There's a lot of fun gift ideas, but I will say the main items are geared towards children or women. I did find a shampoo bar I've been wanting, but was also browsing their cook books and candles. I found a new shop to consider when buying gifts for my two sisters. ‍ The staff were welcoming and nice and they talked up some of their chocolates at the checkout area. My friend purchased me a small chocolate that we enjoyed in the theater - they were right! Very good.

I snagged a seasonal ornament at 50% off and browsed for about an hour (could've easily stayed longer, but the rest of the day was calling). Such a cute boutique with tons of goodies! I absolutely loved ALL the jewelry. It's about a 30-minute drive from where I live, but it's definitely worth the trip, and hey, maybe I'll catch a movie too. The real icing on the cake was Julie. She was so pleasant and engaging and truly made me feel welcome. Great customer service is rare these days, and she nailed it-thank you, Julie! If you're in the area or looking for a fun little field trip, this place is a must. Everything is beautifully arranged: jewelry, candles, stationary & clothing, purses, and toys for kiddos. I'd say prices are normal for a boutique and the quality of everything is great. Plus, lots of unique finds. Side note- I was so zoned here that I completely forget to take photos.

Midtown Global Market has been such a staple in my life. It does such a good job of having food options from so many cultures and parts of the world. The food is reasonably priced and the workers are all so kind and knowledgable. Beyond just food, there is a huge selection of art, groceries, clothing, and more. MGM has always felt like the ideal of what Minneapolis is and can be. I am sad to see a lot of booths closed right now. My heart aches for my neighbors and community. I hope (and know) that MGM can bounce back and continue to be a place of diverse community. Love MGM always.

Seems like they are trying to bring people back by hosting more events (they've always had events but really pushing for the community to out). They still have some decent food options. Sad about Slice closing before I had to a chance to check them out. Still a few shops and produce vendors. I was born and raised for a bit in South Mpls and I find this area to be a bit challenging sometimes especially with them narrowing Lake Street down to single lanes. Makes me avoid the area as a whole. Definitely not MGM fault but generally unfortunate. You do have to pay for parking, ramp or metered. Or you could be lucky and find a spot around the neighborhood and walk over.

I LOVE Moona Moono! What a cute and very cool coffee and gift shop to visit , study, or just to…read morerelax! It's bright, airy, with lots and lots of natural lighting. Such a peaceful vibe. The diverse coffee and tea menu offer both the classics to the fancy brews. The pastries to pair with the drinks, are so delectable since they the delightful pastries are from the renown Patisserie 46! Today, I got the Black Sesame Latte with Oat Foam, served hot since it was quite a chilly day and an Almond croissant, which was sooo good, the perfect balance of a flaky exterior with a rich, nutty interior. Heavenly! I also got the opportunity to meet Angie Lee, the founder of Moona Moono! I told her how much I LOVED her shop and how much Minneapolis needed a shop like this. Angie appreciated my feedback and she told me the backstory to the name of the store! The name "Moona Moono" is a rough translation of two Korean words meaning "culture octopus," representing the various "tentacles" or facets of the Asian American experience. How COOL is that? Thank you again, Angie, for bringing this lovely shop to Minneapolis, and I hope it stays a hit for the years to come! LOVE!

**Pros:** * The coffee itself is legitimate: strong, hot,…read moreand fresh. * Reliable Wi-Fi. * The price point for a standard drip coffee is excellent (under $4). **Cons:** * The interior design feels sterile, leaning into a "clinical" aesthetic that lacks warmth. **Review:** I stopped in for a simple "coffee of the day" during a time when the shop was only moderately busy. The staff was initially friendly, emphasizing that I should let them know if I needed anything and that refills were complimentary. However, when I went to pour my coffee, the carafe was empty. What followed was a frustrating 10-minute wait for a simple cup of drip coffee. Despite there being no line, the staff behind the counter were preoccupied with conversation rather than maintaining the station--the most basic expectation for a coffee shop. Furthermore, the process was handled inefficiently. Rather than prioritizing the waiting customer by pouring a cup from the new brew as soon as it was ready, I was left waiting for the entire vessel to finish filling. In a fast-paced environment, drip coffee should be an immediate transaction. Simple service recovery--such as offering an Americano while the pot brewed or acknowledging the wait--would have gone a long way, but unfortunately, there was a lack of situational awareness. The environment also felt dismissive. As I reached my 7th minute waiting for this cup, I remarked that the process was taking longer than a pour-over. A bystander felt compelled to interject, stating, "They're doing their best." I responded, "No, they're not," with the employees standing right there, still failing to perform the basic requirements of their job. If a shop runs out of its primary product and makes a customer wait nearly 10 minutes for a fresh brew, they are not doing their best. That is a failure of service, not a reflection of the customer's patience. tl;dr: Great coffee, but the service experience needs a serious recalibration.

He immediately knew what to show me...dinosaur poop, all shined up. Now, the young friend was delighted, of course, with the copralite, but even funnier was my accompanying story of the quest. Untold treasures, beautiful calm space, extremely knowledgeable owner = superb, one of a kind shop. Go!
