Sometimes you have a small group of littles and they somehow are fueled by the laughter of other kids and seem to possess unlimited energy. We camp closest to the beach. There is no shade there. We bring our own but at night, the stars are like street lights. It's beautiful. The moon at times feels like you could grab it. The ocean will put you to sleep like a Dr.s prescription. It's amazing. All the bathrooms get used a lot because of the amount of people who stay here but they are constantly being cleaned. The showers are a little strange to me but good. Don't try to park an extra vehicle on your spot even if only unloading. The parking is terrible BUT way down the road, on the "Day Use Area" is plenty of parking. Ya, we all hate parking in the D.U.A. They hold cultural events in the D.U.A. We've seen some awesome Native American dancers. They looked super cool. The beach access is at either end of the dune. The beach is clean and the waves aren't that vicious. The shore is nice and shallow. Low tide brings a whole different look to the area with smooth rock surfaces and cobblestones. Pros: *relatively quiet, mannerly camp guests. *attractive campground and camp sites *easily available facilities + water, dump, garbage, etc *showers are free and hot water is running *plenty of walking and cycling paths *all kinds of camping from backpackers to horses to yurts Cons: *electricity in the yurts is a touch wonky *bathrooms don't necessarily seem clean as much as they seem "rinsed off" periodically; yet relatively free of unpleasantness *women's bathroom stalls ridiculously tiny Set between Seaside and Tillamook, it's a great base from which to set off exploring. Yurts could not be called "luxurious" yet they are cozy and have all the basics met. A few yurts are pet friendly.

We called over 72 hours in advance buy got a machine and proceeded to leave three messages throughout day that we would like to cancel. All calls were not returned that day. The next day was within 48 hours and again we had to call. The manager named Craig said he didn't care what we were told he's charging our credit card for a nights stay cuz he's the manager. He was very rude, short, and obviously on his own little trailer park power trip. I will dispute charge with my credit card company. Most unprofessional individual operating a camp spot I have ever experienced at the wonderful Oregon Coast so avoid this place at all cost.

Private beach to fish from on two great fishing holes, lots of fish caught!!! The new park is amazing!! The best part, Kellie, the manager, most kind, helpful, hospitable, and friendly. She works hard to make sure your visit is tops. The park is super clean, bathrooms r immaculate, spaces r awesome, and it's is super quiet. The location is perfect. Salmon fishing in the morning and 8 minutes away, Happy Camp at Netarts Bay for either shore or in the bay crabbing, caught so many of them we had to take a break! We stayed for 2 months and in all that time, Kellie made sure our stay was awesome, the maintenance of the park was always maintained, and it was always quiet and fun!!

Let me start with the good: The campsites tend to be…read moregenerous when compared to many campsites at Oregon State and Federal campgrounds in OR with regard to size of campsite, although some barely have room for a single tent when they are advertised to accommodate two. The campsites also tend to be flat and kept clean. The campgrounds also offer great access to a long and wide beach, whose access has multiple points of entry at the western edge of the campground. The beach is fairly isolated so it provides great solitude and an opportunity for a long beach walk with calm seas. The campsite is also well located to provide access to the Tillamook and Cape Lookout area to the south and Oswald SP and Cannon Beach area to the north. Now the bad: For a campsite with well over 200 campsites and rv sites (which translates into probably more then 500 guests when full), the number of shower stalls available is woefully inadequate : I believe 12. When I have stayed at the campsite, there has been a line waiting outside of the shower stalls, which means waiting outside in an uncovered area, to use them - this is something that is inexcusable and shows a tremendous lack of concern for a woefully inadequate level of providing a fundamental service the campground says they provide. My other beef the campground can do nothing about: all night long a bouy toots a horn about every ten seconds to warn wayfairers of land proximity - this horns intrusion on one's sleep and the tranquility of the camping experience as one's campsite is located closer to the beach. However, the horn is heard throughout the campground. In summary, I find many other campsites more desirable along the Oregon Coast, but this one suffices as long as you are a heavy sleeper and do not mind not showering or waiting to do the same,

I love that they continue to expand services - if you rent their boats, they will help you clean your catch and boil the crabs. The cafe is awesome! Great beverages and baked goods. Now they offer trash pick up service twice a day. The property is older, but I see the continuous efforts to upgrade and improve where they can. The fellow guests are always helpful and friendly. And pet friendly too. We like it here.

The menu prices were reasonable and displayed right at the ordering/cooking station. You tell them what you want and then you take the metal plaque inside to pay. We got 1 Dungeness crab (cleaned), 1 lb of clams, and 1 dozen oysters all steamed to try. Please do note all the accompaniments were sold separately such as butter, garlic, cocktail sauce, and lemons. They also had a microwave station for you to melt the butter along with all the tools you'll need for your yummy tray of fresh seafood. Eating crab is a labor of love but it was totally worth it! The crab meat was juicy and sweet, while the clams and oysters were briny and salty. If you want raw oysters you have to shuck them yourself due to cross contamination prevention. But the steamed oysters were actually so good too! Service was quick and friendly with everyone working hard cleaning, steaming, and dishing out orders. It's nice to have the hand washing stations and bathroom close to rinse off the stickiness from our seafood feast. Definitely recommend coming here to get your fresh seafood on if you are in the Rockaway Beach area!

The parking is tucked back beyond the campground so it's not something folks just see from the road, which is nice because it can keep the casual drive-by visitors down and less-crowded. They have one restroom facility near the parking pay station, too. We've always visited on cooler days in the 60's, so I'm not sure how busy they get when it's actually warmer on the coast, but it's been a good spot for us to stop and have a little beachside picnic and walk along the coast for an hour or two.
