Our son absolutely loved attending this daycare. His teachers were consistently kind, patient, and truly engaging--he learned so much and always looked forward to going each day. He made so many great friends, and it was clear that the staff worked hard to create a warm, welcoming environment for every child. As working parents, we really appreciated how supportive and understanding the team was. Communication was always thoughtful, and they went out of their way to be accommodating. We always felt confident that our son was in good hands. We were genuinely sad to leave, and we would still be there if we hadn't moved out of state. We have been sending our son to Kiddy Korner full time for the last two months. He is currently in the infant room (7 months old) and has been thriving! The teachers are very attentive and caring. Our son is always happy during drop off and pickup; he is also himself everyday when he comes home (not overly tired/grumpy). They do a great job recording activities in the app to keep us parents updated throughout the day. Even outside of the infant room, during drop off/pickup all of the children seem to be very happy, which reflects very positively on their experiences at Kiddy Korner. Very helpful. We had my daughter here and then my niece and nephew, all three love it. The staff is respectful and will look up any RCW or WAC code to make sure they can properly care for your child. The Montessori setup is the best allows you to choose the best class for your children. Definitely worth a look. These ladies are the best. read more

Please look for another facility! Kiddie Korner does not have the skills to care for children!!! I had my 8 year old son and daughter go here for just a few weeks. My son is a small stature boy with a significant speech impediment that I was reassured would be given extra awareness so he didn't get bullied ... or if he did... that it would be immediately handled. We consistently spoke to the center about issues and always tried to be fair with each complaint our little guy had knowing that this may be a struggle most of his life since he is unique. We wanted to use the opportunity to help him become stronger ... we were hoping with the help of the center that we could help develop healthy coping skills and reassure him how amazing he is. As the days went on, as we drove to the center he would loose his shinny smile and become very quiet. Well, I should have listened to my son more and read the cues better. My daughter was seriously injured in their care this week. A child was pulling on her legs as she was trying to crawl out of the outdoor metal bar "spider web", consequently getting her nose hit on one of the bars. She has two black eyes, and a bruised, swollen, and painful bridge of her nose, that potentially is broken (no x-ray was done due to there is no treatment for a broken nose). Kiddie Korner made no attempt to contact me and it was my day off. There was no message left at my wife's work for her to call them right away (she works right across the street from them purposefully so if the kids need her, she can be right there. See our children have suffered trauma for most of their lives. They have been with us for just over a year... we are just about to finalize the adoption). My wife did have an unidentified missed call on her cell phone, with no message left and just happened to call the number back a half an hour later. It was Kiddie Korner who casually stated that my daughter had a hurt nose... that it bled a little but she was fine and sitting in a recliner at the moment. With my wifes work right across the street from them she went over to check on my daughter. (Because of the trauma the children suffered in their previous lives they have different "triggers" so my wife wanted to make sure she reassured our daughter). When she arrived around 1: 45 she found our daughter laying in a recliner that was evident she had been crying a lot because the fabric was visually very wet. Her nose was shiney, swollen, and she had black circles developing under her eyes. It was obvious this was not a minor injury. The TV was on and it appeared as though they were using the TV as the source of her comfort. Noone, not even when my wife arrived, reported that the injury may be a little more serious than first thought. Our daughter was so sad when my wife got there. My little girl told me later that evening that when she first got hurt her nose bled a lot and she didnt want to move off of the ground but was told to get up! That the kids said she cried like a baby... This is my daughters first significant injury since she has been with me. The center knew of my childrens past and the concerns we had if the kids were to get hurt... get teased... things that kids who have had the oppurtunity to be shown love all there lives still struggle with. They showed no compassion or concern for the feelings of my daughter or the potential injury she may have suffered. When my wife returned a few hours later... she was not greeted or even asked how our daughter was. Not one person at Kiddie Korner made any attempt attempt to ensure our daughter was safe. If they were not able to comfort our little girl then they should of at the very least... regardless of the significance of the injury, knowing my daughters past... made sure myself or my wife was there to hold and reassure our daughter!!! I have now filed a formal complaint with the State. 7/31/12 Kiddie Korner lacks compassion, professionalism, and do not have the childrens best interest at heart. read more

My son started here as an infant and has now been there for about a year. He is so confident and sociable, and I know it's in huge part because of the awesome teachers and friends he has had since early on. When I drop him off he has no anxiety, and when we pick him up no matter what time we drop in he's happy and playing. I never have to worry about him while at work, and that makes a huge difference in my day! read more

I have had my granddaughter with Kiddy Korner for more than 4 years now, and would like to attest to the highest quality care she has received in this time. I have full custody of my granddaughter and have daily contact with the staff at Kiddy Korner within every age group. My granddaughter will enter kindergarten this year well prepared, as a direct result of the montessori education she has received. She has daily "school" experiences in addition to lots of play/social time. Some of the play includes guided learning experience as well. She will be far ahead in her education as a result of what she has learned at Kiddy Korner. The children learn valuable social skills as well. There is a lot of mediation and guidance in problem-solving when issues arise between children. The children know their routines and are able to utilize this knowledge in learning self-control. This is another, and perhaps even more valuable, aspect of school preparation and the staff at Kiddy Korner handle this very well. Another aspect of this center that I find to be of incredible value is the stability of the staff. I have had my own children at other centers where there was a fairly high rate of turnover. In four years at this facility, I really can't remember a single staff departure. This is a cohesive and operationally sound team of child development professionals. You really can't make a better decision than to put the care of your little ones in the hands of this team. While another person has written of their negative experience, my extensive exposure to this center has been nothing but positive. read more
