This is the only Kid-to-Kid I've visited, so I can't compare it to others. It seems to have a really nice selection of clothing, though I wish their shoe selection was a bit better (not larger, just better). I do love the huge selection of cute hair accessories (ribbons, flowers, headbands, clips, bows), though I would have thought they'd be a bit better price even though they're new. The staff was nice but I took very high quality barely used name brand girls items size 14 that were higher quality and in better condition than anything I saw for sale on the shelves. I live in Holladay and usually frequent that Kid to Kid. However, I was in the neighborhood and decided to check out the Sandy store. The store is very clean and organized. The clothes are color coded, etc. The prices are a bit on the high end compared with the Holladay store. They have some decent brands but are lacking in some higher end ones that I've found consistently elsewhere. My main concern was the terrible customer service. As soon as we walked in, my son was drawn to a little tikes truck. Almost immediately, a large female employee with jet black hair (wasn't wearing a name tag) yelled at him and told him he couldn't touch it. It was just very strange. I noticed it and would have probably purchased it if she hadn't been so rude. Later, my children (who are, not exaggerating, perfect report card kids and very well mannered) were looking at the toy section. The same woman came over and in a "I'm trying to be nice", super high pitched voice, told them the toys were for sale and they couldn't touch them. Um, what? I've never been to a children's store where the kids aren't allowed to touch the toys. Could you imagine an employee in the toy section of Target telling the kids, "no touching!" Very strange. After I took them back to the corner with a movie, I turned and witnessed her saying rude things about my kids. I'm kicking myself for not just leaving without purchasing anything. I definitely won't be back though. I would tell other moms to steer clear of this location. I can't vouch for the others, but the franchise owners in Holladay are very personable and welcoming. the staff is always so friendly and super helpful whenever I go in, which is weekly! after having our third baby I realized that babies don't care if their toys are brand new or even their clothes. A great place to find inexsoensive kids clothes. It's made better by the fact that you can take in clothes and toys and they buy them. I've been able to find new with tag items and excellent used items. After I bring the clothes that are outgrown it usually equals about $1 a peice, so I am able to buy replacement items at about $2-$3/piece which is still cheaper than typical retailers. read more

Such a great place to get lightly-used baby and children clothing and other items. Today I went in because I needed a new stroller. I found a good-quality stroller that I am excited to use this coming summer. So much nicer than the one I had before. I have also been successful in finding quality clothing for back to school needs and several baby necessities. I'm also grateful for a place to send the stuff that we are finished using and know that our things will likely end up being used and loved again by someone else. I also love how I don't have to worry about my kids bothering other people when I shop there. It's a very kid-friendly environment and the employees are super nice and helpful. I love the associates that work here. Every single one of them has been pleasant to deal with. I particularly love the unique selection of items that has stayed consistent throughout the years. I was tickled pink to see the phrase "the door to more" on the email I received after I sold some items today... As I've gotten older, I've developed a passion for marketing & advertising and I do promotional modeling; having an emotional connection to that slogan hit the nail on the head deep down inside. The best part of my experience with Kid to Kid is the fact that my single-mother used to take me to this location frequently as a child, with my earliest memories beginning around 6 years of age. I like to look for deals on baby equipment that we won't be using for a long time at our local Kid to Kid. This store is a bit smaller and doesn't have a great inventory of strollers but their clothing selection is great. Lots of lightly used shoes and lightly used seasonal clothing. The Sandy Kid-to-Kid can sometimes have good bargains on toys, clothes, and general baby gear, but if you're looking to sell your used kids items, try somewhere else. Based on what they charge, they seem to rip off people selling to them. I know that they have to make a profit, but offer an abnormally low price for even brand new clothing (with tags) and high end items that I've offered to sell. Seems that these days, they don't have such a great selection like they used to....maybe other people are just as turned off as I am and have stopped selling to them too. read more

