I seldom write reviews as I seldom have a reason to rave about a Contractor. Albeit not in this case. I was not in the market for a new roof, until the last wind and rain storm we had this past April, took off about 50 or so shingles from my roof. I started doing some research, and had a few Contractors come out to do estimates. After the 3rd one, and getting quite discouraged at the astronomical quotes I was getting, I was rapidly approaching the plan to have a few Family members fly out from the East Coast to help me do my roof over. One morning, I was at home and heard some banging next door. I went out to see what was going on, and that's when I met Scott Nelson, of Kidd Roofing. I asked him if he would mind giving me a quote after he finished with My neighbors roof. I remembered seeing his vehicles down the street earlier that week, and I went to speak to that neighbor. After speaking to them at length about the job that Kidd Roofing did for them, I was excited to hear what I was going to get for a quote. Upon the contractors finishing my neighbors house, Scott came over and we had a nice discussion regarding my roof. He went up on the roof, and inspected it thoroughly. He came down with a host of information, 90% of which the other contractors spoke of, but Scott had a few things that I was unaware of, and we even discussed adding a complete gutter system. ( I had no gutters on my home) After we talked a bit,and Scott taking many notes, he said he would e-mail me a quote that evening. Later on, I get my e-mail from Scott, and I was blown away at the quote. I'll just say this. It was nearly 3,000.00 less than My best quote. and Including the gutter system, was still nearly 2500.00 less than the others, ( Keeping in mind I did not get a quote on gutters from the others.) So the actual difference was closer to 3500.00 lest than all the others. Needless to say, we met again to go over the Particulars, ( Shingle color, Gutter Color, ect. ) Scott placed the order for materials which arrived promptly the next day. Scott and his crew showed up the very next day at 7:15 AM. Through the course of the day, I saw a transformation of my old tattered roof, to a beautiful, Architectural shingled, and completely guttered roof. My House looked awesome, and they finished by literally walking my entire property, with magnets to pick up every last nail. My Wife was overwhelmed when she arrived home, and to this very day, we say to each other how beautiful our home looks now, coming down the street and seeing that awesome roof. Painless, professional, Prompt, and Honest, and true to his word is what i got from Scott and his crew from Kidd Roofing. Thank You does not do justice. I am extremely pleased, and grateful for not only a job well done, but the fact that they did a job for a very fair price, and made the entire process seamless. Terrible! If I could write a zero I would. Our roof is only 2 years old. One night we heard loud banging sounds all night which turned out to be a huge set of shingles slamming against our house. I called and it took a week for them to call me back. Guy came out and said he couldn't see anything wrong. Seriously? I have pictures. Fast forward 3 months and we had a day of mild winds. Seriously half the houses in our neighborhood had their roofs blowing off! Huge sections and multiple tiles! We all have videos and pictures. We called again, this time they were quicker to call back. They said it's $125 to fix. First I said, isn't the roof under warranty? They said only 1 year. A 1 year roof warranty? Man that's doesn't sound like they take much pride in their work. Tiles should be rated for at LEAST 65 mph winds which it wasn't even close! So I said, "are they going to inspect the rest of my roof cause I know this is gonna happen again?" she said, no. I'm just at a loss for words. read more

We live in The Hills of Bear Creek in a house that's only 2 years old. I had to create a Yelp just to make this review. Many of the houses in HBC were effected by wind damage to our roofing and house after house after house has missing shingles. Apparently shingles should be rated for very high winds. My husband called and another neighbor of ours and they never returned our calls. We finally got a hold of someone somehow who told us just recently that they would come fix our roof for 125 dollars! That is ridiculous! Its a brand new roof! The lady told us it is not under warranty for wind damage. I said is it under warranty for crappy worksmenship? Needless to say, they should be repairing THE ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD. I'm sure this will happen again soon. STAY AWAY! read more

Highly recommended Jeff at Kidd Roofing. I am a real estate who was in a huge bind with a home under contract that needed to have a new roof installed before closing. After dealing with a rough experience with Ace Roofing increasing their quote by 50% for the same job, my clients (very upset at the time) and I scrambled to problem solve and luckily found Jeff and Kidd Roofing. They got to the job fast, worked our extremely pressed timeline, and had great communication the entire time. To top it off the future buyer of the home had the new roof inspected and the inspector/other roofing company complimented the work. Kidd Roofing put the roof on my new built home so my first real interaction with them was this past week, 5 years later, when my bedroom ceiling started leaking during a rain storm. I called them first thing the next morning. They had someone out to look things over that same day. They found where some flashing had come loose due to natural settling/movement of the house and nailed it back down, caulked it and inspected the rest of the roof. Everyone I dealt with from Kidd was very polite and helpful. They took care of me quickly. The person that came onsite also took the time to explain what was happening and discuss some other concerns I had. It was a very pleasant experience. read more

Max Miller with Kidd Roofing did a great job of managing our roofing job. He quickly responded to our initial inquiries, and went out of his way to answer questions, get us shingle samples, and even sourced the exact color we wanted from out of state. During and after the job, Max was helpful in organizing and understanding our insurance claim. In addition to a new roof, our house needed gutters & downspouts removed and reinstalled, and new fascia and new siding -- Max managed the all of the subcontractors and scheduling. We have used Max & Kidd Roofing for one other small repair job on another house, and they will be our first call for any future roofing needs! read more

After a hail storm, we were glad Kidd Roofing was one of USAA's preferred vendors. Scott Nelson was prompt, courteous, and professional at every turn. With his experience and expertise, he was able to guide us to a new roof color, and it looks so much better--great, in fact! Later, strong winds blew a satellite dish loose, causing a leak in the house. Scott responded immediately to my after-hours text, and patched it for us the next morning. I noticed that the flashing on my roof was starting to rip and appeared to be lifting. I called a representative from Kidd Roofing and they came out immediately. He looked at the problem, fixed it on the spot and notice some other potential problems with the brick on my home. The representative fixed the roof, then explained how we could have some potential leaking around our front windows. We would have never known this had this roofer not been paying close attention. We're very happy with the new roof installed by Kidd Roofing. a few months ago, we'd watched them install a new metal roof for one of our neighbors. 2/29/16 Kidd Roofing and Steve Collier exceeded my expectations when my home in Keller, Texas needed a new roof. They finished the project on time and the roof looks amazing. I have worked with contractors most of my life, and to say most experiences are uneven would be an understatement. Working with Kidd however, on my hail damaged roof was the kind of experience most homeowners would like to have - but rarely seem to get. Estimates were fair, workers did a very professional job, and clean up was good. Ask for Jeff Marshall. He knows his stuff and went to great lengths to make sure everything went well. I had this company to caulk around pipes on my roof to stop a leak. They did not a fantastic job and caulked around all pipes and even painted the pipes to match my roof. They are great to work with, very fast, and tell you exactly what they have done. I would definitely recommend Kidd Roofing. read more
