Below is my opinion because of what I felt had happened at Kierstens. First time in the store the young girl was not polite in fact rude. I came in to see if her jeweler would make a ring for me. I gave her exactly what I was looking for. That should be a certain price white gold vs platinum, mm thickness, how many diamonds and quality etc. I was very exact. The rude girl asked how much did I want to spend. So what she really was asking how much money is in your wallet that I can spend and make your $500 ring with all the same stats be a $5,000 ring. I simply said what I wanted cost estimation was all. Even giving her measurements in MMs metal type diamond position and size and type down to GIA certification and how i wanted it to taper and edges rounded. No detail left unturned just how much would this ring cost. I had to beg her assistance but she was not just refusing but being rude as well finally she quickly asked the jeweler or head person but she told me I should just take time out of my busy life to reask these same questions on another day. So reluctantly I did. Head lady was expressing that she did not like my rounds and princess cut jewel designs together. The jeweler kept double talking me as if I was designing some horrible ring. Jewelers body language was confrontational (arms folded) sharp annoyed verbiage and about an hour into this still hoping he wasn't so resistant as I didn't have much time to find another jeweler but as time went on he became more confrontational and the head woman said well he has to go and finish his other jobs yet I want the one keeping him he was the one continually trying to change my design to one in their books which I didn't want otherwise I would have done that. Also I didn't say I had a budget so sky was the limit as I didn't bok at any of their pricing I just wanted to get the ball rolling. Their prices were thousands more for lesser quality diamond then some of the mall retailers and other mom and pop stores and double online retailer which is what I eventually went with and appraised for so much more! Kierstens tried to scare me by saying online stores are dangerous why? but they were not and I am buying GIA certified stone with mapping that overnight shipping and free returns and half the price why should Kierstens be rewarded for their bad behavior. While there I overheard the woman with crazy wirey perm like hair tell her son (they both looked like Andre'the giants look alikes) not to waste time with a customer unless they are going to buy something big. But there wasn't any other customers so who cares. So thats why they treated me so poorly they thought I looked poor so I probably wouldn't be spending much. I would never guess by looking at this woman and her son donning the same do to have money or a store though I did expect the Walmart type jewelry and attitudes and though I tried to see past the obnoxiousness and boring designs because I didn't want to judge a book by its cover. Their misjudgment of me cost them $20,000 cash I had to buy a ring and more. An online store and the mom and pop on the north shore didn't say anything negative about my design in fact they relished in it. So yes she and her staff really screwed themselves they made me spend over an hour and kept changing my very simple design then NEVER called as promised. So glad I went elsewhere! As it turns out 2 of my friends are getting remarried and 2 of their daughters are looking for engagement rings and bands and another ones son as well, that is 5 more well 15 rings+. Also my sister who is looking for an alexandrite her June birthstone. I was waiting for their promised call from Kierstens but she never called as promised so long ago even after my reaching out to them so I was left finding a new place. Funny how quickly she responded in yelp, too bad she didn't use that same swiftness to get and keep my business! It just proves what I am saying how quick they are to attack! In a beautiful little town called Holbrook, on Main Street is a very special Jewelry Store named Kiersten's Jewelry. 3 weeks ago, I went in with my son and had the absolute pleasure of meeting the lovely owner, her son and the Jeweler who are absolutely wonderful. My son was preparing for his Engagement and was dealing with a different jeweler who turned out to be very disappointing, we decided to go into Kiersten Jewelery and the owner went above and beyond to guide him through the entire process of taking the time to educate him on the different type of stones and was so wonderful in helping him find the most perfect setting to place his Fiance's Grandmother's stone from her Engagement Ring. The Jeweler made a special appointment with my son to set this most special family heirloom and everyone made this the most amazing experience for all of us. They say in life that God sends special people into our lives at the right moment in time and we truly feel so very blessed and thankful beyond words for everyone at Kiersten's Jewelery for being so amazing. Below is my opinion of Fai .C's review of the personnel, their knowledge and experience. I have been dealing with the owner for over 35years and I , personally have been in retail for over 40 years and sell real estate for over 15 years. It is customary to ask a customer what there budget is, " the sky is the limit" is a subjective term" and frankly a B.S.answer. As I read your scathing review, it became apparent your intent was to attempt to insult and humiliate the owner and her son by attacking their appearance... Really??? Grow up.. BTW...
