Nice enough Famous Footwear storefront in Tomball Marketplace…read more I guess I haven't been to a Famous Footwear in awhile, but the inventory is about 80% athletic shoes and 20% dress--not what I remember. I've shopped Famous Footwear since the early 1980s, but it's been a few years. I wanted a new pair of dress shoes for a wedding that evening, so Air Jordan's weren't on the menu. Their selection in dress was limited, especially in wide width and sizes above 10. With assistance, I found a pair that I liked that came oh so close, but they were too long. They were also reboxed in a generic Famous Footwear box, and showed signs of break-in (but not wear). They also weren't discounted for not being brand-spanking new. The very helpful sales assistant--who seemed to be running the store by herself--offered to check other stores or order the shoes, but my time was too limited for those heroics. They're A-OK--that is, if you have the time to wait for shoes in your size. I didn't, so I went away empty-handed, but not truly disappointed.

Very poor customer service…read more It is understandable if there is inclement weather or a sickness within the limited amount of staff however when the MANAGER shows up FOUR hours late and have customers + a FedEx delivery waiting on her that's just about ridiculous. Not only did she miss the shipment but whenever she finally arrived instead of informing customers that the location was closed she brought her son into The store, lock the doors and had us outside knocking for several minutes to get her response from the inside. If you have the spare time to choose another location do so because this treatment is disgusting and a waste of time.

They will do a free analysis of your feet, stride, etc. using a machine they have to make sure you buy the right type of shoe for YOU. Finally their prices are competitive and they have a rewards program to help lower your purchase price. A month ago, I visited this store to get a new pair of New Balance 860's and was waited on promptly and professionally. They had a good selection of colors and provided excellent customer service. I will continue to do business with Fleet Feet.

The sales rep measured my feet and after a few questions to determine what I needed the shoes for the rep came up with 2 choices for the brand I was looking for Hoka The Clifton 9 and the Bondi 8 The Clifton9 is soft and pillow like feel and the Bondi 8 was a little firmer. I choose the Clifton 9 after trying both on a few times and walking around the store. These will be my work shoes as I stand and walk a lot. The rep recommended these since that is why I was buying shoes. I recommend this place as the rep was helpful and not pushy or in a hurry and answered all my questions and was super helpful. Price was not too bad either as I look as it is an investment in my foot health and comfort.

I found the shoe that had been recommended to me by a colleague and tried them on. Adjusting the straps was a little fiddley, but eventually I got it right. There was only one cashier on duty so I had to wait to check out. The cashier was very friendly. I recommend this store due to the huge variety of brands and sizes available and that there's people to help you find what you are looking for. I don't buy shoes on line as i have to try them on before I buy them.

This last visit, I settled on a pair that was regular price. It was last minute. They were cute and worked 80% with my outfit though I wish I could have found some that really elevated my outfit. Side note: they hurt my feet after about 30 minutes. Cuteness comes at a price. Customer service wasn't that friendly but she wasn't rude.

I did not like the hard sell at all. Their TV ads make it sound like the insoles/inserts are custom…read moremade. There is an ad with a lady named Teresa who is dealing with plantar fasciitis. In the ad she specifically states, "They (the arch supports) were personally fitted just for me." Then the narrator goes on to say, "personalized arch support fitting". These words imply that the insoles/inserts were specifically made for me. They are not. They are premade hard plastic inserts and foam toppers that come in a variety of prices. The inserts/insoles actually made my feet hurt worse. When I went back to my foot surgeon and showed him what I purchased, he told me that they were the cause of the additional foot pain that I was experiencing. He told me to stop using the inserts and sent me to therapy. Therapy provided me with stretching exercises. I do them everyday. Foot feels tons better and I just wasted good money on hard plastic stuff. Maybe my dogs would like them as chew toys.

It should actually be named "Houston Premium Stores." There is virtually NO outlet prices on anything. Adidas store had a great selection, but proved my lack of outlet prices when I viewed a particular shoe that was labeled: Retail price: $100, our price: $100. Go figure! Selection at many of the other stores was minimal. They all appeared to have off-retail styles but with regular retail prices. Not so sure I'd made a special trip here for any of their usual stores. Only saving grace was that a Birkenstock store has opened here, which means that I won't need to drive downtown to Rice Village if I want a new pair of Birks!

All you hav it do is sign up and you receive a lovely reusable bag. Last year my bag was orange and this year it's irredecent with pink handles. They provide a DJ and DIY photo station. They also provide a balloon booth for kids. You also, get a list of participating stores that offer a discount for this weekend as well. Some stores offer great value and others just have a glass of champagne. Can't wait to next year!
