There was a mini fridge, coffee maker and tv w/dvd player, as well as soaps and plenty of extra clean towels. They are totally contactless, and we did text back & were responded to. They have a dvd "closet" that you use a code to get into. I'm really not sure if the tv works otherwise. It was quiet, we never heard anyone else. There is a cute market a block away & a couple restaurants just a bit further. View outside the room was good, we weren't on the side with the uninterrupted view. No biggie we didn't sit around in the room anyway. Overall great experience and would recommend if you're staying in the area. There was not a blow dryer, that's the only thing I could've used that wasn't available.

There was hair inside the toilet when we arrived, with pieces of the same hair on the bathtub and on the towel above the toilet. Pink mold residue above the shower and everything overall rundown. The tables and furniture were also sticky. At $260 a night, this was extremely disappointing and absolutely not worth the price. Compared to the photos advertised on Google, the actual room was nothing like what we expected. We paid for what was advertised, and that's not what we received. We had to leave immediately. extremely disappointing and health hazard.

If spending time by the ocean and visiting the various sites around the Oceanside/Netarts/Tillamook…read moreregion is your priority, you could do much worse than booking a cabin at Oceanside Ocean Front Cabins. We've stayed here twice and enjoyed both of our visits. The cabins are small, clean, rustic. Bed, bathroom, microwave, small refrigerator. Decent enough wifi. Plenty of parking space. What else do you need? The cabins are reasonably priced and couldn't be closer to the ocean, and the manager, Joe, is kind and helpful and willing to go out of his way to make sure your stay at the cabins goes well. Dogs are welcome. We'll stay here again. Great beach, by the way. One of the nicest on the Oregon Coast.

Front steps with staples and nails protruding (we're at the beach; people go barefoot!). A "kitchenette" that was a cheap coffee maker and little else. Water that trickles from the showerhead and runs short of hot pretty quickly. I've slept in more spacious and comfortable tents. No soap. Some people put lodging together in ways that show you they've thought about your comfort. Other people send the message that they don't care about you at all. This place cares less about you than not caring at all. They must actively loathe guests.

I actually loved that my phone couldn't be called here '-) AND that they have a landline should you really need free of charge. I don't know why this little beachside gem isn't in more findable here online - but snap it up if you see it in a listing here in Oceanside! They really book it out (which tells you the cool little place to stay it is.) I am crazy about cabins and the title says it all - knotty pine walls and it has that vintage cabin feel. Pluses - well, the sunsets from here! The owners seemed to have appointed it well even providing plenty of nice seasoned wood for the fireplace, pretty much everything you'd need in kitchen and this seems like a great place for families to stay with the bunk beds for the kids. It's also pet friendly - how cool is that? But one of the biggest pluses, besides the sound of the ocean from your window and a lovely little deck full of sun on a shiny day :) are the BEDS! Oh my gosh - incredible memory foam mattress topper and really soft high count thread sheets. You don't always get that in a vacation rental. That one there earned them the 5 stars along with the most unique "Treehouse" with stunning views. We will be back!

Spent a good part of the day up there reading, with a glass of wine (Okay, a bottle. Who we kidding?). The sunset view is perfect. It sleeps 6 or more I guess. Two Queen beds, a pair of full sized bunk beds, all with real nice mattress toppers. And a super comfy couch, too. The garage is stocked with all the beach paraphernalia you could need including boogie boards, beach chairs and a coupla dozen wetsuits, including YOUR size! The beach is an easy two or three block walk (walking back is uphill). It's GameNight ready. Dozens of games await (Scrabble, Risk, Cards Against Humanity, puzzles, etc). Oceanside is a quiet little town (village? burg?) The Blue Agate (for breakfast and Rosanna's for lunch and dinner are both within walking distance and both real good. Looks like it tends to be booked pretty solid, but if you can squeeze in a couple of days during the week, more power to you.

I liked how they offered lots of little branded aneminites such as shower packs, kitchen packs and hot tub cleaner. The only thing that I didn't care for was the very strict check in/check out times. Check in is at 4 and you get access by text only. Check out is promptly 10 AM! That seems extremely early especially for the prices you are paying. I asked for either an early check in or late check out and was denied which is fine but if checkout were a little later it would've been extremely helpful.

