Finding exactly what you need in a place like this is hit or miss because it depends on what people bring in. In the other hand, customer service should not be hot or miss and it wasn't! It was great! This past visit I asked the woman at the counter about finding a certain type of shoe. Not only did she tell me where to go, she actually walked me to the back and showed me the rack where that type of shoe was being displayed! She was very kind. DONT DO BUSINESS HERE. Sellers, beware. You can have a lot of items, in good condition, clean, barely used. They will give you jack shit money wise. I had two full totes of good condition, clothing, blankets, and a few play toys, and they gave me nine dollars total. They offer you the option to wait in store for them to price your items and you are allowed to decline the sale if you'd like, but the typical wait time is estimated to be 45 minutes to an hour of just walking around the store waiting for them to look through your stuff. The other option is to leave your items and they will text you when they're finished, but you don't have the option to decline the sale after that, you can take what they won't buy home or they will "helpfully" donate them for you. In reality it actually took them 4 hours to send me a price, which I now can't decline, and my two full totes of items became $9 cash, BUT DONT WORRY you have the option to instead do store credit, a whopping 20% on top of the cash price and put your money back into the hands of the crooks who robbed you in the first place. They basically scare you out of waiting for them to price out, so that way you have no option but to leave and can't back out. Sell your items elsewhere or you're basically just giving them away, hell for the price they give you might as well actually just donate your used items. read more

Don't donate or do business here, backwards policies and abysmal return. Gave them two full bins of new in package toys, clothes ect. Only for a $9 return, they will tell you it takes a hour to price out which anyone with kids generally cant sit in one place for an hour and if you leave you automatically have to accept any offer made. In this economy with how much things cost you should be given more. Easily gave them $60 worth of items and was expecting in the ballpark of $20 but $9?! read more

Went there to visit for the first time looking for shoes. So grateful to find a place like this! They have a huge variety for my toddlers size. It's affordable and good quality, especially since babies feet grow quickly! We ended up buying 3 pairs (black, white, and dress shoes). Wasn't informed to take items out of plastic packaging only out of trash bags. We're forcing people to do drop offs because so behind only to basically rob you when explaining the policy that sales can't be declined when picked up. They gave me 12$ for new electronics as shown below plus clothes. A bust for what was hoping would turn out to be my new kids resale store. read more

I've been enjoying Kid to Kid Allen for years. I appreciate the ease of the location & how well laid out the store is. The merchandise is usually in great condition, with a lot of variety in every category. The prices have increased over the last year which, for me, doesn't make everything as great of a deal, but don't get me wrong there are still many fair-ly priced items! --Selling-- I've sold to Kid to Kid many times and each time the process is smooth & easy. I choose to stay & shop or browse while they review my items. My kids have even begun to collect costumes, toys & books they want to sell to Kid to Kid. I've been shopping here for several years now. Prices have certainly increased over the years, but compared to regular stores - still unbeatable. The quality of clothing is typically pretty decent. Shoes can be hit or miss. I also sell my kiddo's clothing here. Pretty simple guidelines. They will donate whatever the can't take/accept. As far as the staff/service, this can also be hit or miss. I live 45 minutes away but every time I shop here, it's worth the drive. Very well organized and great selection. The process to sell my own stuff at their buy counter is so easy and I love getting store credit to cover new purchases. People complain in reviews about their items not being purchased for high dollar and I think there's some wrong expectations with this process. I bring items in good condition that I plan on getting rid of either way, so getting money for it? Win win! Also the "kid cash" thing where they give you 5 bucks per 30 spend to use the following month is an excellent way to bring me back into town. I have 5 kids and find such cute items without breaking the bank. I don't always find everything on my list but I also usually bring home extras that weren't on our radar, too. I used to sell and buy here often, even when they were in McKinney. don't not sell your items here for drop off. Go to Once upon a child, great staff, great value and do not try to rip you off for your things just for dropping off. So you either have 2 issues, not enough staff or space to be able to effectively run this business if the buying process is not transparent, if advising the customer that they cannot decline the offer.
