Well I believe I just found my new go to Jewelers for repairs and possibly a purchase. This establishment is located in the Patchogue King Kullen shopping center. Parking is ample. Walked in and was immediately greeted by staff. I expressed that I was only there for repair and was very pleased that they did not attempt to persuade me to purchase jewelry. I have never left a review but this is called for. bought a bracelet for my wife from them and it constantly gets loose and falls off within 24 hours. After the third time I brought it back and the owner Mike tightens it himself and by next day it falls off. So we bring it back Mike sends it out, calls us a week later and tells us there is nothing wrong as per his jeweler. He tells us this is normal and to put lock tight on the screws!!! Really so now if you put to much on, it is on for life. So now it will sit in a drawer bc this jeweler refuses to make right by us. The watches were as authentic as can be. But the real story is with the bracelet. It appraised at 2.5 times the price I paid for it. Furthermore, the appraiser was amazed at how well constructed the bracelet itself was. Each stone was impeccably set and all stones were of equal weight. Simply put, amazing quality. Mike is a thief. In December we went into his store because the diamond in my wife's engagement ring fell out of the setting and was lost. He told us he could remake the ring and it would be stronger than previously. He charged us a deposit of $3800. He told us it would take 1 month to complete. It's now August and we have gotten nothing but the run around with picking up the ring. After we gave him the old setting, we sent him numerous pictures of every angle of the original ring, he insists that he would only make it the way he wants and won't make it the way he initially promised when he took our deposit. UPDATED March 14 In response to Mike at elegant jewelers. We did speak to the Manager above Roxanne and he denied us and said he was going to reuse the platinum while knowing this was my original engraved wedding band and she was told she would get it back. Tosay that I am disappointed in the service of this establishment is a massive understatement. They lost my husband and I as customers and we would never recommend them to anyone. My husband and I wanted to enhance my wedding band as a gift. We came in with my platinum ring and Roxanne provided us with a price that they would use the diamonds in my original ring towards a new eternity ring. She specifically told us that we would get my original ring back (which was a keepsake and engraved) and that receiving the original ring back was included in the price she quoted. I wanted to take a picture of my original ring before I gave it to her and she said 'You do not need to do that, you are getting back the original ring'. She proceeded to write up the receipt for the quoted price including the words 'trade-in of the diamonds'. When my husband went to pick up the new ring, they advised that he would need to pay $400 in order to get my original ring back!! They were adamant that the price we were to pay did not include getting my original ring back. And Roxanne denied that she agreed to give the ring. I cannot believe a jewelry store that has been around this long would lie and handle business in this manner, as well as risk losing a customer and any further referrals that we previously gave or would be giving in the future.
