I placed an online order for in store pick up, I called to check the status and was notified it was ready they had just not been able to send the email. They sounded busy, I totally understand. Just didn't want to show up and have the order not be ready! Once I was there the store had a lot of variety, and I ended up purchasing another pair of shoes. Michael was super helpful while I was in there and I believe he too my phone call as well. They had my order readily available at check out and even when I was having issues pulling up a coupon the cashier (can't remember her name!) and Michael were super helpful and got my Coupon! I wish I could see what y'all see in DSW. Seems like a big store but the selection quantity doesn't match. They have a lot of shoes on clearance and extra points for that when you get extra % off. I feel like I just waste a bunch of time in this store to walk out typically with nothing. This last visit, I settled on a pair that was regular price. It was last minute. They were cute and worked 80% with my outfit though I wish I could have found some that really elevated my outfit. Side note: they hurt my feet after about 30 minutes. Cuteness comes at a price. Very bad costumer service. The night manager is rude and not professional. They keep us running away from this location.

Love the variety of selections and prices they have to offer, however the customer service is inconsistent. One day it can outstanding, and the next day can be terrible! I have been here multiple times every week for the past 2-3 weeks due to an upcoming wedding. I was shopping shoes for my husband, his 5 groomsmen, my mother in law, and my own dad. There has been multiple transactions and returns due to sizing issues, and each visit has been different. More recently a young lady was ringing up my mother and I. She seemed to not know what she was doing and it became irritating as she was trying to take care of us, as well and handle phone calls. Please, if you realize your hands are full, you should try to call for back up or only take care of one. It was the constant back and forth of checking us out, then answering a phone call. At one point she answered the phone "Oh hey girl, hold up aight? I'm with someone right now." Tf? You don't answer the phone like that, and don't be having your homegirl be calling the store while you working. So unprofessional! The way she talked to us was unprofessional as well. There are a huge variety from boots to sandals, athletic shoes, water shoes, casual shoes, dress shoes, high heels, and other activities you can think of also! 2. Price - they have discounted prices from department stores. Why pay over $100 if you get some for less here? If you think your prices are already good, sign up for their emails for coupons. 3. Accessories - the main thing they sell are shoes, but they also sell socks, belts, shoelaces, shoe cleaning products, and even messenger bags. 4. Service - people here are friendly. You can stop anyone for questions, and they'll be happy to help out. I've never seen an unfriendly worker here. 5. Age of shoes - of course whenever people think about discounted stores and products, they typically think it may be outdated, but dress shoes are timeless. I'm not surprised they have a two star rating. I'm only giving them three and I don't think any yelp reviews will make DSW lose business. They're always busy! But be warned...I had to call five times to get my answer! Twice I was put on hold for a half hour both calls combined. (Thank God I was dyeing my hair) Finally, I told them I can't stop bugging them until I get my answer because I'm driving from Humble and they finally told me they had my shoe in stock. They did have it on reserve for me when I showed up. The girl at the register, bless her heart, ran out of change and actually gave me $5 in quarters. Whatever happened to asking the cashier next to you for change? Like I said, they're not going to lose any business but they are either overstaffed or just don't care. Shoes. Yes, it's all about the shoes. Who can't have enough? Looking in my closet, I've realized that probably 90 percent of the shoes I own were bought at DSW. So why haven't I reviewed them before? Because this store used to be located much closer to me and [blush] I guess I haven't bought any new shoes in a while. When the cold weather rolls in and I realize that my standard sandals/flip flops will just not work any more, slipping my sock-clad feet into shoes I bought too long ago just won't do. So we head on over to DSW, since this is the place that has always rocked my shoe world before. Love LOVE Rocket Dog and Roxy shoes. DSW has always carried them, so I'm thinking that I'll walk in here and walk out with 2 or 3 new pairs of shoes - easy. Not so easy this time around. Perhaps that was back in the day, when DSW was closer to me and when they weren't catering to, well, the more trendy shoe styles. My husband was with me, so he goes perusing around the athletic shoe area. I finally locate ONE pair of shoes that fit my bill; he gives me this disgruntled report about how sorry their athletic shoe area has become. Progress to the checkout line. Wait. Wait. And wait some more. This was shortly after the store opened, and with 3 associates working the registers, it was slower than molasses in January. Disappointed at DSW's selection, as I stated, and also at their incredibly slow line when you want to pay. Two stars would be given, but an extra star earned for their rewards program: worth it if you go often enough (make sure to share in your family to get the max benefit), coupons are sent and they are indeed a significant savings (which I used today). read more

I buy 60% of my shoes in DSW, but yesterday had my worst experience at this location, when checking out the cashier lady was very rude, I know the store was busy but it doesn't mean you have to be this way, if you are not happy where you work then that's not the place you should be, she didn't even made eye contact and even my daughters who were with me notice her attitude. Store has progressively gotten better and better each year. Lately, the staff and management have been on point and the store has been kept up nicely. The manager Michael is always super helpful and professional and takes care of my wife, our daughter, or myself whenever we come in occasionally. I have shopped at this location for about 10 years or so and it has been exceptionally wonderful with Micheal and Ray working there. When I walk in , no matter how busy the store is , I'm always greeted warmly and they stop doing whatever task they are doing to help me. I have 3 daughters , so I typically have alot of needs and they are never too busy to help, which can be rare in a lot of retail store now a days . I would rate zero of star for this store because of bad service!! This is the first time I buy the shoes from this store. They sold a bad product, the shoe made me fell on the street twice. My rib was broken, I did x-ray cost me $300. I came to the store and tell them I want to return the shoes, but they said they can not do the return because I wore it already. I have the doctor's paper, x ray's document. I know I can sue the store, but I don't want to waste my time about it. The shoes just $39. But they came out with bad customer service.
