Kidz Planet has been an amazing part of our family the past few years and as we prepare to move on to TK there are so many memories and moments to reflect on! All their staff deeply care for all the kids and literally rotate at times so that your kiddo is familiar with everyone, making transitions smoother. The family events and special activities arranged for the kids help create a supportive community and encourage social development. Most importantly, we felt our kiddo was safe in a very supervised and supportive team that was mindful of food allergies and health needs. A safe and welcoming place you can take your kids when you go to work. My son started here at the age of three after a less than ideal experience at an at-home daycare. From day one, Karla welcomed my son and family with open arms. Even with my son's speech delay, Karla along with all the staff instantly made me feel comfortable, and reassured. Things I love about Kidz Planet: The meals and snacks that come with the tuition. Summer Camp is a must. My son looked forward to water day when it was on the calendar. They are thoughtful with applying sunscreen on your kiddos when it gets hot. The school throws festive events and they have a ton of preschool spirit. The buffer to drop off and pick up is helpful with unpredictable work hours. The brightwheel app is my daily dose of dopamine. I love looking forward to photos and videos of the kiddos. We absolutely LOVE Kidz Planet, and feel so incredibly lucky to have our daughter attend full-time for two years! It's truly been the most wonderful experience. We have been with Kidz Planet since our son started at age 3. Our twin daughters joined shortly after. Trusting the establishment and the employees where our children would be for a majority of the day was so important to us and we absolutely found that and more here at Kidz Planet. Our kids genuinely enjoy going to school everyday, they love their teachers, and they have grown and developed so much since starting here. The establishment itself is always clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff is always on top of decorating according to the season or whatever learning unit they are in. They also host the best events! They are so much fun and family friendly. A huge shoutout to each and every amazing teacher and staff member for creating such an amazing place for our children to be. And a special special shout-out to Ms. Karla, the director of the school. She pours her heart and soul into everything that she does here and our family is so grateful for her! Kidz Planet has been nothing short of a blessing to our family. I vetted daycares and preschools extensively and this one checked all the boxes. It's play-based and uses fun activities to teach children many different lessons and skills, the administrators care and are present and active, the teachers are phenomenal and love each child treating them each with care and respect, and the facility is new and clean. Not to mention, the kitchen is great and the children eat real fruits and veggies and have a balanced diet. Both my children attend and they are thriving. My husband and I are very involved in the school activities and the administrators welcome involvement from parents and do not shy away from any conversations about our children's development or needs. We feel very well taken care of which says something because there are many families at the school! The community is caring and parents are friendly with one another. We've made friends with many parents in my children's class which makes play dates even more fun. It helps that Kidz planet is very intentional about their programming and host events where parents can meet and interact. I always had stage freight as a child and my son used to cry on stage but the plays they do has helped him be so confident - he loves it and is always excited when practicing for a new play. We've had our daughter at Kidz Planet almost a year and had a wonderful experience. The admin team is excellent: responsive, kind, and welcoming. My daughter has been in two classrooms so she's had four main teachers who have all been amazing. The facility also has what I would describe as floating staff. Team members that don't seem to be assigned to specific classrooms but kind of jump in and help out as needed to give breaks and make sure the teachers are able to be as engaged with the kids as possible. It's really nice knowing our daughter has so many lovely people watching her. Every teacher seems to know her name and she even had a relationship with the admin team. They do breakfast, lunch, and snacks here which we LOVE. Other facilities ask you to bring food and I can't express enough how nice it is to not have to worry about that. I love the app they use to communicate with us. Super easy, gives updates on everything that happens each day, and I love getting pictures and videos of their activities. Lastly, they do a lot of activities and events for the kids. Themed crafts and spirit days/weeks. Events for Mother and Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas... plus they have a guy come in every Friday to play music with the kids. They've had a bubble lady and an animal guy too. I love that my daughter gets to experience so much here. Our son will be starting in a few months and I fully trust the staff to make it another excellent experience. I struggle to find the words to explain how much our family absolutely adores Kidz Planet. The entire team at KP goes above and beyond in every single way. Our daughter started at 7 months old and is absolutely thriving. There is so much thought put into the kid's day, their schedule and development. My son joined Kidz Planet the first day they opened last July. We love it and are thrilled with this new location (their second)! The director, Ms. Karla, was