This place is a nightmare to deal with. People constantly park in your assigned parking and management either cant or won't do anything about it even though they charge $40 a month for covered spots. Additionally they force a 60 day (Washington expects 20) notice to move out, and make it very difficult to get the full details on the terms of said move out. My partner and I were also lied to by the team, who said that we still had to give a 60 day notice while on a month to month rent. This forced us to stay an extra month and get charged an extra of their hidden $200 sewar fees. Don't bother, there are nicer, cheaper, and bigger apartments within a mile. read more

I have lived there for three years and I like the leasing team and maintenance team. The leasing office, Tre is helpful and the manager team Ester and Alana try to solve your issues with efficient way. I like their management compared to previous one-not allow us to have Pods on the parking place. I think the unit inside is much quiet. We have to relocate so this is the reason. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would, but I couldn't so I give them a 1. We have never, EVER experienced such terrible customer service and the staff is just plain rude. We have had multiple issues with the management and they could never help with anything. The apartment utilities are constantly breaking, and the amenities are always broken or under maintenance, but by far the worst is that they gave my parking port away to a new resident after I have been parking and paying 50$ a month for it for over a year! I was baffled! And when I went to the office to get things figured out they said they couldn't do anything about it because they haven't updated their system. Like WHAT?! And the lady at the office was super rude and disrespectful. She was laughing. On top of that they didn't update their system and gave us an ultimatum to resign our lease for another year or pay month to month which is double the price. Overall an awful experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone, we are moving out. read more

Lived at Kielo for two years. Was the first to occupy our unit of three spacious bedrooms, a kitchen with wonderful appliances, and an actual laundry room with space to walk around. There was unfortunately only one ceiling fan and it was in the main bedroom, but there was A/C in the living room, and each bedroom had a wall heater. The living room did not have can ceiling lights like the dinning room and kitchen, so you may have to purchase a floor lamp depending on your lighting preference. Parking was not strict. You are not required to rent a carport or garage and none of the numbered spaces were assigned. Your guest can visit with ease and many residence had two or more cars without any issues. The main drawback for me was trash disposal. The complex did not have any dumpsters. Just recycling bins and one trash compactor in an inconvenient location from where my unit was. There is trash pick up from valet service you do have to pay for but they were not consistent, did not service Friday or Saturday, and limited the number of trash bags they will collect from you. Overall, I would recommend Kielo for your new home. The location is perfect, it's dog walking friendly, quiet, and the office staff were always accommodating. read more

Spoke to maintenance earlier today, they came by my apartment to address some service requests. So, updates are in order to my review made on 1/5/2021 (today is 1/6/2021): - Signage will be put up for EV charging spots, no ETA was given but it was said it's in the works. - Towing services are in the works. No ETA given. I do appreciate the follow-up from staff. But do keep in mind, I had sent the front office numerous emails about this and even discussed in-person. My gut feeling is, I don't think anyone in the front office drives an EV, so they might not see the problem with the same level of relevance as an EV driver would. Which, to be fair, I'm not saying I blame them. Before I owned an EV, I drove an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine vehicle, basically a gas car). I never thought, "don't park in an EV parking spot". Nor would I think, "oh, someone who plugged in their EV in an EV parking spot, but leaves their car parked there 2 days in a row (basically the car is well beyond done charging) might be unethical". There's even a hashtag for this on Twitter, called #EVHole (think asshole, but an EV driver). #EVHole moments have occurred at Kielo before, but based on what I learned from the maintenance manager Marty today, it sounds like the staff is aware and is working on making some relevant policy changes that benefit EV drivers in a fair and meaningful way. But that being said, it's important nonetheless to set policies around services that your business offers, in this case, EV charging amenities at Kielo. I'm happy to hear that they're moving in a forward direction regarding policies on the property. Sounds like construction has impacted them to a degree but from what I learned from the maintenance manager, this is finally coming to a finish. So that's good to hear. read more

I lived in Kielo at Grass Valley for just over 2 years and loved it. Kielo is a quiet, well managed community and the facilities were always well maintained. The management staff, Alana and Esther, were personable, excellent to work with, and kept the community in tip-top shape. Communication is key to managing a community this size and they did it well. The maintenance staff, although I don't know them by name, were excellent and responsive on the rare occasion I needed something tended too. I would still be there if I didn't buy a home in the area. I am just about to hit 2 years living here. These are the best apartments I have ever lived in (and there have been many). The quality is top notch, neighbors are fantastic , the exterior is pristine , there's a little walkway area, and a small kids park. You get top tier camas schools living here. The common area and workout room are amazing as well. The staff is friendly, and the few maintenance requests I've ever submitted they immediately tended to. I can't think of a single complaint living here. Yes it's not cheap, but that's what you sign up for when you get there it's not like they surprise you- but you definitely get what you pay for. read more

I am a resident at Kielo, and am heavily disappointed in the customer care provided by Kielo's recent management. Manager, Ester, is discriminatory in her behavior toward white moms with children. She continues to close access into the guest house and pool. We have been renting at kielo for years, and the recent behavior from management is making it impossible to enjoy what we have been enjoying for several years. We are deeply saddened by the poor management decisions subsequently made toward young families residing at kielo. We hope that our concerns will be heard by Sr management/corporate and that matters will be properly resolved. The denied access to the pool/gym/grill/amenities is not worth our expensive rental agreement. read more

THE PROS: The apartments are new, the appliances are better than basic, and the grounds are well kept. Maintenance crew is professional and prompt. Office crew is professional and helpful. The location is fairly peaceful and quiet and close to shopping and services. THE CONS: Heating and air conditioning is extremely basic and outdated. No air conditioning in the bedrooms, just an electric wall heater and a ceiling fan. No heater in the bathroom. One large in-wall heating and a/c unit in the living room that is quite noisy and sticks out into the room. Prepare to be cold in the winter and uncomfortable in the summer when sleeping, should the temperature spike. read more

We were billed for cleaning after we moved out of the apartment, despite the fact we hired people to clean it thoroughly and left it with a spotless state. We even have photo evidence and witness to prove us. However, the Company insisted on billing us, taking our security deposit and eventually sending the bill to debt collections. Please consider this fact before you decide to move in. read more

I understand why this place has terrible reviews when it comes to fees and charging you extra. They will not allow you to pay your rent until the 1st of each month. If you do pay it on the first they will hold the payment and process it on the 5th and then pull it from your account on the 5th. (Weird because that's the "grace period") you will never know if your payments will go through until it 2 late. Once it's the 5th and you see that it hasn't posted. Congratulations you just earned yourself a late payment. The front desk and Service people are great and very helpful. But the back office/management is incompetent and will not explain any additional charges they charge you. My advice to anyone moving here is select the apartments across the street. Do not move here the reviews speak the truth. read more

I would not recommend renting from this company. They lied when I moved in about my expenses, all the sudden they added on an expensive sewer charge that I was not told about when I moved in. They told me I would have my own assigned parking which they reneged on. When I went to renew my lease they said if I don't sign a lease my rent would go up to 2000 from 1700+ an extra hundred dollars a month for not signing a lease. I opted not to sign a lease and pay the additional hundred dollars a month. They have since been raising my rent every month by $100 and said that they will continue to raise it. I've never lived anywhere that raises your monthly rent on a monthly basis. I've never known anyone who's experienced this either. Also the walls are paperthin, and I can hear dogs barking constantly. read more
