When my son was 18 months old and showing signs of delays I was told by the pediatrician, my family…read moreand friends, etc that boys take longer and to wait it out. My mama heart knew that time was not going to be the fix so I started calling therapy providers for help. Every place I called was enthusiastic until they found out I didn't have the 'right' insurance. The only place that did not close the door in my face was CTC. They evaluated my son for Speech and Occupational concerns and suggested a treatment plan that would fit my budget for a couple months until November, when I could apply for better Health Insurance coverage. Months later they suggested my son get evaluated by a neuropsychologist and referred me to a top rated Doctor that was In Network with my insurance and did not have a lengthy waitlist. I believe I waited 3 weeks for our appointment. The results of that evaluation were devastating, and I was quickly overwhelmed, feeling lost and heartbroken. But I was not alone. The therapists, technicians, administrative staff and even the owner of the clinic supported and guided my son and I into our new reality with the utmost compassion and care. They did not simply provide the therapy my son needed. I was provided parent training through observation, participation and private meetings with my son's therapy team. They taught me to understand my son and how to parent a child with different abilities. I was introduced to the parent support group where for the first time I was among parents that were in the same boat and faced the same challenges at home and out in the world. These other parents are now my best friends...and their children are my sons' friends. We look forward to playdates, park meet-ups and birthday parties where before I was afraid of or shy'd away from these activities. I am proud of how much progress my son has made with thanks to his dedicated therapy providers at Childrens therapy connections and I am grateful for the support and community they have given us. If you have a child that you suspect is delayed have them evaluated at CTC. There is a shortage of Therapy for children across the board so if you are going to be waitlisted anywhere you call, this is the waitlist you want to be on.

We are loving everything about CTC: the facilities, cleanliness, activities, and most importantly…read morethe therapists and staff. We know our daughter is getting the best care at CTC.

Very disappointed in this facility. Unfortunately I tried to give them several opportunities before…read moreI decided to give my review but it's sad to say the other reviews are completely accurate. Very unprofessional from staff. There is constant cursing and staff talking to the residents rudely. There is no accountability and when I filed a complaint about a situation that occurred, it wasn't taken seriously and I decided not to return. The type of professional care is few and far between; the good workers typically don't stay.

Well, I have too many complaints so I'll try to get in the most important. COVID! Poor reaction…read morefrom Grace the infection control officer. 2 people died. Then staff scrambling to this day by not having some kind of plan . Rude staff. I heard a CNA Jazmine tell a patient she was nasty. The patient could not swallow her food so the CNA took her food tray and put it on the food cart. I guess Jazmine thought calling the patient nasty a couple of times was her way of helping the patient. That lady and another man died within hours of each other in a few days later. Most not all nursing staff need to do better. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians you can say. I stay in Unit 2 so I can't say all but the CNAs I deal with on a daily basis are bad. Lazy rude, late on call lights. Talk about patients. Best of all leave the facility on company time. Not for breaks either. Kitchen it took several months for them to get it right as far as my dietary needs. I am here for a reason so I cannot eat certain foods. Week after week my trays were not accurate.. It took my family to call here and get upset. Now so far it's ok. Food is bad. Not nutritional. Slop whatever for us old folk I guess. This is just a few of many the corporate needs to investigate. Laundry and House keeping is good. Wendy and Jackie are great. Call light alarm system is not hooked up to the nursing stations. The rely on vision not sound. If someone pulls the call cord no alarm goes too the nurse's station. So if a lightbulb burns out or the staff just is too lazy to get up off their behinds, that patient will just be neglected. Neglect and abuse are a Team here at Palos Heights Rehabilitation Center in Crestwood Illinois. Thank You.

My fiancé has been struggling with health issues for months and recently sought treatment at this…read morelocation. Before going, they confirmed his insurance would be accepted while setting up the appointment and cover his appointment at 100%. A few days later he goes in for his appointment, which he was told again was covered 100% by his insurance. About a week later we received a call saying they don't take his insurance actually at all and we now have to pay $150 dollars out of pocket. We were busy at the time and didn't have the time to deal with issue or talk to them right then, so we decided to call them later to dispute this issue as it seemed a little fishy. Then today, just 4 days since they called us last, they called us again saying that we owed them $150 and if we don't pay ASAP they will increase it to $500. When I tried to explain to person we spoke with that we were told the insurance was not only accepted by covered it at 100% several times, she then started talking down to me explaining as though I was a six year old child trying to explain deductibles to me all while failing to realize their is no deductible on his health plan. So after having enough of this employee try to poorly describe what deductibles are to me for a plan that has none so it's not relevant at all, I thanked her time and told her I would go above her head to speak to someone who actually knows what's going on. After this pathetic attempt at customer service from the location, we contacted corporate who immediately made sure they understood our situation and would do everything in their power to resolve it as quickly as possible. They forwarded the information to the director for review and we are waiting to hear back. The only reason I am adding a second star is because the corporate customer service was polite, friendly, and wanting to help as opposed to the absolutely arrogant attitude of the employee we spoke to at this specific location.
