I'm sure every parents knows the feeling of leaving their child in someone else's care. It's not easy. Kids Haven was the first facility we ever allowed our child out of sight with. They are beyond caring, kind and welcoming. My daughter comes home happy, excited and her growth has been amazing to watch during her duration here. My review: We were so fortunate to find KHP when we were searching for childcare options for our daughter. We toured other in-home daycares, traditional daycares, and Montessori schools, but did not feel the same warmth and connection that we did with Tamara, David, and KHP. They truly love and care for each child as if they were their own. Our daughter started KHP shortly after turning 1 and graduated this past summer. It's been amazing seeing how her growth and development have been directly impacted by her time at KHP. She had the opportunity to explore different interests through their play-based curriculum and develop socio-emotional skills through teacher and peer interactions. This was especially critical during the pandemic when other children were isolated under shelter-in-place conditions. There were days that she actually complained about us picking her up too early because she was having so much fun! She often speaks about her "old friends" and how much she misses them now that she is in "big kid school." Luckily, we are able to revisit these precious memories through photos/videos documented on the Brightwheel app (that I haven't had the heart to delete). Since we don't have much immediate family nearby, the KHP community has really become our chosen family for the past 4 years. It is really nice to see the families show up for their kids at a birthday party or play date outside of the day to day, and find common ground through our kids' shared experiences. We love KHP! Our son attended for over two years. We were heartbroken to leave when we moved because our son was so bonded to the teachers and his friends at school. We always knew our son was safe and was having a full, fun day at KHP. The owners and teachers are wonderful. They were so warm toward our son and they've created such a lovely community. It was great to see daily photos and videos through the bright wheel app and we appreciated the monthly newsletters with updates on each month's themes, learning goals, and activities. There was great communication between the school and parents. They were really supportive of our efforts to potty train and gave special attention to our son whenever he needed it, and especially when his new sibling was born. Snacks and lunch are included, which made it easier to get out the door in the morning. We were so impressed by the effort the owners and teachers put in to creating fun and engaging activities for the kids. Some special activities that stand out are the splash days in the summer, the day the firefighters visited, and the sweet graduation ceremony at the end of each year. Our son really loved the dance parties and all the time to play outside, too. It's a very special school and we are grateful for all KHP has done for our family. This facility has been great. My daughter has never been happier. She wakes up in the mornings excited to see her friends and teachers. It's comforting knowing she's in good hands. Kid's Haven Preschool provides a safe, nurturing, in home, and educational environment for all children. The teacher to student ratio is fantastic and each teacher is hands on and caring. Tamara and her husband David have put together a school that delicately balances the needs of each individual child while incorporating community values and teaching about the important of respecting others. Each day when drop off our son we know in our hearts he is being taken care of by people who genuinely want the best for him - they are patient and loving and have taught him important independence skills as he continues to grow. We love that this school is in their home and in such a safe neighborhood. The family has transformed their home into a full preschool complete with educational/functional toys, focuses of the month, and designated areas for indoor and outdoor activity. The teachers occasionally take the kids on walks to the neighborhood park, always taking care to put hats and sunscreen on each little one. They are sure to teach about stranger danger when in public and provide kids with tools to advocate for themselves in new environments. Ms. Teresa and Ms. Jasmine each have demonstrated a special knack for working with young children and are as good a caretaker as you can get. Kid's Haven Preschool is completely modern by using and app for payment and messages. They post photos nearly every day of the activities kids are involved in and are always happy to provide insight if we have questions or just need to check in on our guy. Kid's Haven has brought joy to my kids life and we will cherish the memories they've made for the rest of our lives. My oldest stated when he was 18 months old, and he will be 6 this October. While my youngest was 15 months old and he just graduated Kid's Haven this past June. It's been bittersweet and we've missed the staff so much. Love KHP! We HIGHLY recommend you consider KHP to find out if it's the right fit for your family and child! (Lots more details below...) We truly feel blessed to have found KHP, which was highly recommended to us by friends who had their daughter attend from 13 months old till graduation at 4.5 years old. Our son initially attended a Montessori school (in a different city) where the experience was traumatizing for him and we ended up pulling him due to pandemic anyway. But, we were very stressed and worried to find the next best place for him, given that prior experience. We never considered in-home preschool until some friends gave us many pros as to why they think in-home is better. KHP is everything our son needed: a place to feel safe, to learn, to grow, and to feel truly cared for and loved. To say we feel lucky to have found KHP is an understatement. Things we love about KHP (in no particular order): * The owners - we can't say enough great things about Tamara and David. They not only have the skills needed and required to care for little ones, but you can tell that it's something that they want to do, not have to do. It's very apparent that they truly care for and love the children. Graduation had me nearly in tears from the sweet things Tamara and David said about our little guy. I knew they loved him, but seeing and feeling it during graduation was very touching. * The Teachers - Jasmine and Teresa are fantastic! Our little guy is very talkative, so he always came home telling us about his day, which included his interactions with Ms. Jasmine and Ms. Teresa. * App - used for invoices, payments, photo/videos of your child during the day, and quick and easy