Sad to see some of these reviews. Overall, I love the ladies here. I have only had one negative interaction and whoever that woman was I rarely see her. These women work hard and I have witnessed customers being belligerent to them while they remain professional and calm. Policies are policies. I do find that the prices have increased particularly on dresses from what I have noticed. However, overall I love this location. I love chatting with the ladies and find they have a great selection. I rarely leave without purchasing. I also sell there pretty regularly and have never found them to be unfair. If you're wanting more money for your items Clover is an option or selling on Poshmark. But there is convenience in not having to set an appointment or sell items one at a time on Poshmark. So no, you're not going to get top dollar for your items but you don't have to deal with the hassle of doing it other ways. You receive an in store discount if you wait for your buy which is what I do, and then I take store credit to put it back towards the next sizes I need. I also want to note that I find their selection FAR better in terms of brands than their counterpart. Their selection is closer to what you'd find at Clover which also carries mostly nice brands. read more

The location in Short Pump was amazing. They had so much to look at and a huge selection of boys clothes. Which is an automatic win for me as a boy mom who struggles to find boy clothes. Cute ones being a bonus. Staff there were really sweet and helpful. Chester location was ok, not that impressed. read more

BEWARE OF TAKING ANYTHING TO THIS PLACE!!!! This place is awful. If you bring in things to sell they tell you to "sign in" and you, unwittingly, are allowing them to keep all of your things for absolutely nothing! We're so busy (not) we'll call you with what we wanna buy and you can donate or come get the rest. You tell them you DO NOT want to donate and they offer you $21 for 31 items. Do the math. There were several koolabara boots, sketchers tennis shoes , dress shoes, dress boots..all hardly worn like new. A whole huge tote. The owner/manager would not give me MY stuff back. I do not believe anything is being donated. I believe I will see my stuff being sold in there. I have shopped at this store approximately 5x! depending on the workers at the time, horrible experience aside from the fact they are over priced, i made a purchase. when I realized my points were off because they rang me up under a different account, I went back in to see if it could be corrected. the worker was rude!! she said she wasn't doing anything to correct it. negative exchanges back and forth. she was unprofessional, rude, and left a lot to be desired. i will give my business to ONCE UPON A CHILD!! This store in Henrico has gone down in customer service since this summer. They have hired staff that has minimal customer service. They also get rid of your entire if if you are a day late. The ENTIRE $8 BIN GONE!! No calls no I am sorry. How about just getting rid of the contents and being respectful enough to keep sometimes bin that has been a long standing and loyal customer!! Very disappointed with this store in henrico I bought a tiny play rug brand new in the box for 30 dollars only to find out it was very tiny! So I tried to return it the next day and they wouldn't take it back! I have no idea why they gave no explanation and I saw no reason why they wouldn't take it back. It was still in the box I had the receipt I just will never go back there it was terrible customer service and that rug should not have been that pricey for the size it was. read more

I am so excited about this great new resale shop. The owner has 3 small kids and really "gets it." Even though he just opened up to buy he has already found ways to make the wait easier. I LOVE the Pacman game and the kid's books! Such a fun way to make waiting a bit easier. I wish the owner the best. I have severe asthma and CANNOT wear a mask, I start wheezing very soon after having it had. I have been in SEVERAL stores and places and have been asked to wear a mask. I nicely say I can't wear one I have bad asthma and they understand and move on. We were here for a good 10 minutes and then a worker named Cameron stated I needed a mascon to be in the store I informed her politely that I have bad asthma and I can't wear one and she said well that's our store policy so if you can't wear one then you can't be here so I put my stuff back on the rack and I looked at my husband and said do not buy a single thing from the store big corporate stores and other small stores can except I cannot wear a mask and it is fine and by law technically they can't make me as soon as I walked out the store with my three-year-old daughter in my arms this Cameron girl proceeds to run her mouth about me and say I won't deal with that damn crap. My husband proceeded to buy a few items from the store for my son and jumped all over her about it how it's rude and disrespectful and told our son that is prime example of how you don't treat a person I will be calling this afternoon to speak with the store manager Blakely to get this resolved but it is not professional and how rude she was I don't care if your work or not you don't treat a customer like that I've been in several stores I've been to other kid the kids once upon a Child, apple everywhere who is very strict about masks and I can prove that I have asthma I have an inhaler in my purse and everyone has understood except this young girl so I'm sorry but you guys probably lost my business read more

