I…read morecould not believe how far back into the woods it was, especially being near the front of the park. The ride sign seems like it's a half mile from the station and the queue resembles a paved nature trail at times, only with guardrails. Our Fast Lane was useless on this one so it was good we got it out of the way first. I love the look of this one set against all the foliage. Orange seems appropriate for The Bat but black or dark purple supports instead of the very light gray, almost white ones would fit the theme better especially at night. The Bat was surprisingly intense and smooth. I've now ridden 3 of these old school suspended Arrow coasters and I think The Bat is my favorite. Vortex at Canada's Wonderland might be a little more intense but The Bat is decent in that department, too, with a better setting and smoother, too. Both of them blow Iron Dragon out of the water, which I guess would be the little man made lagoon it sits above. I guess The Bat is still a family coaster but it at least trends more to the thrill side of things. I'm very curious about night rides on The Bat. I guess I should have thought about that previously as bats are nocturnal and Kings Island is known for its night rides. And the first four letters in the name are "The B" just like a certain epic wooden roller coaster at the back of the park. We skipped Invertigo and Stunt Coaster. Adventure Express didn't quite live up to its name but The Bat did. All hail the King of the Also Ran Coasters at Kings Island. As much as I wanna ride Orion and Banshee at night along with the mandatory post dusk lap on The Beast I think The Bat is now second on my list of most desired night rides at Kings Island.

The pool was heated to a comfortably warm temperature. They have both men's, women's, and family locker rooms. The family locker room was great because they had individual rooms that you could go in and fully close the door. My toddler loved the little slide, the water feature, and the lazy river. This was a fantastic activity on a cold day!

First time rock climbing at a real place. Very professional. The moment we walked in we were…read moregreeted by the staff and taken on a detailed tour and initiation. We learned all the safety and got strapped up with equipment. Very beginner friendly. But it's scary. There's a variety of courses, a couple beginner ones. They are very tall. The straps feel safe as well, for a split second as you're climbing, the slack needs to catch up, so you feel like nothing is holding you up. Phew. Don't look down lol but the decent from any point is safe with the cables. Trusting them is half the battle but once you're at the top you don't have much choice, that didn't stop me from pulling on the harness after every step lol. Multiple courses, one room with the harness and one without for free climbing, even though the free climbing is only like 10 ft tall (also I think it's called bouldering) it was still fun to try to strategically climb them without cheating. The climb to the top was rewarding on the big harness climbs. Your forearms will be worn out tho! Shout out the staff for being friendly and supportive.

What I once thought was a super small park is now a large area for soccer fields, a playground for the kids, a pond for fishing, a few baseball fields, and some trails around the park. It's a great place to walk and take your family to play! One of my favorite memories at this park was painting the mural on the building located in the center of the park. I partnered with artworks along with the fellow members of my community and volunteer to paint the sides of this building. What a blast! In fact, I am hooked. Any artworks project that excepts volunteers, I'm in! It was certainly a memory for my bucket list. I've never been disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms there. Symmes Township workers do a fantastic job at keeping their parks clean. I can tell that family is a focus, and they are good at their job. I always feel valued when I am at a park in Symmes Township. Check out this park!! There is lots of space to play!

My experience of this park keeps on getting better and we ended up this time going on the busiest days like Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I went one day on a Thursday, but that is when we landed. We usually tend to get here an hour and 15 minutes early as they open the gates right at 9:00am. I recommend going to the not self serve parking as for some reason my phone did not scan to open the gate and it is easier for the person to scan the phone. If you are having trouble someone will come and scan for you. For Gold and Prestige members we got to into the park 30 minutes early and they opened up Diamondback, the updated Phantom Theatre and Great Pumpkin Coaster. If you have a regular ticket, you can explore the shops or wait at your favorite ride. I like the Peanuts characters are in one showplace too so you can go visit them. Here are the places I ate at as I have the meal pass: 1. Sports Bar - sit down place, food takes awhile to get, but you are relaxing at a table, while they come and give you your food. This place gets crowded 2. Mexican Place - not too bad, guacamole is extra however 3. Paris French - had the shrimp sandwich, but the chips were salty, bread has on the hard side 4. BBQ - I did not try it, but the meat looked really dry 5. Tom Chee - this place is good, but only if you like greasy sandwiches. Very filling for sure I recommend getting the blue ice cream and the red soda only available on selection locations. I tend to have at least one cup and ice cream per visit I did not buy too much merchandise this time around, but I like the Snoopy Store to visit. Shows For some reason, they do not do any Peanuts shows anymore. We watched Brad Ross, illusionist and he was fun to watch and a 50 minute show. We watched his show 4 times, but sometimes it was a way to escape the heat and take a nap and figure out how he did some of the tricks. Seating is comfortable. They do have live entertainment like dancers or singers in some areas. They do have the wine festival, but we did not buy a card since we have a meal plan. Rides (I rode the following) and here are my thoughts this time around as they might be different since the last review 1. Banshee - gotton rougher over the years and the vest restraints got tighter on me 2. Drop Zone - this ride worked on the last 2 days, show operations, but recommend to ride once 3. Congo Falls - sometimes this operates on certain days, but fun to get soaked 4. Bat - an okay ride, only ride it if the line is short 5. White Water Canyon - you will get soaked by the geyers, this ride opens from 12 to 9pm 6. Charlie Brown Rushing River - Fun log ride, line moves slow, I wish they would open both lanes. 7. Snoopy Soap Box Racers - fun kids ride 8. Woodstock Twirly Birds Ride - I always have fun being in the helicopter, ride is too short though 9. Mystic Timbers - fun wooden ride, lines are not long on this one 10. Diamondback - this line tends to get long for some reason and can be longer than Orion 11. the Beast - we like doing a day time ride which line is very short and night time ride line gets long. They do shut the ride down at 9:30pm for the fireworks show and reopen at 10:20pm. My wife and I sometimes do not get out of the park until 11:30pm. Night ride is definitely worth it. The ride has definitely gotton smoother 12. Orion - definitely one of my favorite rides - I wish they had more shade on the line queue, but lines do move quickly 13. Red Racer/Blue Racer - I prefer the red racer more smoother compared to the blue 14. Windseeker - slow operations on this one, but the line is not long, but a great view of the park 15. Adventure Express - pretty neat ride for visual, but rough riding it 16. Woodstock Air Flyers - this ride tends to get longer, but I find it a little on a shaky side 17. Antique Cars - we like going on this ride. Line might look long, but it ends up being around 20 minutes Rides I did not go on this trip but wanted to Flight of Fear - some reason this line got the longest and I do not know why, but definitely not worth waiting for 40 minutes. I think I rode this ride a bunch when it was raining and all of the other rides were closed. Overall a great time and have a fun time at this park.

