My mama heart knew that time was not going to be the fix so I started calling therapy providers for help. Every place I called was enthusiastic until they found out I didn't have the 'right' insurance. The only place that did not close the door in my face was CTC. They evaluated my son for Speech and Occupational concerns and suggested a treatment plan that would fit my budget for a couple months until November, when I could apply for better Health Insurance coverage. Months later they suggested my son get evaluated by a neuropsychologist and referred me to a top rated Doctor that was In Network with my insurance and did not have a lengthy waitlist. I believe I waited 3 weeks for our appointment. The results of that evaluation were devastating, and I was quickly overwhelmed, feeling lost and heartbroken. But I was not alone. The therapists, technicians, administrative staff and even the owner of the clinic supported and guided my son and I into our new reality with the utmost compassion and care. They did not simply provide the therapy my son needed. I was provided parent training through observation, participation and private meetings with my son's therapy team. They taught me to understand my son and how to parent a child with different abilities. I was introduced to the parent support group where for the first time I was among parents that were in the same boat and faced the same challenges at home and out in the world. These other parents are now my best friends...and their children are my sons' friends. We look forward to playdates, park meet-ups and birthday parties where before I was afraid of or shy'd away from these activities. I am proud of how much progress my son has made with thanks to his dedicated therapy providers at Childrens therapy connections and I am grateful for the support and community they have given us. If you have a child that you suspect is delayed have them evaluated at CTC. There is a shortage of Therapy for children across the board so if you are going to be waitlisted anywhere you call, this is the waitlist you want to be on.

The facility's Administration has an open door policy and has been willing to listen to issues or concerns I had or my family members had, and then quickly addressed them. Staff members, from Nurses, to CNAs, to Housekeepers and Maintenance have been highly responsive and attentive, and the facility is kept very clean. The facility also has an excellent Physical and Occupational Therapy staff who really go out of their way to work with the residents who receive therapy. I have been to prior physical therapy business where there was only 1 therapist who dealt with you solely and I have also been to other therapy businesses where there are several therapists to choose from to get your therapy. I feel it's only fair to break down this review/rating into categories: Location: 2 stars - convenient Beverly location with ample parking in their private lot. I didn't feel comfortable parking in the lot - although there are tall light posts back there, they don't come on and it's completely dark in the lot. I would try my best to park on the side of the business but it's limited parking over there and they had started construction in that area as well where temporarily you couldn't park in those spaces. Treatment: 4 stars - physical therapists really work hard to help your condition. They thoroughly massage the injured area, give you exercises at the facility and at home. I feel the treatment did help my foot quite a bit. I didn't like the fact that even though I could of had an appointment with my scheduled therapist, if they were still working on someone, another therapist would guide you as to what your therapist notes are to do until your therapist is available. Staff: 2 stars - front desk staff was nice and friendly. The physical therapists were friendly as well which I could appreciate. What I didn't like is the unprofessionalism that not all but a few of the therapists had. While I would be getting my massages, certain therapists would be talking negatively about other clients out in the open by either saying their name outright or using first initial, last initial in front of everyone. I was also directly given information from two therapists about patients there (who they liked, who they didn't) and as a client, I shouldn't be told about any of that, it made me uncomfortable. I'm not going to be trusting that when I'm not around that I won't get talked about too and it's a valid concern. Staff needs to have a level or professionalism and be very careful also what's talked about due to HIPAA laws. Privacy: 1 star - The facility is built very well - each station had a table with a surrounding curtain to use for privacy but they were not being used most of the time (I only saw it used once while there). I saw body parts that I shouldn't of seen (e.g. a man's fully bare hairy chest (and he was a big man). These curtains should be used to give the privacy necessary for who is being treated and other clients around. That's what they are there for. Equipment: 5 stars - There is all kinds of equipment there to help you with whatever ailment on your body you have from exercise machines to balls to ultrasound machines for massage/pain therapy. I'm glad this business was able to help me but I do hope the things mentioned can be worked on because they are serious issues that can make or break someone continuing to use this facility.

It started with my mother needing a walker on short notice. Her LaGrange Park doctor recommended two brands to us mid-March, and I worried we'd be challenged to find someone who was open and stocked them. Even amid lockdown, Shelly was more than willing to meet us, fit my mother, and get her on her way rather quickly and efficiently. I was so pleased to find someone in the area. As the weeks went on, my mother's health declined, and I called upon Shelly many times for various medical supplies, and she always came through, even delivering them to my door; that's no small thing when one is sole caretaker for someone with great need. I wound up managing home hospice for my mother, and was so grateful to have NTS in my corner across multiple needs. Shelly either produced a solution herself or recommended a resource for anything I needed, and I will ever be grateful for her service and dedication!
