8ish on a hot July Friday night. This was the third spot that we stopped at to try and get immediate seating. They were practically empty which should have been a warning. We're from out of town, so who knew. They have outside seating which is a plus. Drinks came quickly. Nice beer menu! We ordered the fish and chips and corned beef with cabbage. The fish was hot, crispy, nicely breaded and excellent. Fries were average. The corned beef was served with grilled cabbage, carrots and mashed potatoes. The beef was tender and flavorful. The carrots just done and sweet. The potatoes are the worst mashed potatoes we've experienced in our lifetime. Dry, tasteless and I'm assuming made without the addition of butter, cream, salt or pepper. Sorry, this resulted in a star loss. They really were inedible. Our waitress was inattentive. I liked the food on the first try! The patty melt had great flavor and I really liked the special sauce that's on it. The wedge salad my mother-in-law had was HUGE - nice to see since so many wedge salads are TINY. The atmosphere seemed miles apart from the previous bar that was located here - so that is a good sign. Will try again! read more

Went there for lunch with a couple of co-workers. None of us had been since they reopened under the new ownership/name. Very friendly staff and good service. The room seemed brighter and cleaner. I ordered a 1/3" Cheeseburger and asked if I could sub the American Cheese for Bleu Cheese. Was told yes - mentioned nothing of an upcharge ($2.00 more on my check). The burger was the size of a hockey puck, with a regular sized bun. No lettuce/tomato/onion. Fries were decent. They advertised a "Guinness Cupcake"... our server hadn't tried it, but one of the bartenders yelled over that it was really good. We ordered a couple... unfortunately, they were dry, the frosting was cold, and not very flavorful. This location has a huge potential.... it's in a prime spot in downtown Marquette. Based on my experience today, I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Wish I could rate this higher. I didn't mention the dry cupcake or the cheese upcharge to the server. We were running short on time. They may have been willing to adjust the bill, just didn't have time to find out. read more

Their shepard pie reminds me of my aunt's and is very filling. Their Guinness stew is also perfect comfort food for a gloomy day. Service is excellent and the atmosphere (before COVID19) is worth stopping in for. read more

Waited 40 minutes to get a table to then be informed they were all out of beef. Apparently this happens on Wednesday's and wish we would have been informed before we waited to be sat down. Can't comment about the food as we went somewhere else. read more

I'm Irish so I was really hyped when I heard an Irish Pub was opening up that was also serving Irish favorites! The guiness blonde was great and the guiness stew was also amazing.. meat and vegetables with a great stew sauce piled high on a mountain of mashed potatoes. It also comes with a corn muffin which was sweet and warm.. I'm only giving a bad rating because the last couple times I have returned something changed.. the staff was rude and the food was cold and honestly even tasted old.. not sure what happened but I wont be going back sadly. read more

Went one evening for a pint before dinner, everyone so nice and friendly, we decided to go there for dinner the next evening. My husband had the fish and chips and said they were great. My daughter and I shared an Irish dip and onion rings. We were not disappointed. The lamb was tender and had a good bun to meat ratio. Onion rings were also very good. For dessert we shared a Guinness cupcake and loved the rich chocolate flavor and cream cheese frosting. The bar manager is a charming young woman who really enjoys her work. read more

I was in town for a weekend and wandered in here for lunch. The owner was bartending, and he was super hospitable and kind. Food was awesome and drinks were reasonably priced. I personally don't dine out often, so I appreciate having an overall experience when I do, and Kildare exceeded expectations! Next time I'm in Marquette, I'll definitely be back. Food was okay, dry chicken and burger. Hand full at best of fries or about 5-6 onion rings with meal. The last had potential to be great if they added the Jamison BBQ sauce as advertised. Service wasn't great but as most places being understaffed that's not what I'd rate them on. No music playing (oddly quiet) read more

Went to the Kildare for lunch on April 3, 2019 and it was very good. I had the shepherd's pie and my husband had the beef stew. Both were delicious. Our server was very friendly and our food was served quickly. Will definitely go back and we are planning on taking friends with us when they visit this summer. The owner greeted and seated! Montana, our waitress, brought us Guinness and delicious food. The four of us had the Irish Nachos, a huge Reuben sandwich, fish and chips and a fresh Kildare signature salad. Fun, traditional Irish pub atmosphere, great food and great service!
