Karen was so sweet & helpful right when I stepped foot into the store. I originally came for their Creme de Corps body butter because I have been hearing great reviews about it. Karen suggested I get this collab w/ Milk Bar that included the body butter, 2 lip balms, & a cute pink pouch it came with that was the same price as the body butter alone! I was also curious about their skincare products. I let her know some things I have been having issues with my skin, so she did a skin analysis & was able to recommend products my skin actually needed. I must say, I already see such a huge difference in my skin. I have always been so hesitant of buying products from here because of the price. But, now that I will be entering my 30s pretty soon, I think it's time to invest in good skincare products. I will definitely be back in the future to refill my products & invest in a few more items. I am writing to express my disappointment with the treatment my wife received at the Del Amo Mall store on Saturday. It was one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. The employee assisting us, Karen, was extremely rude, confrontational, and unprofessional from the beginning of the interaction. Rather than simply helping us purchase the products we came in for, she repeatedly pressured my wife to buy additional items, even after my wife clearly and politely declined multiple times. The situation became even more frustrating when Karen refused to look up our account information. Instead, she insisted that my wife update the information on her mother's account before she would proceed with the purchase. My wife explained several times that the account belonged to her mother and that she was not comfortable changing another person's account information. Despite this reasonable explanation, Karen became increasingly combative, spoke to my wife in a hostile and dismissive tone, and ultimately refused to complete the sale. There was absolutely no reason for this interaction to escalate the way it did. We were simply trying to purchase your products, yet we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. No customer should be treated this way. It was only fitting her name was Karen!!! read more

Today was the Grand Opening and it was a BIG deal. The first 50 folks in line got $500 Kiehl's gift cards, champagne and sweets. Imagine what you can buy with $500 - about 4 teensy vials of lotion. :) Get it? Cause it's expensive? ...Anyway, the line was crazy long and accompanied by a legion of Kiehl's beauty experts and security guard. Folks wanted to get in - even if they weren't the first 50 - to buy anything and everything. Those cupcakes must be laced with crack? This Kiehl's location is like any other. I am so excited to see my very favorite lotion on sale. The Christmas dual pack! At $110 dollars. This is a great deal because this will last me for a whole year!!! I tried to order this on line, but it was sold out!!! I call my usual location in Manhattan Beach, but no one picked up the phone. I called this location and a wonderful sales girl by the name of Tomi, answered the phone. I told what was going on & she checked to see if they had this in stock! Not many she said, but she made it happen!!! I was able to purchase this over the phone to secure products!!!! She was so happy to set this up for me. Where do I start. I went into Kiehl's one day just to grab some midnight recovery serum (which I had heard amazing things about) and walked out with a kit with that and a few other products. That was about 8 months ago and I've completely revamped my skincare and still adding to it. The sales associate Brittany is beyond helpful. So much knowledge of the products as well as competitive high end products. I think I swing by every time I'm at the mall and leave with something as well as a bunch of samples which has me return again since the products are so good! This is my go-to Kiehl's for all my face product needs. The customer service here is OUTSTANDING! Every time I go, the employees are super helpful, and are always willing to go the extra mile for you. I went there yesterday evening in search for a birthday present for my boss. I told one of the girls there (I was helped by Brittany), and she helped me pick out two things for her, and then proceeded to put it in a beautiful Kiehl's bag WITH tissue paper and a ribbon for me. Then, I told her I am trying to get my husband to use their products, and if she had any samples. She gave me some terrific samples and advice on how to get him to use it and the benefits of them. Maybe it's because I usually go during the weekday when the mall is pretty dead - they do tend to get very busy during the weekends. But they are so sweet and patient - THIS is my to go store. I was thrilled when I heard this location would be opening up at Del Amo Mall- a few minutes from home! I was even more excited to learn that Mariana, the previous store manager from the Manhattan Beach location would be transferring here. I haven't met her personally, but I could tell she's one heck of a leader. Back to this new location- a brand spanking new space. Beautiful store! Since I've become obsessed, Kiehl's is my go to for gift giving. Most of my family and friends have never tried their products, so I figured I'd share the happiness and treat them to something new. They have gift sets at exceptional value pricing. I am signed up for their rewards program, tons of awesome perks. I get emails frequently (but not annoyingly) that keep me updated on new products. To wrap this review up- I am only giving this location 3 stars because in terms of customer service I am not impressed. I realize that most of these associates are probably new to the brand, so they have a lot to learn-but some enthusiasm would really help offset the lack of confidence in selling your products. I used to go to the Kiehls counter at the Redondo beach nordstrom. I came to this Kiehls this past weekend since I was in dire need of eye cream and facial cleanser. I was greeted promptly and taken care of right away. The girl who assisted me was Nadia. She is awesome. Ask for her when you go! Super nice, sweet, and helpful. She helped me pick out a new eye cream and cleanser. Turns out I had been using the wrong type for my skin. She quickly helped me get back on the road to recovery. She was patient with me and