I had to get a crown, and Dr. Song was amazing at keeping me relaxed throughout the entire procedure. His staff was also fantastic and very supportive during the process. I'll start by saying the hygienists there are fantastic! Which is why I'm giving any number of stars on the review. They've been great! Then I'll move on to my most recent experience in December 2023. In June, Dr. Tanner (the son) replaced an old filling. Honestly not 100% sure why, something about a crack, BUT I wasn't having any issues with any of my teeth. He insisted it needed to be replaced so I agreed. He said it may be uncomfortable because he had to drill deeper than my previous filling. That was the day I started having constant pain and discomfort in my tooth. Anyway, I chalked it up to healing taking longer. Fast forward to my 6 month appointment in December, I told him I've been experiencing pain and discomfort in my tooth since my last appointment, the sensitivity to cold had subsided, but I also stopped chewing and was avoiding using the right side of my mouth. He briefly looked at the tooth and said I had a large crack and needed a crown. They asked if I can go that afternoon. That way I can get the work completed on this years (2023) insurance. Thankfully I had a meeting at work I couldn't get out of. So they scheduled for the following week for the temporary crown. BUT the office would be closed for two weeks for the holidays and I wouldn't be able to get the permanent until after they returned. I didn't feel comfortable with that because what if something went wrong in that two week period. So I rescheduled for January. While waiting, I went to another dentist, just before Christmas, for a second opinion because I just didn't feel comfortable getting any work done on a tooth I didn't have problems with prior to getting the filling replaced. The first question asked by the dentist I saw for second opinion was "did your dentist adjust the filling". I told them he adjusted it at the appointment when he did the filling. They were surprised to hear that Dr. Tanner hadn't checked it at my December appointment because everything I described was common with fillings that weren't properly adjusted and are sitting too high. Shooting pain through the tooth any time I chew anything. Sensitivity to cold. The dentist did look at my tooth and said we all have cracks in our teeth and that they couldn't see any cracks that were concerning. So they checked my filling, and sure enough, right in the middle of my tooth the filling wasn't shaved down enough. The Dr. shaved it down and I haven't had pain in the tooth ever since. Needless to say I cancelled the crown appointment, through voicemail because their office was closed, and my future cleaning appointments and have decided to switch to a different practice. I'd suggest getting a second opinion if you are not comfortable with any recommended procedures. As I came to find mine wasn't a necessary one and I'm thankful I didn't go through with it. read more

I have visited Dr Song my entire life, but no more. He removed a molar from my mouth a year ago and I am still experiencing soreness and pain. At times the pain has kept me awake at night. After the surgery I tried again and again to seek help from him. The healing process was far slower than expected and I was experiencing constant pain, but he just waved away my problems and made me feel belittled like I was a bother to him. DO NOT GET YOUR TEETH REMOVED BY THIS MAN, ESPECIALLY A MOLAR!!!! read more

I've been going to Dr. Keith song for 25 years. He did a very good job. The Dennis is very good and his old receptionist name Cam was exceptional. She always contacted me and let me know that I have an appointment coming up but when she retired, they got a new receptionist name Lisa she's very rude. She's not polite. She refuses to admit the fact that she did not send a text for upcoming appointments. They charge me $50 twice for missed appointments and I will not pay them because they didn't give me a heads up warning in a text. I will not tolerate this rude behavior from her, and I found a new dentist in Banning, who is resolving my problem without the road receptionist so I would not recommend this office since because of the receptionist name, Lisa. read more

This office is super popular so it gets booked up quickly! Dr. Song is very accommodating and has appointments early in the morning (my last appointment was at 7:15am) but you need to know to go through the back because the front gates will still be locked! He has toys for the kids and they give you a small toothbrush kit when you leave. Competent, punctual, and friendly. I'm not sure what else I can ask of my dentist. The Dental Hygienists are friendly and don't seem to stab your gums every chance they get either. The billing department is fairly competent too, though I'd keep going even if they were inept. There's just too many incompetent or drill-happy dentists out there to risk it. Knock off a star for the location. I hate downtown locations and there's area is bike unfriendly. read more

Dr. Song is amazing! He is kind, knowledgable and will work with you on payments. I had a filling done at Loma Linda School of Dentistry a year ago. They didn't clean out the decay, the filling broke and fell out. Dr. Song was able to put a crown on my tooth. He was sensitive to my fears of the dentist and has helped me with a payment plan. He is so calm and loves to talk about his garden while he is working on you. I got in to see him the same day for my broken tooth, he put on a temporary filling, I went back in the same week. He discovered all the decay and we decided on a crown. I don't have insurance so they are helping me make payments that I can afford. read more

I tried this dentist then quit within 3 visits. I was seen an hour after my scheduled appointment time. When they said they would be on time the next visit, that was a false statement. As a paying client, I choose to go to a dentist that respects my time. I would not recommend this office if your time is valuable to you. read more

I've been with Dr. Song for close to 15 years, and it's always a joy to work with him. No, I don't "love" visits to the dentist, but his anesthesia is amazing (local has been my only experience) and his crown work (I've had five) all fit as though I had been born with them. His office staff are friendly and I always love the way my teeth feel after his hygienists have worked them over. I've had a couple of cracked tooth emergencies over the years and each time he's moved heaven and earth to see me immediately. If I could give no stars, I would. Dr. Song is easily the worst dentist my husband and I have ever seen. He mislead us about the amount of dental work that my husband needed done. It was only through a consult with another dentist that we realized that Dr. Song wasn't being upfront about the amount of work needing to be done and instead was choosing to "nickel and dime us" by filling one cavity at a time. Dr. Song also proceeded to stumble through a root canal that he was not trained or qualified to perform (which we didn't know at the time). After 4 separate TWO hour long appointments my husbands root canal was not completed, and the crown that they ordered shattered when they attempted to put it on. They asked to come back two weeks later for a FIFTH appointment to attempt to finish the root canal. At that point we had had enough. We went to another office in Redlands where we received fantastic care. The only positive part about the office is a few of the hygienists are SO sweet. However, Dr. Song's office staff is incredibly rude. His receptionist harassed me for rescheduling appointments while I was going through a change in job. Terrible office run by a terrible dentist. I would encourage you to take your family anywhere else in Redlands. read more

He's a good dentist but I I think he is taking on too many patients. Went in on for a general cleaning, that I scheduled months in advance, and was asked to reschedule a day before to an earlier time midday. I was fine with that. Arrived on time and checked in. I was told the hygienist was late 30 minutes and I had to wait. Skip to an hour, asked how much longer and they told me 10 more minutes. They told me that before so I asked to reschedule and asked for a certain day in the afternoon. They were booked solid for a couple of months. Rather than taking the time to find me an alternate time or at least taking my number down so someone can call me Monday to set up a time she told me I would have to call them to setup a time. Not going to happen. I want to reiterate that he is a good dentist and really this review is about his practice/business which needs work. I had to take time off from my job to make the appointment. Not only that but I also had to make arrangements with my job because they asked me to take an earlier time. For most people they need at least two weeks notice from their job to make these kinds of changes. I can understand rescheduling and the wait time but having both occur and not even trying to accommodate me for my time wasted is unacceptable. I started with him 1-2 years ago. He needs to increase his staff or certainly try to teach them better customer service. I have never liked dentists and I only needed an experience like this to stop going and only go during emergencies. One other thing I forgot to mention. A guy came in 10 minutes after I did and was seen first before me. WTH?!?!? I was still waiting an extra 30 minutes and they were already working on him. read more
