I sent my daughter to school here, from grades k-5. It was a very good decision to do so. The…read moreschool was very small and family oriented, which was very good for her at the time. It had a great before/after school program that I needed. I never had to worry as I knew she was always in good hands. We needed to move on after fifth grade, but we missed the small school atmosphere. Also, just wanted to note that we were not Lutheran, but were welcomed there anyway.

They haven't read about the strides this…read moreschool district has made in academic growth, school policy, sports, and the over well being of students. Dr. Hynes, the Superintendent, Dr. Dally, Principal at River, Dr. Jones, assistant superintendent, etc...has raised the bar in what they expect from the students, and what they are doing for the students and teachers in the school district from double recess, to treating each student as an individual and not as a standardized test score, plus much more to list. When parents from the surrounding towns want their children in Pat- Med school district, and teachers want to work here, it means faith in the Superintendent, Administrators and Teachers...it means that they are all doing something right. Read the write ups in the NY times, DailyNews, USA Today, etc... it's all there. Kudos to Dr. Hynes for making a not so great school district great!

In addition to other Mass times, the entire school community celebrates First Friday Mass each month. To deepen the bond between family and parish, children receive the sacraments in their home parishes after adequate class preparation. Special family Masses are also celebrated by the school community during the year. A strong academic curriculum provides students with a thorough training in the basics of Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Health, and Spanish for students in grades 6 through 8, Physical Education, Art and Music. Recognizing the individual needs of each child, teachers on all levels encourage the child to develop his/her own potential. Research skills and experimentation are essential parts of the Science curriculum. All classrooms have interactive SMART boards. There is a new computer lab and WiFi throughout the school.
