After a serious workout-related injury, I interviewed several podiatrists before finding Dr. Saunders and her team -- and I'm incredibly grateful I did. Over the years, they've helped me through multiple issues: * Diagnosed my footwear was actually worsening my pain and fitted me with custom orthotics and proper workout shoes * Helped resolve significant big toe joint pain through movement adjustments, strengthening exercises, and shoe modifications * Quickly diagnosed a torn tendon in my arch with onsite X-rays and guided me through a successful recovery plan Today I'm fully recovered, staying active, and moving with far less pain and much more confidence. What stands out most is the combination of expertise and compassion. The entire FDFAC staff is organized, proactive, kind, and genuinely invested in patient care. I always feel listened to, supported, and in excellent hands. I can't recommend Dr. Saunders and the FDFAC team highly enough. There's a reason they're considered among the best in the Bay Area.

If you suffer from real or disabling foot pain, Pacific Medical Prosthetics is the place that I really MUST recommend to you. The orthotics that they made for me maybe six or seven years ago were perfect!! I really had never felt such a relief from my crippling foot pain before!! I sometimes would go somewhere and just couldn't make it back to the car because I was so disabled from the sharp pains in my toe joints. After having a very long career as a registered nurse and being on my feet all the time there is a lot of damage to my feet. The staff at Pacific Medical Prosthetic were so professional and knowledgeable that they properly measured my gait and impressions for my feet and made an amazing shoe insert specifically for ME! I could finally WALK AGAIN!!!!! I have been successfully wearing these orthotics for years. I just went to my regular doctor to get a pair of orthotics, covered by my insurance which they were, but they're so painful to wear and I don't know why. So, I am back to Pacific Medical Orthotics to get them to CREATE a new pair for me. It's really a craft for them and they do an amazing job. I'm hoping that my second impression of them is as stellar as my first way back then. I'll certainly check back with Yelp and give them a second review when I find out. Sincerely, Tom Atkins, RN

Great experience: Ashley is fast, thorough, very competent & a lovely person. I am very happy with my new orthotics & am running pain free again. The location is clean, bright & has readily available appointments. Unfortunately they are no longer offering orthotic casting at this location! I am glad I got in before Ashley left the practice. She is headed down to a practice in Redwood City, Gary Berke Prosthetics (650-365-5861). She recommends Michael Plafker, CPO at SF Prosthetic Orthotic Service (415-861-4146) if you are in need of orthotics in SF.

[overdue review] I saw Dr Grogan for the first time last year following a surprise slip on a wet…read morerock that resulted in a bruised foot. I was concerned I had broken something, but fortunately not. During my visit, I was struck with Dr Grogan's pleasant personality, knowledge and integrity. What *really* impressed me was his comment re: my orthotics (old, but still in great shape). He was thoughtful and honest about the fact that: 1. they don't need replacing (which he would $ benefit from), 2. it's not ethical to create more unnecessary plastic waste. What a gem!

Copying my review from the other listing, as there appears to be two (Dr. Grogan sees patients at…read moretwo locations). Dr. Grogan is amazing! I found him on Google when I was looking for a plantar wart specialist. After reading his stellar Yelp reviews, I knew he was as the guy to visit, and I was not disappointed! I made back to back appointments for both me and my husband, since it's a bit of a drive from us, and Dr. Grogan actually saw us together. My husband had two plantar warts for years that he had seen many doctors for and had many painful procedures on. He finally resorted to duct taping them daily for the last couple years. I had something going on with my foot that I thought might be a plantar wart but wasn't sure. It was very painful! Dr. Grogan was the first doctor that was able to explain all about the plantar warts and treatments to my husband. After looking at it and shaving the callus down a bit, he said that a previous doctor had cut too deep, and that my husband no longer had a wart on either foot! He was duct taping for nothing! He also explained to my husband that he didn't have much padding on the ball of his foot and that may cause him pain over time. He talked about options for dealing with it. Extremely knowledgeable and didn't try to push any product/treatment at all. Just laid it all out. As for my foot, it turned out I had stepped on something and it was embedded. He removed it quickly and painlessly and I my foot immediately felt better. He also looked at my calluses from running (big toe/heel) and I was telling him a previous podiatrist had shaved it down and it really hurt. He said they should not have done that and told me all about what it was and why shaving it down is bad. Dr. Grogan is so thorough and passionate about his work; you can tell just by how he explains everything. If you have any foot issues, don't see any other doctors - go directly to Dr. Grogan!

I was scheduled for multiple appointments where little to no progress was made, yet each visit resulted in a substantial medical bill. After paying a deposit for custom orthotics, I waited months only to learn that they had never even begun the work or processed my scans. At each follow-up appointment, I was simply told to continue waiting, with no clear timeline or meaningful update. My final experience was particularly frustrating. After I finally received the orthotics, I had a midday follow-up appointment during the workweek. I spent over an hour in an Uber due to traffic and arrived late (World Cup traffic). Despite then waiting over an hour to see the doctor, I was told I would not be seen unless I paid the $120 visit fee upfront. I explained that I had accidentally left my wallet at home and asked if they could bill me, but they refused. While I have no complaints about Dr. Sellers personally, I found the practice's administrative policies to be inflexible, inefficient, and unnecessarily expensive. The front desk staff is not pleasant to deal with. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking at other podiatry practices in the San Francisco area unless you have a compelling reason to see this office.

For weeks, I have been waiting for my replacement liner to arrive. During that time, I have been forced to continue using my current liner, which is severely worn out. It is shredded, barely holding together, and has become incredibly painful to use. Walking has become increasingly difficult, and every day I continue using it puts me at risk for skin breakdown and further injury. My new liner has finally arrived, yet I am now being told that it cannot be released to me until next week because the doctor needs to see how it fits and possibly trim it. I understand the importance of proper prosthetic care, but I have trimmed my liners before, and delaying access to equipment that I need simply to walk is incredibly frustrating. What is most upsetting is the lack of urgency surrounding a device that is essential to my daily mobility. This is not an optional piece of equipment--it is something I rely on every single day to get to work, remain independent, and complete basic daily activities. Being told to wait another week after already waiting weeks for delivery is unacceptable. I came into the office today hoping someone would understand the urgency of my situation. Instead, I feel dismissed and unsupported. As a clinic that serves the amputee and disabled community, I expected greater empathy and a stronger commitment to helping patients maintain their mobility. Horrible service, horrible company , horrible staff.