warm and welcoming from our tour before joining, and every day since. She is dedicated to making this daycare outstanding! It's safe, clean, fun-filled, nurturing, and educational. The classrooms and outside play areas are divided to be age-appropriate, and are well kept in terms of being sanitized/cleaned well daily/weekly. The teachers are welcoming, fun, and very nurturing! They plan weekly lesson plans that includes learning and fun indoors and outdoors (e.g. sensory bins, reading, music, art and crafts, etc.) During the Spring/Summer kids enjoy time outside in their play areas for snack time/circle time, and weekly water days! They use the Brightwheel app to communicate daily activities (e.g. snack meal times and how much your child ate, start/end of nap time, potty breaks, messages to parents for any concerns, etc.). This app is also used to share daily photos of your child to update parents throughout the day, and weekly classroom curriculum, the monthly menu, newsletters, special events for kids/parents, etc. They provide breakfast, lunch, 2 snacks all prepared from their own kitchen/chef on-site. They have a monthly menu that is released ahead of time and the snacks/meals are well-balanced and nutritious! Ms. Karla is the mastermind behind all the decorating and planning for their special events throughout the year for each holiday, celebrating diversity, and Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Ms. Tamie does a phenomenal job decorating and being festive throughout the year! Kidz Planet hosts Halloween parties, Thanksgiving dinner, and a Winter Wonderland family event for your child and family. These events are very impressive with their decorations and generosity with food provided, fun activities for the kids, and entertainment for everyone! Gathering at these events with the Kidz Planet staff and the other parents has been great to learn more about them. Overall, my son has thrived at Kidz Planet over the past 9+ months. I am so grateful to have Kidz Planet care for my son as I never worry about his care and well-being when he is there throughout the week. Amazing facility, caring staff, great communication. Our son has been at Kidz Planet in Concord for about 7 months and we have nothing but good things to say about his (and our) experience. He has been in two different classrooms and each of them have the most caring staff that clearly care about how he's doing and are excited to see him each day. Arriving at school each day our son is greeted by name by several teachers and staff members. He runs into the arms of his teachers and loves his days at Kidz Planet. The use of the Brightwheel app was new to us and such a refreshing experience. Being able to see meals, photos, and incidents is a huge plus. Outside of what you'd expect from a childcare facility, Kidz Planet also does a great job at planning events for the students and parents. Dance parties where musicians come to the campus to play for the kids, water days when it's hot, and bringing in animal handlers to show off new and exciting animals to the kids just to name a few. One of our favorite things is how well every staff member communicates with us about our son's day. What he enjoyed, things he struggled with, milestones, how he just "seemed" that day. It was always very through and appreciated. We will miss our time at Kidz Planet and are only moving our son to another school so he can be at the same school as his older sister. We hope to one day return to Kidz Planet for their infant care depending on what the future holds! read more

TLDR: Highly recommend Kidz Planet if you're looking for childcare! They were great in caring for our son, helping him meet milestones and fostering social skills with other kiddos.  Our son really loved it here, he bonded with all of the teachers and enjoyed all of the activities they planned out daily - whether it was sensory bin experiences, "snow" days, arts and crafts, etc. The weekly music class with Samba James was always a hit too, we loved seeing videos of him dancing around to the music. They allow sibling drop offs as well, space permitting, so sometimes our oldest would be able to go in on a day his regular school was closed. He also loved it there and sometimes would ask to go back! Communication was great all around - we consistently received daily pictures, videos as well as food/nap updates through Brightwheel. They would send updates about any changes, and always addressed our questions/concerns.  Breakfast, snacks, lunch were provided by the onsite chef. They have a really great shaded outdoor space that is sectioned off with age appropriate structures as well as a larger area where they can ride their little cars and trikes. They do a great job with sanitizing and cleaning up and at the end of the day, the rooms are so neat and clean! I love that they have a curriculum and planned activities so they aren't doing the same things everyday.  My favorite part and what really sets them apart are the fun parties they throw - both for the kids during the day and for Kidz Planet families at the end of the day - I was so impressed with their Halloween party, Thanksgiving, Winter Wonderland... they go all out with the decorations and even have little sectioned off areas for kids to play (bounce house, climbing area, sensory bin station, etc.). They provide dinner, dessert, entertainment (i.e. your kids parade and music) and it is really nice to get to know some of the families of the kids in your child's class! read more

