Every issue I have ever had has been met with "we are right, you are wrong" from the management. There are a couple amazing teachers, but without the needed support from Management, there will not be able to flourish the program as needed. Pesonal don't pay attention at all , just want be there for salary . Toys very old and looks like never been cleaned up. My boy was crying every single day,never eat enything there. I thought something wrong with my kid . But then I change it in to the other place. New daycare way better than this place. Now my boy happy , never cry !!!! eat everything they give to kids (by the way - more fruits in a new place). On the final end they didnt return secutity deposit, because we give them a note 25 day not a 30 days . But when I asked about it (before write notification letter) they said it is not a problem this 5 days. They said they will return money. But guess whats happen? I attended from grade 2 - 12 and enjoyed every minute of it. The academic integrity of this school is above any other that I know of, and the teachers are incredibly passionate about their jobs. I wasn't a role model student, I needed a little bit more help than some, but the teachers would always put in the extra time to help me and to make sure that I understood the material. My colleagues that left MVA for another high school have often told me that the switch wasn't worth it because they were receiving a lower grade of education in trade of a bigger school with my more kids. If it weren't for the extra care and attention I received while I was attending school, I would likely not be studying for my B.Sc Psyc at UVic today. MVA helped build a solid foundation for my education, and as a result have opened many doors for me that may not have been available otherwise. Though I am bias in my opinion, obviously, it is only because I did go to the school for over a decade; I experienced first hand the quality and care that all the teachers (including the administration, as they often switch between teaching and managing) give to their students. If I could go back in time and choose differently, I wouldn't. I love this school, and if I have children in the future, MVA is my first choice. 5/5 - Would attend again

As an ESL student, I often needed extra help from the teachers due to my English level at the time, the teachers always stayed after school to assist me to go over the materials I needed help with. Because the class size was relatively small compared to public high schools, the teachers were able to ensure each one of their students was getting the best education they deserved. As an international student who came to Canada alone, I needed help not only with school but also with things in life in Calgary, i.e. finding a homestay family to stay with, extending my study permit and having someone there for me to talk to when I needed. I couldn't thank Mrs. P and Mrs S enough for all they've done for me throughout my journey here. They've gone above and beyond for what their responsibilities were as my high school principals. They took care of me like I was one of their children. My parents to this day still talk about them and thank them for taking such a good care of me. As cheesy as it may sound, MVA to me was not only my high school, but also my home. The help I received from MVA did not stop after I graduated from the school. After I graduated from MVA, I was accepted to University of Calgary. I was able to come back to school and asked the teachers to help me to go over my papers when I needed help. I graduated from the university 4 years later, and have been working for an oil and gas company since. Without the education and the help I received from MVA, I wouldn't be where I am today. Yelp only allows me to give 5 stars, I give MVA 1,000,000 stars!!

I was on phone with the owner Marlene several times before the enrolment and could tell she was really struggled and trying really hard to make this happen especially in the pandemic environment. Every evening after picking my daughter up, I receive a few photos of her with the day's activities and a full report, which is so nice to get and is very helpful. The curriculum is awesome, my 1 year old is active throughout the day, and they are so creative with activities: from art to music to crafts even at this young age. They also go for a walk or play in their outside yard most days if the weather permits. The food at the daycare is pretty good, but is somewhat grains heavy, includes a lot of bread, pasta, rice etc. Of course, kids like it. I try to balance it out at home by giving more meat and veggies.

Employees rate Brightpath 1.7 out of 5 on Glassdoor.ca. Remember, when you're dropping your kids off, you're leaving them with people who feel "bullied", "overworked", and "underpaid". Run by a company who "would rather you fill out paperwork all day than supervise/interact with children". Our older son is special needs (speech), and as such had a team of workers assigned through the PUF program (Government of Alberta). We last met with them for a progress report on the 4th of March, at which time we came up with some new strategies to address issues he was having in class. The teachers reported back over the coming days that he was doing really well and even asked us to reward him at home for being so good at school! On March 11th the management asked us to come in for a meeting at 3pm - with one day's notice. If we were available at 3pm on a weekday we wouldn't need childcare. We responded that we would need to arrange a time that worked for us, like 5pm, or 8am. The management would not agree to this, and so we had to put off the meeting until I had a morning off, on March 21st. At this meeting they told me they were kicking our son out. So to summarize : March 4th we strategize how to make things better. From March 5th - 10th he does great. On March 11th he's kicked out. This decision was made before March 4th, or the progress from that meeting would have been taken into account. I asked the management team about this, but they just said the decision had already been made, and blamed me for the short notice because I couldn't attend the meetings they had suggested earlier. So the decision was made, prior to March 4th, so why wait until March 11th to tell us? Money. The only reason we weren't told about the decision prior is so that Brightpath could get one more month's tuition out of us for our two kids. Brightpath is only worried about their income (another common sentiment from their employees), not about the well being of the families they work with. Our son will now lose his PUF funding for speech therapy. The management doesn't care. We have only 9 days notice to try and find somewhere to take him because neither of us can take time off work. The management doesn't care. I'm going to report all of this to PUF, Calgary Regional Childcare Licensing, and every social media platform I can think of. We'll see if they care about that.
