Had the best time at this escape room! I'd visited another location in another state. This was my first time at this location. The room was super difficult. But not so difficult that you can't get through it. But definitely difficult enough that you have to use all your brains cells to get out. Hope to be back soon!! read more

My main problem with this place is it's way too easy. We did Extinction, the level 8 out of 10 today with 30 minutes to spare. We're pretty good but we're not escape room veterans or anything; this was one of our party's first time in an escape room at all. We were prepared for a couple of the puzzles to be more challenging and were surprised that some of the parts of the puzzles were just for decoration and the actual puzzle part was quite simple. There were only 3 rooms, one of which was a closet. Many of the puzzles were very similar and used the same two code translators. I think they could get much more creative with the puzzle types as well as increase the number of puzzles. There were a couple times when two of us were standing around waiting because there was only a single task at hand as opposed to multiple things for everyone to coordinate on at once. Also, a fourth room (with more decor/objects to search for) would go a long way. The hint took a while and the gamemaster did not know what we were doing at the time we asked for a hint and asked us to read him one of the clues/tell him what was the last thing we did so that he could figure it out. It seems like they may have had only one staff member for multiple game rooms which may have caused this problem, as well as the issue that there was nobody to greet us when we finished. Some fanfare would be nice. The escape was anticlimactic; didn't feel like we earned it and on top of that there was nothing to indicate that we won except that we wandered into the lobby. Then just a "wow that was quick." Could be nice to see our name on a leaderboard in the lobby, some confetti, a congratulatory video, something to hype us up about our win. Probably won't be going back because I don't believe that the 10/10 difficulty will be hard enough. However I still gave 3 stars because the staff member was kind, the equipment was in good enough shape, the lobby was nice, and I still had a fun time with my friends. read more

What a great time with the kids for our little one's 17th birthday! It's so much fun to pit your brain against all of the puzzle's in the various rooms. We did the extinction room and found it pretty challenging, but I highly recommend it. The staff was great and the place was neat and clean and really comfortable to hang out in while we waited our turn at the room. Second visit here and can't wait to go back! read more

This was my second escape room at this location. We had a blast! There are at least 5 escape rooms to chose from. They now offer a virtual reality escape room! There are lockers located in the front to store your personal belongings. You can also grab a complimentary bottle of water. Before you enter the escape room, there is a video to watch. Each room takes about 45 minutes to one hour to complete. There is a game master for each room. You can have up to 3 clues if needed to move on. The staff was friendly and helpful. read more

If you're a fan of escape rooms, Escapology should be on your list. If you would have gone down a list of things I thought I'd be reviewing this would not have been on the list. I never liked the idea of being locked in a room it's a bunch of strangers trying to solve a fake mystery. If I'm getting locked in a room, I'm busting my way out and taking revenge on the person or people who locked me in. So why on earth am I writing a review if this place? Because kids. That's why. My oldest decided that for her birthday she wanted to have an escape room party. I offered to lock her in her room until she was 21. She didn't find me funny at all. So I booked Escapology. Parties aren't cheap, but the kid party scene is super expensive. What I didn't realize when I booked it is that I would be the adult chaperone locked in a room with a bunch of teens. There are several themed escape rooms. My kid picked a defuse the bomb on a train theme. The room was well designed and laid out. Clues were hard to come by and did require lots of thought and reason. They picked the wrong dude with those being the requirements. Luckily the team was able to call for clues when they got stumped and the staff was helpful without giving away too much. In the end they crew solved the mystery and defused the bomb with only seconds to spare. My kid had an amazing time and couldn't of been more happy. Even I had fun watching them run around screaming trying to find the clues. Does this translate into me wanting to become an escape room aficionado? Negative. I'd probably go with a group of people I knew already if I was forced. But no way am I getting locked in a room with strangers and not wanting to bust down the door or cause other mayhem. Note: There is no private party room. If you book a party your group will have an area in the waiting room. This was not an issue, but should be mentioned if you require private space. read more

It was our family's first time trying an escape room. There were 10 of us, ages 15 to 60. This was a last minute idea, and we chose one of the more difficult games which has a success rate of only 20%. The result... we won (beat) the game and had SO much fun. We were all still talking about it the entire next day and can't wait to go back. Would DEFINITELY recommend taking your family to play one of their challenges. read more

My son had his 13th birthday party here and it was so so much fun! Everyone was so nice and the kiddos had an awesome time!!

Who would have thought that 6 engineers from top universities could be beaten down so bad! It takes a special person to crunch numbers and calculate crazy phenomena's that occur in this world, but let's just say we will leave detective work to the FBI! OMG!!!!! This was my first time at an Escape Room and I am SO happy that it was Escapology! My group just so happened to pick the hardest room and eventhough it came down to the wire... literally 3 seconds left, we manage to save the world! The owners were simply AMAZING and made the entire experience so fun and exciting that we actually stayed and played another room! Heck we probably would have played every room had they let us! Super, super, super fun!!!! A must do on ANY day of the week!! I think it's safe to say I'm addicted! read more

I'm going to give this place 4 stars because of the lady that greeted us at the beginning of it. She just walked up to us asked for the name on the reservation then took us back to the door and put us in the room. Without explaining anything else. She seem like she had the personality of a bag of rocks. Didn't look interested in any part of her job. The room itself was set up very well. We had a lot of fun in the room and we did end up escaping. When we got out of the room we were greeted by another employee that was much nicer than the first one. So I'm really kind of borderline on a 4 to 5 star rating for this one. Overall I would recommend this place because it was fun and we want to do another room while we were there but we didn't have time. read more

We did this on a whim for my son's 11th birthday. It was the first day for "The Code" game. There were four in our party. Two adults and two teens. We had a blast. Only one of the teens had ever did an escape game before. We did not know what to expect. We were the first to finish "The Code" game with 16 seconds to spare! The owner was outside the door to greet us and congratulate us. He was so excited! He said that they were all watching us play the game on the monitors and rooting for us to finish it! Had a blast playing assassination express!! Definitely the best escape room on the northshore!!! The clues weren't too hard. The staff were very nice and helpful. Clean facility, nothing broken in the game rooms. There is tons of seating in the waiting area. They provide lockers for anything you don't want to forget in the rooms.