Worst place to sell clothes. The will literally scam you. They claim that a full bin of brand new name brand dresses, snow suits, boots, maternity cloths, and more is worth $11. When we say no we don't accept that offer, they claim to have lost all of the clothes we brought in. Absolutely ridiculous! They totally scammed us and stole from us. read more

The "policy" at this store is pure robbery. After our baby shower, and with Babies R Us closing, we had some duplicate items we would not need, and could no longer return. These were brand new and highly priced retail items. Over $200 worth of items. I left the items to be sorted and received a phone call that my "offer" was in. I would not be told the offer ahead of time. When I got there, they offered me $4 for everything. And the worst party is, I had apparently signed on the iPad at check in an agreement that said if I didn't take the offer they still got to keep my stuff. I will never return here. I have told all of my new mommy friends. How dare this business take advantage of anyone, let alone new mothers. Shame on them. What goes around comes around. read more

The staff is always pleasant and happy to help in any way they can from figuring out your points to pulling size specific back stock. I would give this place zero stars if I could! They are a total ripoff! I dropped off a bin of really great brand name clothes that were new or in like new condition it took them over 3 weeks to go through it when they did they had something like $3 for me and none of my actual clothes that I dropped off. I had to go through the store and find a few of my items that they had tagged for sale. It was brand names like Ralph Lauren, North Face, Nike, Hurley, Gap etc. they couldn't get it straight and gave me a $15 store credit for a bin of clothes and shoes that was easily had $800 worth of clothes and shoes in it! I have never been so insulted in my life when I got an email saying they are paying $3.75 for hundreds of dollars worth of named brand clothing.. most of which were new with tags! And they make you sign saying that you can't refuse their offer. Is that even legal? They never have called me like they said they would ..guess they know what people's reactions will be to their rip off. It won't be too long before people will figure it out and stop taking things to them... another business bound to go belly up and it will be well deserved. I went to the store with the intention of trying to sell some outgrown clothes we no longer needed. The red headed gentleman I spoke with at the store explained the policy to me and said if I left the store, the clothes automatically belonged to them, regardless of whether or not I wanted to accept their price. He told me I would have to stay in the store if I didnt want to relinquish my clothes. I told him I didnt have time to stay in the store while they sorted through them and that I didnt understand the policy nor did I like it, but I would leave the clothes regardless. He then told me that he wouldn't accept my clothes (as he closed the box of clothes and pushed them towards me) because I didnt like their policy, even though I said I wanted to leave my clothes. He was so unprofessional refusing any of my clothes even before looking at them. I felt really disrespected and treated poorly simply because I expressed my displeasure with their policy, but I accepted it. So unpleasant and he was so condescending. I will never step foot in this store again. read more

SELLER BEWARE! Today I was reminded of the importance of reading the fine print. I dropped off a bin of clothes(barely worn Matilda Jane, Gymboree, etc.) for potential resell OR so I thought. I was told by a clerk to check in on the iPad and they would notified me via the number I provided when they were done. After receiving my call, I went back to the store and was "offered" $6.10 for my buy OR add an additional 20% on top if I selected a store credit. I looked through the bin and noticed they took more than half of the items in my bin. I declined but was told by the clerk that I signed an agreement that essentially said I'd take whatever they offered for my items. I stated that I was unaware nor was that clarified when I dropped off. The clerk rolled her eyes and said well it was the contract on the iPad. I slightly remembered clicking "accept T&Cs" button. I stated while I understood that is the policy I would not be accepting that explanation. Additionally I wanted my items back. She said that they were already on the floor and they had no way to return them to me. Please keep in mind this new store that isn't even currently selling to customers only buying; therefore, they could have returned my items. I explained that other Kid to Kid locations don't have this policy nor do most other children resellers in the RVA area. The clerk just said again that this is their policy and there was NOTHING she could/would do. Next I spoke with another individual behind the counter who watched my entire interaction with the clerk. This was the owner which I uncovered when I direct my conversation to him. I asked if he was the manager at which point he explained he was the owner. He said that he was sorry for my misunderstanding but he usually takes a loss on clothes because eventually he sells them at a loss. I said not too much of a loss as he stealing them from me. I then reiterated that the Kid to Kid Midlothian location doesn't operate under that policy. The owner said not every franchise is the same and then slandered the owner of Midlothian by stating that store purposely loses items presented for resell; essentially saying the steal from people. This store's owner then said he hasn't lost anyone's item. Again this is new store so there hasn't been much opportunity for that to happen. I continued to object but after it was clear the owner didn't care about a repeat customer I took the items he hadn't stolen from me and left. read more