But the en-crappification of the service was absolutely abysmal in that short of time. The service was horrendous, the lines were horrendous, and the way every system here is set up is designed for you to fail, while they squeeze every cent out of you while doing it. We started out bad, due to the fact it wasn't even half a day, it was 5 hours, which why?? It's August, and 85 degrees outside! What do you mean it's not summer? They charge full price for 5 hours. The total paid was $200 for 2 people. DO NOT GO ON WEEKDAYS PAST JULY, THEY ARE ALL LIKE THIS! The moment we got there, we were very early in the line as we got there hours early. How are we repaid for our wait? They claimed the tickets we ordered online were invalid. I refreshed the tickets, and the staff member at the gate refused to try to re-scan it, and told us to go to the tickets support kiosk. We had to surrender our spot in line, and then we had to wait in line in tickets support. And what did they tell us? That it was fine and it was just an error. We had to go to the BACK OF THE LINE for this. It took us nearly 30 minutes to get in.. And reminder, we had 5 hours. So after our very limited time was absolutely wasted over incompetence, we finally got in, and went to get something to eat. The portions are absolutely horrendous for the price you pay. You're better off getting McDonald's before you go. The "Meal plan" isn't even worth it due to how little you get and the time you have between your orders. Mind you, it's $40-ish to get. The whole thing about minors having to be accompanied by an adult at all time is a complete joke, the entire time we were getting steam-rolled by random children at all times. One even almost knocked me to the ground they hit me at such force. And their parents were nowhere in sight. I seen children get on rides for adults by themselves with no adult in sight, I even seen children casually walking around alone with no parent to be found. Clearly they do not enforce this, and that's dangerous. You think you got a solid spot in line? Nope, too bad! The amount of people cutting in line will have your blood boiling, and they aren't punished for it at all. Children and adults alike just help themselves to the front like it's nothing. Not only that but my mom got harassed by a random man in the line, so that's great too I guess, just what we always wanted! Was nothing done about him? Nope! Of course not silly! The routes you take to get to anything are the absolute worst ways of travel I've seen in my existence. It's like you have to walk all the way to Dagestan to get to a Viking ship. Not to mention that if you want a specific restaurant, get ready to do a 5 mile hike to it. Don't even try it in the dark, you're not going to have a fun time. In the 5 hours we had, we only got to ride 4 things. And this was us spending our entire time getting to rides, except for the beginning. We wanted to finish off our day by riding The Beast. The line was 80 minutes long. And that's not even counting the amount of people cutting the line in front of us. And, they cut off and shut it down right as soon as we were about to be let in. We waited forever in the crowd of screaming adults for nothing. At the end of the day, I was left defeated, drained, exhausted, stressed beyond belief, mentally overwhelmed, and upset. A theme park isn't a place you're supposed to feel like you got yelled at by your boss, you're supposed to make great memories, but this is an experience I will never reflect on positively and will remember for the rest of my life as the place that damaged my very soul.

Unlike other jump parks, there were areas or stations without employees, so no enforcement of order. Kids were climbing a wall, then dropping into a foam pit -- right on top of kids already down in the foam. There were toddlers and pre-teens alike running across trampolines where someone was already jumping. At just about any given moment, I could see a collision, fall or close calls somewhere. "This is law-less," one adult said. A boy ran across my trampoline, crashed into me and took me out. Then when I was down, his knee hit me directly in the head. I got off the trampoline and started to walk away, before I got dizzy and laid down flat on the floor. Not one employee came over. I now have 2 seriously welts on my head and am lucky that I don't think I had a concussion. We won't be back.