I've struggled to write this review, only because I don't know where to start in singing the praises for Kidz Planet and everyone who works there. We were one of the first families to start at the new location in the Oak Grove complex. (We were decidedly NOT patient for them to open, having been on the wait list for over a year, and driving by regularly during construction to check on progress.) Our daughter was 19 months old when KP opened their doors, and we sent her full-time from day one. Her first teacher, Ms. Vanessa, is incredibly caring, funny, friendly, and approachable. Our daughter cried every day at drop-off for two weeks and Ms. Vanessa was totally unfazed, and worked with us to ease the transition into this new environment. Our daughter is now in the 2s room (with some of her friends from Ms. Vanessa's class!) and loves her new teachers, the activities, dress-up days, and especially Friday music and dance parties with Samba James. Our son also recently started at Kidz Planet when he was 8 months old. He's in the infants room and is happy to go to school every day. He seems to enjoy his teachers and the toys in the room (and he's eating and sleeping well while at school). As parents, there's so much to love about Kidz Planet. The staff is incredibly communicative, sharing updates and photos throughout the day via the Brightwheel app. It's so fun to follow along with what the kids are up to, and to prompt some after-school conversation with our toddler to ask her about her day. The days are structured, with theme weeks including learning about animals, Black History Month, Dr. Seuss, and more. The summer programming is especially impressive, with lots of water play days and dress-ups to keep the kids engaged year-round. We have every confidence that our kids are incredibly well cared for; our daughter has food allergies and has had oral surgery, and in both cases, the chefs and her teachers have worked with us to ensure that she is eating what's safe for her. The facility is secure and quiet (despite its location at a busy intersection!), with separate play areas outside for kids of different ages and requiring a code to enter the building to ensure that only the appropriate caregivers are able to get inside. The kids are provided breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day, all of which are prepared onsite. Both of our kids eat better at school than they do at home, and it is so nice to not have to worry about what to pack them for meals. Lastly (but certainly not least!), the community of fellow KP families is strong, formed through interactions at pick-up and drop-off, regular school events which foster connections, and the fact that everyone lives relatively close which makes playdates outside of school hours a breeze. Overall, we are thrilled to have found a home at Kidz Planet. We have every intention of keeping both of our kids there through pre-k, and it will be a very sad day when our son graduates! I cannot recommend this school more highly. read more

We have been at Kidz Planet since November 2023. Our son was a little over 2 when he started school and we originally went to a different school in Danville before switching to Kidz Planet. Here are the differences we saw in comparing the two: - Food! Kidz Planet has a kitchen onsite and staff who prepare breakfast, snacks and lunch. In comparison, our first school we would need to prepare a lunch box which our son barely touched and hard to keep warm. Since all the kids are eating the same food, peer pressure has helped him try different foods to have more versatility and variety. Breakfast at 830am is also so clutch. As working parents, we can ensure we can get out the door in the morning in a timely manner and not have to worry if he is hungry. - The updates! Our first school wanted minimal interactions with the teachers. We did not get updates on whether he was sleeping or if he used the potty. Drop off was outside the classroom so we had minimal opportunities to chat. At Kidz Planet, you can touch base at drop off or pick up. Teachers log the time a nap starts to stop. In the 2 year old class we were notified if he went to the potty. You get updates on what he has for breakfast and lunch. You frequently get photos. - The staff are amazing. There are so many day 1 teachers and staff. The management staff really take the concerns of parents to heart. It truly feels like family here. All the teachers are always smiling and greeting kids from various classes. At our first school, the teachers did not smile very often and our son would cry at drop off for over a month. We were made to feel that there was something wrong with him. There was a clear disconnect between the directors and teachers. At Kidz Planet so many of the staff have little ones or grown kids and so they coach us through these drop offs and meltdowns. At two year old, our son was still developing his language skills and expressing his emotions and Kidz Planet uses loving strategies to foster growth and independence in a warm and welcoming environment. - The curriculum. We originally thought we wanted a more academic environment. What we learned from our first school experience is that at 2 year old we are not trying to teach them philosophy and physics. At our first school, our son would come home melting down, hungry, tired and emotional. He feared our separation at drop off. At Kidz Planet, he is running to Ms. Silvia's 3 year old classroom door to say good morning. Just this morning, I asked if he was ready for "big boy school" as we drove by De La Salle HS and he told me "No Mama, I go to Ms Silvia school. Ms Silvia school is home". I spoke with a family therapist that our pediatrician recommended before making the switch to Kidz Planet back in November. She specialized in early childhood transitions. She told me that it's not about the academics at this age. It's about the environment being able to foster emotional stability. If you have that emotional stability, your child will thrive. And that's what we saw. His language progressed, the meltdowns subsided, he is becoming more independent day by day. He often sings