Brought in my gently used name brand clothes to sell. The young girl that helped me was very rude and snotty. She told me several times that my clothes were "really old" and they wouldn't buy any of them. I have a 2 year old and a 10 month old. The oldest item might be two years old - that's really old? I'm surprised because when I've looked at the clothes they sell, they are not the "latest styles" as she claimed. It is basically an overpriced D.I. On the other hand, the Holiday store is great. I've been very impressed at the number of high end brands at this store. I've bought Oshkosh, Janie and jack, Gymboree sweaters for the fall at $3-4 ea. Staff is always great and accommodating. I just had an extremely unpleasant experience today at Kid to kid Sandy store. Trying to return a defect item and was told I have passed the one week return deadline. I asked if I could sell the item to the store, and was asked to come back another time since I missed their buying window by a few minutes ( while we were talking!) I was so disappointed and left the store asking them to just keep the defect item. There was little consideration towards their customers, little appreciation for loyal customers and the staff was really condescending. read more

I refuse to pay too much for baby clothes. Kids grow too fast, plus after all the diaper blowouts and spit ups it's just not worth it. Because of that I love kid to kid. The store is organized, and the selection is pretty good. But there are some problems i have as well. I was disappointed to bring them in a big box of pristine clothes and receive only a few dollars, even though I opted for store credit. I also feel their prices could still be better, so I tend to hit them up mostly during store sales. I wish they had more maternity clothes, but that's probably because they don't get enough donations. read more

The wait is ridiculous for a weekday to sale clothes. The employee Liz was rude to my children. Blamed them for unwrapping a toy another child unwrapped. I can discipline my own children. Very poor customer service, my 2 year old got yelled at for touching the baby swings! I felt a lot of the prices are higher than I want to pay for second hand clothes. I was told I had 7 days to bring items back with tags still on but, when I actually brought something back they informed me I could only receive in store credit. So annoying! Standing in kid-to-kid right now. Have been in here for 50 minutes so far and they still aren't done processing my stuff. I'm the only one in here selling things and only a couple other customers browsing. Liz P. is processing my order and gossiping with Holly B. about another co-worker. I've sold here several times during busier times and have been in and out of here faster. Liz would just stand there talking with Holly and another coworker there about schedules and gossip and not even work while talking. Finally, to make it clear I was sick of waiting I stood right in front of her staring and trying to get her attention and she kept on talking. Terrible customer service!!! I have been to several Kid to Kid stores, they are all individually owed even though a franchise so rules on donations vary from store to store. I have two kids, and they grow fast so its great to be able to buy gently used items and sell ones they've grown out of. This store in particular is probably the cleanest and nicest, on the flip side they will only take brand name, pretty much perfect condition items and charge way more than the other stores do. Some of the things they sell you can buy brand new for the same price! My biggest con is their buying system. I came in along with three other ladies with bins full of items (carrying all that in is a challenge to begin with!) There is only one person going through items, one person at a time and you cannot leave the store while they go through it. Immediately without even looking they tossed several baby items in a basket and said 'we don't take these, never buy these, these don't sell...etc" however on their website says just the opposite or I would not have brought it! They only bought about half the items, even though I took the time before hand to sift through and make sure everything was in great condition and brand name. Another lady only got one shirt 'ok'd' to buy, the rest was given back, what a waste of time! When it was suggested that the website be updated to show what they will and will not take, I was met with attitude and resistance, and then told, 'well, I'd have to update it every hour then, I would suggest you call ahead of time and ask if we take your items' I will not go back to this store, I would recommend going to the one on Redwood Rd in So Jordan, they take much more and sell for reasonable prices. I have sold a lot of my clothing to this store and pride myself in knowing that they only take the very best things. I took my usual pristine, ironed, name brand clothing to the manager's daughter. I placed it on the counter, it was thrown back to me in anger spilling out onto the floor. She was upset that she didn't have enough room. I was in shock! I have had many friends stop selling their clothes and shopping there because of how they were treated. I have liked and supported their store. However, I will not support rudeness.
