Kid Kare is a well estsblished in home child care. I have know Par, the director/owner/childcare provider for 20 years. I had my son there 20 years ago and recently needed child care for my grandson and was so blessed that Par-Kid Kare came to my rescue. She provides all her experience from the 100's of children she has cared for. She provides a warm, homey feel to the children with structure and age appropriate activities. She cares deeply for the children and their families. She has a wealth of knowledge with her degrees and tremendous experience working with chidren to develop their strenghts. Truly recommend KidKare.

Miss Par is an excellent caregiver. She goes above and beyond what most parents would expect from a daycare provider. My 16-mo old daughter been coming here since she was 3 mos old and has developed into an independent, social, and brilliant little girl. Not only is my daughter happy to come here every day, but an added bonus is that Par texts us pictures throughout the day! Highly recommend.

I cannot speak highly enough about Kid Kare and Par!! My daughter has been going to Par three days per week since she was 4.5 months old. She's now 17 months and thriving in her care! From the moment I brought my daughter to meet Par, I knew that we had found he right place for our daughter. Par has a wonderful way with children, and so much experience. My daughter has loved Par since day one! She is so happy to go to see Par in the morning, and bubbling with laughter and all smiles when I pick her up in the afternoon. Par provides so much more than just childcare: nutritious, homemade meals, outdoor play, reading time, drum circle, games and music, arts and crafts time (the sweet and creative gifts that my daughter brings home for holidays are amazing!!), and structured learning (even for my little 17-month old!) My daughter's verbal ability is well-above average and I credit a lot of that with Par's influence! She speaks 50+ words, and understands so many more. Par provides the best care for my daughter that my husband and I could imagine. We are so grateful to have found such a loving and caring environment for her. Par sends multiple pictures of the kids' activities every day, and they always look like they are having such fun. We don't trust just anyone with our daughter, and in fact have only had grandparents and Par watch her ever! Par is like family, and we could not recommend Kid Kare more!

Par and I go back 17 years. I raised 2 girls as a single mother. My oldest was 2 yrs old and my youngest was 6 months old. I found a job and needed child care. I passed by Par place and knocked on the door and she opened her door. I asked can you take care of my kids I need to start my job ASAP. She said yes I said good I'll be back at 4:30pm. But when I saw my girls happy n didn't want to go home I knew that they are in safe hands and as years went by we are like best of friends and my girls adore her. She was their part time mom. Who taught them their first English words and how to share and clean up. And learn things like a pre school with story time and arts n crafts. But the most thing they love to most was the birthday parties Par gave the kids. After 17 yrs my girl go to par's house their pictures are still on her wall. I recommend all my family n friends to Par.

The incredible teachers embody the warmth, patience, knowledge, and creativity that I had searched for. In the last year, my daughter has grown in leaps and bounds. While my daughter enjoyed the other schools, she happily played by herself on the yard and in the class centers. At Magic Years, she has made so many friends and thrives with the collaboration that the teachers skillfully facilitate. Just this week, the class squeezed lemons, and the next day made a lemonade stand complete with signs and money that the children had made. They took pretend play to the next level and got to buy and sell lemonade to each other. I felt like it was a privilege my kids got to be at such a great school with teachers who genuinely give their all and love the kids. They are all wonderful, with some of them being so magical they feel like something out of a storybook. My older child had been in an accredited Montessori school prior to Discovery, and he ended up being very behind academically. Not only did his teachers from Team 3 (pre-k) and TK flag the issue early on, they also put in extra time to try and help get him caught up. This was their personal time they gave him when they could have gone home or probably enjoyed a slightly longer break. My kids learn SO much here and they have fun doing it. It's play based, but the kids learn and love to learn. The enrichments that they offer and are included in the program, mostly funded through the DSPA, are second to none. And the community at the school is fantastic. The more you take part in school functions and volunteer, the more you'll feel the community. Leaving the school is so hard, not just for us, but for lots of families, because it's just the best. Most families go on to "top tier" private schools, and some do public schools, but I would say the public school families are a much smaller portion of the school. We never felt like anybody judged our choices one way or another. Eyde runs the school, and keeps it running like a well-oiled machine. She always listens to parents when they come to her and treats everybody with warmth and kindness. She also is there to help guide you if you want to go the private school route, so you end up at the school that is right for you. She's incredibly knowledgeable in this department. And last but not least, the campus. It's huge! A friend of mine referred to it as feeling like something out of Willy Wonka. They have slides, monkey bars, play structures, swings, a meditation yurt (it sounded ridiculous to me when I first saw it, but my son did come home and meditate so judge for yourself), a petting zoo (If I remember correctly there are miniature ponies, a pig, birds, and tourtises) etc... There is so much room for them to run and play, and they never get bored of it. There was never a day that went by where I worried about my children's safety, whether or not they were learning, or if they were having fun. My kids were full-time students and stayed for extended care. They spent almost as much time with my kids as I do, and I'm glad my kids got to spend that time with them. We drove almost 30 minutes each way to take our kids to go to Discovery, and I would do it all over again. If you're lucky enough to snag a spot at the school, take it. It's worth every penny!

The school's approach is empathetic so that even the littlest children feel seen, heard, and understood. The teachers are gentle and caring. You feel totally confident leaving your child under their guidance, knowing they will be treated with respect and kindness. The teachers and director also become your genuine partners along the journey of raising your child. Through coffee hour chats, expert talks, knowledgeable resource recommendations, and one-on-one conversations they can help troubleshoot any parenting challenges you are working through. For myself and some alumni parent friends of mine, the school has been such a trusted guiding light that "Caterpillar" has become a verb. If you're not sure how to deal with a child situation, you ask yourself, "How can I Caterpillar this?" What would (lead teacher) Andrea say or do? All this is on top of the other good stuff of pre-school they provide: arts exploration, outdoor play, stories and gardening and science experiments and a lovely community of parents and friends. Highest recommendation!
