but I highly recommend a visit. read more

This restaurant came highly recommend by a coworker so we stopped in here yesterday for lunch before hitting the outlet mall. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and we were greeted by their welcoming staff as soon we walked in. As you can see from the pictures, the tables are dressed quite elegantly and the level of service we received was second to none. They answered all of our questions and offered suggestions. We mulled over the menu and it was difficult to narrow it down to just two dishes! I opted for the Josh. Lamb shank cooked in rogan josh gravy served with whole wheat parantha roti. My husband chose the chicken biriyani which was served covered with roti. The lamb was cooked perfectly and although fiddling with a shank can seem like more trouble than it's worth at times, this dish was very delicious and satisfying! The chicken biriyani was incredibly flavourful and the mint definitely made this dish! I would definitely order this one again. We were also presented with a bowl of dahl near the end of our meal which was quite nice although since we were nearly finished, we didn't have room for much more than a taste. It was nice that each table had a bottle of Evian and Perrier on it (with the exception of ours for some reason). My one suggestion would be, if choosing one of these bottles, perhaps request a chilled bottle to be used. Room temperature Perrier isn't nearly as nice. Just a thought. They have a note in their menu stating that if you check in with Facebook or Google you will receive 10% off your bill. I don't use the other two so I mentioned that I had checked in with Yelp. The gentleman we were speaking with said (or at least implied) that we would receive it as well. I must have misunderstood. No love for Yelp this time. I would absolutely revisit this restaurant the next time I'm in this area although maybe for dinner. It made for a pricey lunch. read more

The decor did not match the menu. The way that the restaurant ambiance presented itself was more like a "fancy" Italian restaurant. The menu was overpriced with curry dishes $17-19 each. To add on rice or naan, it is another $5 on top. We ordered the King Curry (butter chicken) which came with only four pieces of chicken. The garlic naan was well done however the portion was small compared to other competitive Indian restaurants. The curry was mediocre - there are better options nearby in Mississauga. We also ordered the fish fritters. They presented well but tasted very fishy/ not fresh. One other thing I noticed while drinking from my water glass, was there were lip marks on the other side which were not cleaned previously. As soon as I noticed, I stopped drinking water right away. Overall feelings : overpriced Indian food. This restaurant can improve by ensuring cleanliness on their glassware and pricing better to match the quality of food. read more

Great sophisticated Indian food. Was here to host a few friends from out of town. We were greeted right away and seated. The waiters were all amazing, and they took great care of us. We ordered the veg and non veg platters to start. All of the food on there was delicious. They had a good variety of panneer, kababs, chicken and lamb and served with a very delicious chutney. For our mains, we ordered butter chicken, the 24K dal, panneer tikka masala, veg biriyani and a variety of breads . All of the food was great, but the highlight was the 24K Dal. Oh so creamy and delicious it is a must try item! We got a few items for dessert and all of them were actually really really tasty. I can not stress how impressed I am by this place. The food is always fantastic, the suggestions on menu items are always on point, and the service is consistently second to none. Once again, the owner was on site, and once again, he remembered me from my last visit, including where we were sitting on our last visit. Oh, and our last visit? Fourteen of us came to celebrate my 40th birthday. I had chosen Khazana as it's been my favourite Indian cuisine restaurant since it opened. I'm so sad and disappointed to say they have gone drastically downhill and I won't be returning again. They forgot our reservation and weren't ready for us. They actually made another group move to accommodate us- which I wouldn't have allowed if I had seen it (it wasn't their fault!) Then, our server took drink orders but proceeded to not bring 1/3 of them. We each ordered individual appetizers and they all came out at different times so some people were eating while others were waiting. Then our mains came out- but we had to wait twenty minutes for the rice and naan (which, by the way, was SIX DOLLARS for a piece the size of my hand.) The food was a mixed review- the tandoori salmon was over cooked, the king curry chicken was over cooked and rubbery and the six dollar garlic naan was raw dough. A few of us brought our concerns to the attention of management several times and they did nothing to help. When confronted with their poor reaction, they were rude and dismissive. They then brought out a "chef" (in a puffy jacket and sweat pants) who argued with one of my guests! Not once did we receive an apology. A simple "sorry" would have gone a long way. They say when Indians go to an Indian restaurant it must be good. It was indeed the case. Awesome selection of dishes, different from what you normally see in a North Indian restaurant. We went with the $50 5-course dinner option, which includes a drink, a plate of 3 appetizers, choices of mains with naan, rice and yogurt and 3 tiny desserts! Way too much food but worth the experience. I'm not the one who likes to be rushed during dinner, but the service was SLOW. We had reservations for 9pm and only left around 11:30! Stopped by to grab dinner here on a Sunday night on our way home. Lovely place with impeccably attentive and informed service. While it is perhaps a bit on the pricey side, the food, importantly, was excellent! We ordered a range of things from their extensive menu, including lamb biryani, garlic and butter naan, and a chicken, lamb, and fish curry each. Everything was quite rich and flavourful and I can't wait to go back and try more off their menu! I had a mango lassi for dessert and one of my companions had the gulab jamun. These offerings were good enough for what they are but certainly did not blow me away. I was also a bit put off by the random garnishes -- please for the love of god stop ruining our glorious mango lassis with maraschino cherries. The gulab jamun confusingly also had lots of long rose petal strips swimming in it? Not sure what that was about. I've always had a positive experience when I've DINED IN at the restaurant. I consider it to be one of the better Indian restaurants primarily because they always get the authentic tastes just right and you can taste the full flavoured Indian spices. Their portions sizes are ok, but the flavour of their food is what I go for. Today, I ordered their Emerald Lunch for TAKE OUT. Wow, will never do that again... 1) My butter chicken had 2 cubes of chicken only. Flavour was not as expected, but edible. 2) I got 3 tablespoons worth of dal makhani. 3) Enough plain white rice to feed 2 people. 4) Appetizer (2 pieces of bhatti chicken) was great Point I'm making is that their portion allocation for TAKE OUT is totally messed up. Two of my good friends took a few of us out to lunch today and I must say I really loved this place. The ambiance, food, and service all top notch. We started off with the non veg appetizer the chicken. Tikka and so delicious and moist. Then I ordered a mocktail, mint ginger drink very refreshing. For the main dish I had the shahi kofta and my friend had the chicken do pyzah. I enjoyed the chicken dish more. The naan was hot and fresh and very soft. The best of all the dessert!!! I would rate this restaurant higher for f I could. The very best Indian food outside of India that I have had. The dal makhni was authentic and delicious, Paneer tikka, lamb roganjosh was perfectly cooked - juicy and well balanced. The desserts were all fresh and yummy- we ordered gulab jamuns and moong dal halwa. Both were great. Our server Romal was incredibly attentive and brought all our orders right. Awesome Indian food, now available in Milton! Celebrated Indian Chef, Sanjeev Kapoor's venture moves from Brampton to fast growing Milton community. They are still in their 'soft opening' phase it seems but that doesn't mean that quality of food or service is compromised. Menu is definitely different (and easy on the wallet, for now). We tried Bhatti Murgh (chicken kebab), Country Chicken curry (a bit similar to their delicious Puran Singh Da Chicken at Brampton), Dal Tadka, Missi Roti and rice. Everything was super tasty! They are still awaiting the liquor license so had to stick with Shikanji n Chutney Mojito which were perfect. Located right next to local Cineplex, plenty of parking and quick seating (again for now I'm sure). Milton is growing. Yay! read more