made me feel very welcome and special. The atmosphere and decor in this store if off the chain. There's a bitchin Harley in there! Also, the store was very clean and all the products were in the correct places. Nothing I hate more than testers all over the damn place looking like a hot mess! I will most definitely be back to stock up on more items. Another awesome thing I saw and loved, is that when you use 10 products bring in your empty ones and receive a free travel size product. My boyfriend and I have been using the Kiehls body wash for over a year and love it, we went to purchase a replenishment at the Del Amo mall instead of buying online because I needed a face wash but didn't know what to get. We had an AMAZING experience and I wanted to share it in detail: We were greeted by Astrid when entering the store, she gave us time to look and browse. She let us know she was available if we had any questions and informed us of the promotions. After we browsed the store she engaged us with a compliment of my hair to open up the conversation. She then directed our conversation toward skincare. She asked us what we were looking for, how both of our skin is, and what we currently use, she made suggestions but was not pushy and gave us time to look. After she saw my boyfriend and I still indecisive she offered to check both our skin types and educate us on the products and which combination would be best to start with. We really enjoyed the interaction because she was extremely knowledgeable, funny and sweet. We felt comfortable opening up about our skincare habits(or lack of! Lol) and confident in her suggestions to improve it. Astrid let us know about the limited edition products for the aids proceeds program, and also about the recycling program! And she helped my boyfriend signed up for an account. I also thought it was awesome that she acknowledged both my boyfriend and I needed assistance and made sure to be equally attentive. The extent of my skincare was using whatever face wash I could find at Target. I thought that Kiehl's would be overpriced, so I never bothered. My fiancé and I went in and met Brittany, who took her time with both of us. I was impressed with how she was able to test our skin to tell us the needs that we each had. Brittany not only recommended products, but even wrote down what product to do at what time - AM & PM. She made us both feel comfortable - especially since I didn't have any makeup on - which is amazing in itself! It has been a month since we have been in the store and have been using the recommended products. First thing I noticed - within the first two weeks, is that when I'm wearing makeup - I am not as oily, and can wear lighter coverage foundation. Without makeup - I have received a ton of compliments. Words used were "fresh", "youthful", "Clear" "Blemish-free". Most importantly, I have the confidence to not wear makeup as often in public and to give my skin a treat and a much needed break. My fiancé is keeping up with his routine and the redness in his face has completely gone away and has become more hydrated. Thank you Brittany for helping us both!! Do not give these people your credit card information - but worse still - DO NOT GIVE THEM A CHECK!!! This makes me sad, because I love Kiehl's products, but seriously, buy from other sources. I went into the store, to restock on products for myself and my daughter. Between us we were buying over $500 worth of goods. When we went to pay my credit card was declined. I laughed and told the girl that something was wrong with her system, so she had me swipe the card again. I double checked my balance to verify that I hadn't been hacked, and sure enough, the charge should have gone through. I switched cards, same thing. Finally she asked me to write a check, but because Kiehl's can't take checks over $200 she asked me to write three checks. Needless to say - this was a lot of work to spend money. The next morning, I discovered that Kiehl's had charged my credit card for 4 $540.13 charges, plus a $171 charge (sales girl thought maybe if the amounts were smaller the card would go through...). There were also charges on my debit card. Essentially, I was being hit with $2500 worth of charges for cleanser and wrinkle minimizers. I went into Kiehl's that day to return the purchases (hadn't even unpacked the bag the night before) as part of straightening out the nightmare and getting my cards unfrozen (yes, both Barclay's and Union Bank saw the transactions as weird and froze my accounts - making it hard to buy groceries). The people in the Kiehl's store apologized, then said they still had all my checks, but that not only would they not give them to me, they wouldn't take back the goods. I'd have to wait for 10 days, then return the goods, then they'd mail me a check. Basically - they were going to hold on to my money for 2 to 3 weeks. I was finally so livid I called my bank, stopped payment on the checks and left the goods on the counter. I was charged $45 for the stop payments. I then went to Nordstroms and bought most of the stuff I was trying to get to begin with. Unfortunately, Nordstroms didn't have have all that I was looking. Trying to not hold a grudge, I went to the Kiehl's site to buy the other products. I assumed that the website had to be safe. Wrong. I placed the order on Sunday night, and Monday morning there were two charges on my credit card. I called Barclay's again, they said that this time there did appear to be two separate transactions so I was going to have to call Kiehl's first, if they didn't help me than Barclay's would step in. Kiehl's response: Sure, they'd cancel one transaction, I'd be refunded in less than a week, and next time, don't hit submit again. Seriously? A week? And to be told it's my fault???? Love the products, hate the people and how they do business. It takes them less than a minute to take my money, but a really long time and blame shifting when it comes to returning it. read more

My first trip in I was a bit nervous because I hadn't paid much attention to skincare products before but the staff was so friendly and inviting it made my experience so great I just keep coming back. Nadia helped me that day and was a complete godsend! She knew exactly what I needed and made some really great suggestions. My skin has improved so much since then I can hardly believe it!
