My Mom got a peony type flower made out of old sewing patterns! Super cute! Our other fave ideas were old coffee carafes as planters and Ball jars painted metallic! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and asked about what bookstores I've traveled to so far. The store is very close the Bde Maka Ska lake, and would make a great stop if on a bike ride around the Minneapolis lakes. Today, I drove and didn't have a problem finding parking on the street. The bookstore specializes in Native American voices and handmade arts. The interior of the store is really interesting to look at; there's a handmade canoe hanging from the ceiling and lots of handmade crafts throughout the store. I think Louise Erdrich, who is an author I enjoy, owns the store.
