When to Kidd's for some weekend fun. The staff was very nice the stations were hard but not impossible

Was it fun? Yeah, sure. But... They failed to mention before we went some things that should have been said. Like the course was set up for a tournament days prior and they haven't changed it so it was challenging.. I didn't want to play on a tournament level I wanted to have fun. They told us this after we were done. Now the hidden fees... I read EVERY paper given to me while signing them, none of them mentioned pricing or hidden fees. They tell you you have to use ear plugs, but they fail to mention they'll charge you $2 for them, they'll fail to mention you get charged for extra clay shots. I'm sure they charged me to use their shell bag and safety glasses too. All of which brought the total for me at $90. I guess they just expected us to know these things. read more

Don't let negative reviews fool you. I've been going to kidds for the past 4 years and I've never had any problems or a bad experience. I would consider it one of the most relaxed sporting clay facilities in and around the triangle. If you don't enjoy someone looking over your shoulder every minute you'll know what I mean. Pricing is competitive to surrounding facilities as well. Staff has always been friendly. Good balance of challenging stations and less challenging stations. read more

Went last weekend! Everyone is great. We went to kick off my bachelor party. The stations are amazing, the whole place is well setup. This is the first time I've shot sport clays and I'm hooked. Bring your appetite for barbecue and have a great time!! They will take care of everything and you are left just having a blast! read more

This is a great place for a party or a wedding, but if you like to shoot, going almost anywhere else is better. If you own super expensive shotguns and all the accessories and attitudes , then thi sis the place to be. If you're a regular gun guy, go elsewhere, as the attitude will overwhelm you read more

Only used the outdoor pistol range, which was nice. However $25 per person for an hour seemed pretty expensive to me. My friend and I had 150 rounds we wanted to shoot on one lane which only took us half an hour tops and we had to pay $25 each for an hour's time... also, come with your own ammo, they charge over $20 for 50 rounds of 9mm ammo! Other than the price, the people were friendly and the range wasn't the best I've ever seen but certainly wasn't the worst. read more

Shot at Kidd's while in town on business, and was treated like family. I shoot from the NE coast to Texas and visit many, many clubs. Kidd's was the best I'm been to in years. The prices are more that reasonable and the tgts were challenging and fun. Everyone at the club (members and staff) are the friendliest you will ever meet. There is absolutely NO better place to shoot clays in NC than Kidd's Place! These guys treat you right! I've been a gun owner and clays shooter for over 30 years and I can't find a better place to hang out and have some fun. Kidd's Place sporting Clays, on Route 42 Holly Springs, NC is the absolute BEST place for Clay's shooting. They are warm & Woman friendly which made my female friend feel very comfortable as a first time Clays shooter. Charlotte, was working the front office & explained everything we needed to know from start to finish. Tom Kidd met us at the first Clays station and answered all of our questions as well as giving us expert advice & training about the stations & which were the easiest to use. Tom says, "You should have fun shooting, otherwise you won't want to come back!" He was absolutely right on! Ricky, one of the Range Officers stopped by and asked if he could give us help & advice. We took him up on his expertise & Ricky ended up spending most of our time at Kidd's Place helping us and showing how we could improve our shooting styles without sounding condesending. We both had the time of our lives shooting & will be back as we felt we were truly welcomed by the owner, staff & Range Officers. They had shotgun shells at a very reasonable price if you needed more amunition than what you brought & the course was Beautiful & well kept. You can walk or rent a cart to go from station to station. I can't emphasize enough how great a time we had & how friendly, knowledeable & helpful everyone was at Kidd's Place sporting Clays & I plan on being a regular customer & club member.
