Bad service. Here are my reasons why, To start, when I went for a checkup, Dr. Lin was the dentist who attended me. Honestly, he was very kind to me and my mom but when it was time to check my teeth he was super harsh on me. My teeth hurt really bad after that because he did it to harsh. Secondly, I went to get some cavities removed and Dr Lin again was the one who attended me, I also left school early so I could go to my appointment. My mom had to go back to work at 10:51 it was 10:30, and he only put the anesthesia in so it could settle down. Honestly, he did a good job and it didn't hurt because of the anesthesia. Before that, while we were checking my X rays, he only focused on what they already did to me (because I went to the dentist in Mexico). He only focused on what they did to me and my mom was already getting frustrated because they didn't say anything of what I needed. Third of all, after that appointment I went back to school and everything was going fine but just went I went to lunch, that's when it started. I felt a pain in the tooth they just fixed. A few days later, I told my mom because I couldn't eat at all in that side and she called to make a checkup. They answered and said," Did we give you a prescription for medicine for the pain?" Would highly recommend. Friendly staff, great attention to detail. Came in for a 2nd opinion after my daughter's former dentist was trying to push a Root canal on a 6 year old. Dr.Lin was very informative every step of the way and made sure my questions were answered an I felt 100% confident in my decision. He was able to do fillings and avoided the root canal. My daughter was the calmest she's ever been at a dentist both visits. All the staff is very comforting and loving. The environment speaks for its self. alittle under staffed, i do have to say i was a walk in but rather have been told it would be a 2hr wait than squeezed in. My son 8yr has a bad gag reflux girls kinda gave up , attitude says it all. I stepped in to help but just asked for Pano Bitewings instead. all the kids waiting in an open floor area while kids crying and throwing up near by bad energy lol. we decided to leave, kinda didn't like openness and obviously the long wait. RUN!!! I really trusted the big talk coming from the care providers in this office only to regret putting my 4 yr old through torture. After declining to have my son strapped down against the recommendation of the dentis, I was able to prepare my son for his visit to install crowns on his molars. This procedure is normally about 45mins. My son was enthusiastic and excited at what was happening and sat still for over an hour. I clocked it with the disney movies they had playing, we started with Luca when he 1st came out of the ocean and my son had had enough well into the 2nd disney movie Encanto when Luisa was singing while carring the donkeys. Well of course my son had had enough I think maybe even the novacaine had worn off at that point some what. My son started moving and feeling pain. And the way this dentist was talking to my son so condescending and belittling him. As I sat to get a closer view I could see just how much this guy had damaged inside my son's mouth with his drill it really looked messed up, he had filed my sons molars to the point that there was almost no molar left. My sons gums where damaged and there was blood all over my baby's face. Both of us left in tears, my son was in obvious pain and now 15 days later his gums are still bleeding every time we brush his teeth. This place may be fine for a check up and cleaning, but anything that requires more work take you loved ones someplace else! read more

The dentist I forgot his name but he advised that I get my sons loose tooth removed as it would not heal, in his opinion it was really bad. He even kept repeating and telling me if I understood in a condescending way. Got a second opinion from my sister in law whose a pediatric dental assistant, after taking X-rays she was left in disbelief as to why the dentist would want to remove a perfectly good tooth. I left his tooth in and it's completely healed now. Would stay away from this place next time. read more

Dr. Lin and Dr. Wen are great! They are super friendly and welcoming and they both made my 13 year old feel comfortable during his appointments. My son was scared when he found out that he was going to need a shot to numb his mouth but after the appointment he said he didn't even feel it and it didn't hurt at all. The staff is also really great and they answered all my questions and didn't make me feel pressured to schedule for things he didn't need. The office is so cute, there are tv's above each exam chair so the kids can watch movies while they are there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know. read more

Pros: Customer Service on point! Set-up automatic reminders! Got us in and out of there! Dentist came out and spoke directly to me. I tried a couple of dentist for my nephew prior to this and there were a few things wrong! This is the Kids Dental Office if you live over here. Con: A little difficult to find. I strongly recommend Kids Dental Planet in Riverside for every parent that has a child that is fearful of dental visits. Dr. Wen and his office staff were professional, very knowledgeable and patient! My daughter had extensive dental procedures that resulted in three consecutive visits and I'm happy to report all procedures were completed and my daughter is no longer afraid of dental offices!! HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. The dentist assistants were very nice but overall experience was absolutely horrible. First time taking my 6 year old to get her baby teeth checked that I had questions about. X rays went fine.. then... the dentist guy came over and oh man... he was trying to tell me that my daughter has a decaying tooth that will need a root canal done. First off, I didn't see anything on her tooth at all. Then he tried telling me that she has 6 cavities, which again I didn't see anything he was pointing at. Then he took me to another room, which I didn't like not being able to see my daughter. Just to tell me that the best option for her is to put her to sleep to get the root canal done. And he showed me the strap that they use to hold the kids down and was like "see is this what you want for her". He would not stop talking about that. He didn't even answer my questions that I had about her baby teeth. Then when I went back where my daughter was they were about to do her cleaning and the assistant dropped a mouth tool on the floor and just grabbed something to wipe it off and put it back. First time bringing my daughter here today. Amazing and great customer service. My daughter doesn't like male doctors but Dr. Lin made her feel comfortable and made her laugh. Definitely found our new place for her dental needs. She was very happy after we left. read more