communication with the owners and staff. * Photo/Video updates - They share these with you frequently via the app so you are updated with what your child is doing and how they are doing. I LOVE seeing these photos and videos from them! * Great Communication - They are easily reachable through email or the app, and respond back very timely. * Monthly Newsletters (via email) - they share what the kids will be learning the upcoming month that's related to a theme (usually coincides with a holiday or season), as well as important announcements and upcoming dates. * Space - Spacious indoor and outdoor areas for designated activities for the children where they learn through play. Tamara and David transformed their home into a very effective in-home preschool. We visited a few others that didn't even come close in comparison. * Child-Teacher Ratio - they are better than the minimum requirement, making them better than every other preschool we visited (Montessori's, in-home, other, etc). It's an intimate environment where you feel your child has the attention they need and deserve. * Personalization - they tailor their attention and teaching to the needs of the child, as well as depending on the age of the child. Which is very important given the age range of preschool. * Healthy lunches & snacks - all provided and included! Huge plus for busy parents. * Opened Hours - 7:30am-5:30pm is a fantastic time-range for busy working parents where the cost is inclusive of these operating hours. My 2 year old son started attending this preschool/daycare over the summer. In the beginning, we thought everything about this place was perfect. The price was reasonable, Tamara (the owner) seemed nice, and we were excited to finally find a good place for our son. One day we got a message from another parent who just recently pulled their child from this place. She warned us about some disturbing things going on here and advised us to pull our child as well. She gave us the phone number of the assistant working with Tamara to speak with her regarding these claims. I called the assistant and she confirmed everything the parent claimed. Apparently Tamara has a very bad temper and would constantly yell at the children. She said there was a specific time when Tamara got mad at my son, grabbed him, and literally was SHAKING HIM while yelling at him!! In addition, the newly potty trained children would not get help when using the restroom and would spend the day in urine soaked clothing. They rarely follow their daily schedule/curriculum and the children are not learning the material they claim. She also said there were many times Tamara would be upstairs napping while she would have to take care of all the kids by herself. I pulled my son immediately and apparently other parents were notified and pulled their children as well. Several parents (including myself) have filed complaints against them. The assistant no longer works there and I am genuinely concerned about the remaining children left in Tamara's care. There are so many other horrible things we were told about this place, but I am already writing an essay here. Long story short, looks are deceiving and I have lost all trust with in-home daycare facilities because of Tamara. read more

We have loved Kids Haven for the last four years! Our son started there when he was 2 and graduated last year, and our daughter started at 1 and is in her last year now. Both of our kids have been so happy and made wonderful friends there, and we all adore the teachers. They do fun activities, crafts, and sensory exploration and focus on age-appropriate skills that help the children develop independence. It is very play focused but is more than just a daycare. There is a nice outdoor play area and they are always changing out the toys and activities. The teachers are caring, gentle, responsible, and attentive. They provide healthy food and are very flexible and understanding. They have really created a community for the children and parents. We are so grateful to have found Kids Haven! read more

From the moment we stepped into Kids Haven we knew this was going to be the place for us. My almost 2 year old at the time started back in 2017 and my 18 month old will be joining him this summer. The teachers are amazing and so loving, they are truly like family. I feel 100% confident in dropping my kids off in their care knowing that they will be safe and loved. Kid's Haven is an excellent preschool, they cover curriculum, arts and crafts, outside time and of course play. My son is fully prepared for Kindergarten, he knows his numbers and letters by memory and sight. His art skills have progressed over the years and has begun writing letters and learning to read. They have STEM activities on a monthly basis, a fitness day that incorporates fitness and play as well as celebrating special occasions, holidays and going on field trips. Our son has been attending Kid's Haven for almost two years and it's honestly been the best experience, for not only him, but also for my husband and myself. My 3.5 year old daughter has been going here for the past year and a half, and my baby will be going when she turns one (she's 6 months now). Tamara and David run an amazing in home preschool. They are warm, considerate, and personally love on my daughter; their staff are just as invested in my daughter's emotional and physical well-being. I have found that they emphasize imaginative play and focus on teaching empathy and other EQ social skills. My daughter has been on the slow boat for potty training, and they have been so patient with her. Logistically, my life is made much easier by them providing breakfast, lunch, and snack, all home cooked meals made right in their kitchen. 3 years old is a precocious age, but I've been constantly impressed by what my daughter has learned over the past year and a half, from knowing the whole pledge of allegiance when she was 2 to understanding the concepts behind some of their STEM projects. My grandchildren attended Kid's Haven Preschool, and it was wonderful! A few things I loved was that they put out a monthly calendar every month of all their activities, so we always knew what they were doing, as well as a meal calendar of what they were serving each day. I also love that breakfast & lunch are included in the price of tuition. They always uploaded pictures and videos throughout the day, which was great for when I was missing them and wanted to see them. They were always very attentive to us and the children. They also have lots of different activities they do with the kids, like STEM projects, and fit n fun days (their favorite). I could go on and on, I'm sure there are things I've missed. But all in all, we absolutely loved our time at Kid's Haven Preschool, and are so appreciative to them for everything they've done for us and the kids. read more
