In 2/25/24 I purchased a new car and called to have it insured. The phone message stated that the office was closed due to an out-of-office corporate event; there was NO number to call in an emergency or if you had to reach someone in their absence. Although the dealer said I was covered due to the policy on my current vehicle, what if this was a first car and I had no other insurance? Then I would have been unable to do the transaction. What if there was a catastrophe eg a fire, I had NO way to get in touch with Hylant. Then following week, when finally the office was OPEN, we complained to the person handling our account who was unapologetic and despite requesting it, we never received a call from anyone higher up regarding this inexcusable way of handing their customers. Before anyone considers doing business with Hylant, I would think long and hard. Certainly you can do better than what we experienced. In today's world, all businesses need to be reachable.

Well Allstate opened a policy and then closed it without my knowledge. Apparently it cost $187 and I didn't find out about it until a collection agency started contacting me. So nobody ever let me know that I owed any money on something that I didn't authorize in the first place and then it was placed for collection where it would damage my credit.