We ordered the tandoori non veg platter and the aloo pesto for appetizers. The tandoori platter was extremely yummy with a good mix of options. For main course we had the Amritsari chicken and lamb josh. Both the dishes were exceptional. The chicken kadai was so amazing with very unique flavours. My mom tries all of Sanjeev Kapoor's recipes, so for her 50th wedding anniversary to my dad she requested to go to this location in Milton. I made reservations and 6 of us went. The food was very good but the service was horrible. The owner said he would look after us but decided to forget he had a 6 person party and spent the night talking to friends. I don't usually write bad reviews, but I had to for this one. He forgot so many dishes we had ordered and it showed that he just didn't care. Just horrible. Came here from out of town, anticipating a high end Indian meal. Never even tasted the cuisine as the minute we walked in, it was horrible service. We were seated within 10 minutes. I had made reservations on open table. Our whole family of 8 sat for at least 20 minutes at our table before anyone even greeted us. My husband had to actually go to the hostess desk again - very upset. Then she sent someone over. So when someone finally did come, no apologies nothing. Finally got a chance to try out this place today. been an avid fan of Sanjeev Kapoors and have seen the show since a kid so couldn't wait to try out the food. I went with my parents more so especially for my mom for a mother's day dinner. I made my reservation through open table and despite not being too busy we still had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. However as soon as we were seated the waiter was quick to bring the menus to our table and was very helpful during the ordering process with helpful sughestions. We ordered the bhatti murgh as appetizers which were delicious! The meat was tender and juicy and presentation even better! For our main course however we had to wait for almost 40 mins after the apps were cleared from the table, again it was not a busy night neither only three other tables in our section occupied so I'm not sure why delay. Anyhow, food finally arrived which was : mangolean chicken and jeera rice with laccha paratha and naan bread The food was veryyyy dense! We later found out that the mangolean chicken is a mixture of butter chciekm gravy and other spices etc which may be the reason why we found it so dense and filling. we barely finished half the pot between the three of us. The paratha and rice we're also ok, nothing to rave about. Overall service at this location wasn't the best, there were unnecessary wait times, staff wasn't around though it was not a busy night(we asked for water and had to wait another 15 mins till it came) and tables were not cleared away. overall what should've been a fine dining experience did not feel so. Also, I was put off by the fact that the tables beside us weren't cleaned and that they had a mothers day special and promo that wasn't advertised on the website (but which we only found out about when our waiter told us as we paid for dinner.) read more
