Currently, she's receiving speech and occupational therapy from Kidz Speak. Her speech therapist is "Ms. Trish" Sumner and her OT is "Ms. Lindsey" Giles; both therapists are licensed professionals, with the academics and experience needed to help your child. Catherine loves them and is always excited to go to her appointments; she thinks she's playing. I've sat in on speech and OT sessions, and it amazes me how the therapists work to help Catherine improve on her language skills as well as her fine motor skills. Even if your child is receiving services through the school system, it is not enough. I HIGHLY recommend Kidz Speak. The one-on-one attention your child will receive is critical to helping them reach their fullest potential. I wish your and your child the best.

I will say that there were a few people that were nice and helpful, but overall the company was terrible. The problems: Lack of communication and information, periods of waiting on nurses and staff members or not knowing when they are coming, medicine and supplies not showing up on time, the kit of pain meds they promised did not come until 11 days after my mom came home. A few items I've requested several times came after my mother died. There were several phone calls to different people which made it confusing. Someone on the phone was unprofessional and cold when I spoke with her about some specific concerns. The nurses never stayed longer than 30 minutes and always left while my mother was in extreme agitation and they would not assess her for pain. They leave it up to you. How can you leave a patient screaming in agitation with a traumatized family member? It states in their pamphlet that they provide continuous care during critical times but I was told by the nurse that they do not provide continuous care and that I should call them after my mother dies (which happened a few hours later). During an emergency, I waited 3 hours until a nurse arrived. That was the worst. I was left alone to figure out what to do. I had no idea what I was doing and did not feel comfortable with it. I could call and ask for advice but it is not the same without hands on support. They usually told me to keep giving her pain meds and sedatives. No one should have to go through this, especially alone. No one should have to be spending time away from their dying loved ones to makes phone calls and wait for help and stress over what to do!

Progress reports, evals, and plans of care are all done on time and are very, very thorough and accurate. I've been able to email or text occasional questions between sessions and have gotten responses within the day. The office staff is highly responsive and very knowledgeable about insurance, etc. Because of their services, my gs has moved from the 10th percentile to the 42nd percentile in speech in just a year, only has 1 gross motor skill that we are still working with, and is in the normal range for mobility, range of motion, etc. Without their help, we would be struggling with a lot of different issues.