We reserved this property through Airbnb, but unfortunately, the stay was very disappointing and…read moredid not live up to the listing. The home was not well maintained or adequately cleaned. There was hair in the bed, stains on the sheets and comforter, visibly dirty floors, stained rugs, and a kitchen sink that drained very slowly. We were told laundry detergent would be provided, but there were no pods available. The home also lacked basic cleaning supplies, which was especially concerning given its condition when we arrived. The BBQ was clearly not properly cleaned or maintained. It had so much buildup that it caught fire inside and produced enough smoke to set off the home's fire alarms. The dryer also took an extremely long time to dry clothes. The hot tub was another major disappointment. We contacted the property in advance because of concerns in previous reviews, including reports of bacterial infections, yet it was still disgusting and had a strong fishy smell when we arrived. Someone was sent to "clean" it, but the solution appeared to be little more than adding chemicals. We still did not feel comfortable using it, and it did not appear to be thoroughly drained and cleaned between guests. The game room and kids' areas were also poorly maintained. Games had broken nets, missing pieces, or were falling apart, and some children's chairs were broken and unsafe. Several remotes either didn't work, had dead batteries, or were missing, and promised replacements never arrived. The listing also significantly understates the walk to the beach. It is definitely longer than a two-minute walk and includes a substantial hill--important information for anyone traveling with young children or elderly family members. We were also disappointed by the lack of flexibility with early check-in. Even 30 minutes early would have been helpful, and there did not seem to be a meaningful reason it could not be accommodated. Ultimately, you are paying a premium primarily for the view, but the home itself is not worth the price. It needs better cleaning, maintenance, and basic upkeep. We left feeling that the listing overstated the property and that a major advertised amenity--the hot tub--was unusable. I would strongly recommend saving your money and booking with a private host or smaller rental company that may provide better hospitality and take better care of the property.

We rented Staring Contest, a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a gorgeous ocean view of the Three Arch Rocks. Sunsets are stunning from the deck off the livingroom and kitchen. The house was well equipped. Appliances, that we used, worked properly. The linens, towels and bedding, were nice and plush. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The house floorplan was convenient...most everything needed was on the main floor. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood on a dead end culdesac. The driveway up to the house is very steep! Might try to take a picture as there aren't any with the house photos on the Shore Thing website. Thankful we didn't bring our low profile car as we would have had to park it at the bottom of the driveway and haul everything up to the house. A few issues, but nothing that ruined our trip or needed to be addressed during our stay, are: Stairs up to front door are very noisy and slippery when wet, shower curtain in main bath could use a curved curtain rod so shower curtain doesn't touch you while showering, the main bath shower head could use an extension as it's pretty low for anyone over 5'5", the chair in the livingroom (not peeling leather) is missing some screws and very rickety when sitting (didn't end up needing to use it, used the peeling chair and couch instead), since there aren't curtains on the sliding glass door windows it can get pretty hot in the house (no A/C) so a box fan or oscillating fan would be nice to have on hand, one bedroom only has a lamp on one side of bed so could use another lamp, would be nice to have a wall mounted TV in one of the queen bedrooms on the main floor, and there's no exhaust fan in the downstairs bathroom. The house does have some minor TLC issues (i.e. cracked/loose tiles on main bath floor, needed paint touch-ups, some added screws on squeeky stairs and deck boards in front of house). Overall we had a nice, relaxing week stay. None of the above items would prevent us from staying here again. Since we've rented multiple houses, detailed feedback has always been welcomed and appreciated. Would recommend.

Unfortunately, like a lot of weddings this Spring, it was cancelled due to COVID-19 and travel concerns of guests travelling from around the country. The owner, Monica, responded by fully refunding our trip and went above and beyond by offering a 10% discount for our future booking - what customer service! I was shocked by the kind gesture and overall attitude of the owner, who responded with compassion and understanding during a global pandemic. I'm dealing with another VRBO property manager who refuses to refund our accommodations in any manner (for the Bachelorette) and am shocked at how starkly different the same situation can be. We can't wait to rebook our vacation rental with Monica at Shore Thing Vacation Rentals this fall. Thank you!