My son had a toothache and after a horrible experience at another dentist we ended up here. They were very thorough and gave detailed information about everything that needed to be done, prioritized each procedure and was honest and up front about everything. My son had an extraction and a cavity filled. they did not use the laughing gas (it was offered as an option) but everyone was so wonderful, my son was brave and everything went off without a hitch. Oh and it cost a third of what the other office said it was going to cost with my insurance. If you want a dentist who is honest, informative and great at soothing kids anxieties this is the place to go read more

My son has medi-cal, and this office was suggested to me. I called in the afternoon, and they had an appointment available the next morning. My son was the only client there at the time, so he had lots of attention. X-rays and cleaning were done quickly, and everyone was super nice. read more

I have been bringing my kids here for almost 4 years. This dental office was my oldest and youngest first experience with a dentist. Dr.Lin is so friendly and welcoming. Both my kids enjoy coming to this office and even when one of my kids doesn't have an appointment they still want to be seen. The staff here is also very friendly. My kids love that they have TVs on the ceiling so that they can watch tv while they get their cleanings done. I highly recommended this office! read more

My son is 5 years old and needed fillings done..the office did not tell me he couldn't eat 3 hours before having the laughing gas (nitrous oxide) because he could throw up. They also did not numb him enough!! He was in pain and they acted like he was lieing about the pain. We are not going back and I really hope no one else's children end up going thru what my son did. My daughter needed a filling and was not happy about it. She had no problem displaying how unhappy she was! Thankfully the staff was student and kind and calmed her down to perform the procedure which was very quick. Very disappointed. Dr. Lin is great. But one day my son (who has special needs) had the other dentist. Just for an routine checkup and clean. This dentist tells me that my son has four cavities. My mommy radar went up. I took him to my dentist whom I've seen for years. He did x-rays and an exam. My son has ZERO cavities. I'm so mad. Especially the trauma he would have had to go through. I'm giving two stars because I like Dr. Lin. Unfortunately I'll never go back to that establishment. Make sure you get a second opinion. read more

I had an appt set up for both my kids , 1stiff I got their early and the staff took me in , second the staff is super sweet ! Then I met the dentist , oh my gosh ! He is so awesome . my son had 7 cavities and my daughter 1 , I think I was the on freaking out , but the Dr made them feel so comfterable he put the laughing gas on them he did the work fast n easy , he didn't even have to tie my son in the cacoon , he literally makes sure their OK , he makes sure they're comfterable and I honestly just loved him . HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! DO NOT take your child here!!! Our daughter is only 3 and had an abscessed tooth that needed to be pulled. At first the dental office seemed nice. They made a same-day emergency appointment for our daughter, did her exam and scheduled an extensive procedure for the next week. We weren't very impressed with the dentist himself. He didn't seem nurturing. But because of the urgency of the care she needed, we kept the appointment. Upon arriving AND FASTING OUR TODDLER FOR OVER 12 HOURS, as required for the procedure, the dentist tells us we have to pay $2000 up front and then ask our insurance company to REIMBURSE US!!! He stated that he "didn't trust insurance companies to pay." We didn't have that amount of money, nor were we informed that we would need that amount of money up front. So after all of the stress and pain that our daughter endured over the last week, they cared more about money UP FRONT than taking care of a very young child in need of urgent care. read more

Things that go on in the back where parents r not allowed is crazy it will blow your mind. The doctor and the assistant are just not nice people. They yell at the kids cover there mouth when the scream and stuff gauze in there mouth so no one can hear them scream. I hear an assistant tell a child she was going to hit him and the doctor tells the kids they need to do what he say or they won't go home. The wait time is outta control as well. N they way they tie your kids down is just curl. The doctor also does not give the kids enough numbing meds so they feel everything. N the doctor is so cheap they he reuses stuff that is meant for one time use. I don't recommend taking you child her and if you are a regular here find a new doctor. read more
