The bird feeder stick took me by surprise because it looks disappointing, however it was sufficient to get some of the birds to land. The dolphin/sea lion show was pretty good, I would just appreciate maybe a screen with whatever the speaker was saying, it was hard to hear in that room with the echo. Went to check out lakeside mall's playground. It was so cute! You need to reserve a slot for play…read morethough which you can sign up for online. There's a limit because they don't want to overpack the place. The slots are in 30 min increments. There are people to oversee the playground, but you can't just drop them off and leave the kids there. You still have to be present. You have to take your shoes off first and there's cubbies for you to place them in. Then my favorite part is actually the handwashing station. There's 2 circles and you just place your hands and arms in there until it turns on. You remove your hands once the machine stops and then you dry your hands with some paper towels after. There's a large soft play area for kids.There's also a Jungle gym structure for bigger kids. There's a family rest room, nursing room, and changing room. This place has it all and there's plenty of space for parents to sit and watch.

The animals are well taken care of and the staff is always fun and knowledgeable. Our tour guide (I think her name was Sonora?) was very nice and went out of her way to make sure we got to spend time with all of the animals we wanted to see. Couple of tips. First off, spring for the private or semi-private tour. You have more freedoms to roam around the park and it's definitely worth the extra cost. Second, no matter how much animal food you get, you will wish you had more. The highlight of the tour is feeding the animals and you will not want to disappoint them! Third, they have added some new attractions in the last few years that look awesome but we didn't get a chance to do them. There's a kangaroo walkabout and a capybara experience, both looked really cool. Finally, they are offering a "painting" by the animals. You add food coloring to a canvas and the animals "paint" with their mouths while they eat. It was absolutely worth it!

You have to book online and choose a time slot that was still available. We chose an early time slot to make sure they both got their naps in. We arrived and you can tell they made a ton of updates since we were last here. We checked in and was recommended to order the sack of food and so glad we did! We had 4 adults and we went through the sack pretty fast! Cody was our tour guide and he was extremely nice and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend asking for him if you're doing a private tour. To say we had an amazing time would be an understatement. Feeding and seeing giraffes, bison, deer, cows, zebras, kangaroos, peacocks, llamas and so many more was such an axing experience.