to himself in the car as we are driving to school in the morning. I am so grateful for the culture that Ms Karla and her team have built to allow him to thrive in this environment. He is a high energy boy, busy body that needed a big classroom to explore and this school is big enough to allow him to get his wiggles out and learn to socialize with others in a group learning environment. - Lastly the activities this place puts on is unmatched. They go all out for the holidays and honestly any opportunity to celebrate they do. They put on school performances in the late afternoon which I really don't know of any other programs that does this at such a young age. My daughter joined Kidz Planet the first day they opened in July 2023. As first time parents, finding a facility that fosters a loving community, offers fun and engaging activities both inside and outside, and has teachers that truly care about the kids was essential. We researched several daycares and childcare facilities before finding Kidz Planet and after we toured it in person we knew it was the right place for our daughter. Like any first time baby in daycare, our daughter was unsure at first, but everyone at Kidz Planet quickly won over her heart. Her language has exploded since starting and she's learned how to share toys and interact with other kids her same age. Day to day activities are changed up so the kids are engaged and involved, with different activities such as creative art/sensory, music/movement, dramatic play, outside play, as well as special themed weeks and events that also include parents. Summer months have lots of safe water play and fun themed days to keep things new and exciting. It's really nice that they provide all food (snacks and breakfast and lunch), which is one less stressor for busy parents to worry about. Ms. Karla runs the day to day operations and is always available to talk in person or by email about any concerns. You can tell she truly cares about every child having the best experience and making sure parents feel comfortable. Our daughter has been in classrooms with Ms. Samia, Ms. Sandra, Ms. Tami, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Andrea, Ms. Neda and Ms. Nora and all have been nothing short of amazing. We are so grateful for the experience we have had at Kidz Planet and do not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for high quality care for their child. read more

This school is very clean, has an onsite kitchen which provides good nutrition food and the director Karla is amazing and they have great kid-family events. The major downfall is high teacher turnover specifically in the toddler 2s room. Can't speak on the other classrooms. My son's class has had constant teacher changes which has been disruptive to observe especially parents I know with kids at other schools are not experiencing this. After speaking with other parents at KP, they have shared similar thoughts on this issue and currently one of the teachers, might be an assistant Luz or Liz? barely acknowledges the parents and unable to communicate any update on how a child did for the day. The primary teacher Vanessa does seem more involved though. Despite the constant turnover, the former teachers whole left in this class were invested and more approachable. It has gone downhill since this change to the degree where one parent told me they recently pulled their child out and moved to a different school which was sad to hear.It's unfortunate as the school itself is nice but children really need consistency with teachers which is lacking. Hopefully they can make some improvements on this. Beyond this, KP does have fun family events and academic themes for the children which are all a positive. read more

We love Kidz Planet so much! Our daughter has been going there since they opened last summer, and every day has been full of fun, learning and care from all of the teachers and staff. Between the daily communication, (both in person at pickup and drop off, and through a special app), as well as putting on special events for families, they have really cultivated a strong sense of community, that we feel so grateful to be a part of. They provide delicious and nutritious meals and snacks, which is a big help for our family. Each day's activities and lessons are well-planned and designed to help the kids develop cognitively, as well as their motor skills. There are often themed weeks or special events like the "Kidz Choice Awards" and all of the teachers really get into the spirit and really make a real wonderland for the kiddos. The director (Ms. Karla): She is committed to the success of the daycare. She has done excellent work planning activities, developing curriculum, and staying on top of every little detail. Besides her commitment, she is extremely sweet with kids and parents alike. She transmits real love for every single kid. 2. Building community: Kidz Planet holds parties regularly, where parents are able to interact. These events have helped build a strong community. 3. The teachers: Our son has been with Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Sandra, Ms. Samiya, Ms. Andrea, Ms. Jasmine, and Ms. Brandy. All of them are very sweet and caring towards the kids. Ms. Sandra, Ms. Vanessa, and Ms. Andrea have been in charge of our son for longer periods of time. After every transition to a new class, our son keeps saying the name of his former teacher for weeks. I think this shows the love he has for them, which was built from the care and fun that our son experienced. 4. Communication: Every single day, we talk to our son's teacher, and they tell us how our son is evolving. Teachers pay close attention to the development of kids and effectively transmit their observations to parents. 5. Flexible schedule: I love that I can drop off and pick up my son anytime.
