One of the best shops to pick up some Irish Design. The Kilkenny store on Nassau Street is a veritable treasure trove of Irish design with everything from soaps to food to clothes and Jewelry. They have a fantastic range of Irish Pottery with something to fit every budget. The shop itself is beautiful and is a perfect show case of the best that Irish craft has to offer. I particularly love the shop at this time of year (Christmas) when the shop really comes alive. They have stunning Christmas decorations, food, beautiful candles, clothes, tableware and my favourite the Newbridge silverware Christmas collection. I treat myself every year on one of these timeless silver decorations for my tree. They have a hilarious range of little signs and gift tags this year with messages like " Santa . . .sound fella so he is" and gift tags that read "Janey Mac you're fierce hard to buy for" Although it's never cheap I really feel here you get such amazing quality that has been handmade by Irish Crafts people and that in my opinion should not come cheap. The shop is a family run business for over 50 years and is a fantastic employer not just through their 11 outlets but by supporting so many small Irish crafts people. #DublinShopsLocal

Beautiful upscale shop with a little bit of everything Irish - Wool items, clothing, jewelry, art, perfume and pottery. Many one of a kind pieces as well as a few souvenirs items. The staff is very friendly. They also carry a nice variety of my Irish perfume "Inis". The café upstairs is delightful !

Kilkenny is a decorative arts and crafts shop that most mothers would love. On Nassau Street, it takes up a large chunk of the block. There is so much stuff inside which is mainly geared towards tourists. You can find anything that Ireland is known for here, such as Waterford crystal, Nicholas Mosse pottery and Irish lace and linen. Although I like the look of their merchandise, I can't help but feel that the prices are inflated. I would suggest shopping around in smaller places before spending all your money here.

This is a quality shop showcasing the best of Irish goods and crafts from rising stars. Upstairs is the restaurant and café, a gathering place for locals and those who are visiting. Excellent pastries, friendly staff, and very casual, homey atmosphere. The cakes and scones are house-made fresh daily and so delicious. My daughter, her husband, and I re-connected with my Irish pen pal from childhood as well as my first-grade teacher and her 4th-grade teacher. Such fun! We didn't have time to shop but the Irish crafts were lovely. On Nassau Street, this a place that you must stop when in Dublin., even if it's for a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

The Kilkenny Shop on Nassau Street is not really a shop to browse in unless you're looking for a relatively expensive gift for a special occasion. The shop displays an array of pottery, crystal, clothing, accessories, glass, ceramics, textiles, furnishings and lighting by Irish designers. Although some of the pieces are very traditional and stocked with Kilkenny's mainly tourist clientele in mind, the shop also offers a number of contemporary Celtic designs and artistic pottery pieces. I found a beautiful ceramic bowl to give as a wedding present to a friend and young bride-to-be. If you are looking for an Irish gift, be it kitsch or contemporary, you will probably find it in here. It's the place to go if you are going abroad and you need to be armed with some distinctly Irish presents. It is pricey but if you browse around, you might find something special for €40-€80.

Your mam loves Kilkenny Design. It really doesn't matter who you are or where you're from, I know that your mam loves Kilkenny Design. If it wasn't so expensive this would be where I'd end up frantic and panicked at 6pm every single mothers day. And mammies, please, take pity on your 8 year old sons as you drag them around the linen section. At least have the decency to buy them off with an ice cream or something. I know because it happened to me, and it sucked.

Kilkenny sells a ton and a half of luxurious gifts from Irish designers. Textiles, crystal, apparel, bags, jewelry and more line the shelves in this large shop. I found the pottery to be especially beautiful, and it would make a great gift because it's more affordable (though nothing here is really affordable) and cooler than crystal and much more unique. They also have a great selection of the latest bags and wallets from famous and popular Irish designer Orla Kiely.

We came here for shopping. It's wonderful that everything sold here is made in Ireland by artisans. We bought cologne, perfume, a hat, a necklace and some art. I wish we had purchased one of the wool blankets and hand painted bakeware pans but we didn't have space in our luggage or carry ons. Due to the holiday season and location, the store was packed but completely worth it. We were there much longer than we planned so we popped upstairs to the cafe and were quite surprised with how wonderful their food is. I would definitely suggest eating here. My husband and I shared the roast pepper and sausage frittata and the roast with mash and veg. It was delicious and after a long day of walking the perfect late lunch/early dinner.

Product quality is okay, however customer service is way below average. I recommend against shopping there.

Excellent experience both in their shop on Nassau Street (in Dublin, Ireland) and online…read more We visited them at their Dublin City Centre location last summer and were given excellent service. They patiently showed my wife many options and helped her select the necklace and earrings she wanted. They even showed me how to claim my VAT back, which saved us a pretty penny! Months later, the missus wanted a ring to complement her set, so she went online to their website and found a few options she liked, and I purchased one a few days later (some styles and sizes were not available). This was another seamless experience. Her ring arrived yesterday - it not only fits her perfectly, it is high quality and arrived in less than a week, shipped from Galway, Ireland. Thank you, Claddagh Jewellers, for all that you've done for us. We will return.

I had an unpleasant and covertly rude experience at this location in November 2022. It was my last…read moreday in Ireland, and I wanted to buy Claddagh rings for my family, so I came alone to Claddagh Jewelers due to their legacy and reputation. My issue was not with the jewelry itself but with the two young female attendants that I asked for assistance. I was very obviously American and a tourist since I told them I was from California. I told them I was looking for 14k jewelry pieces, but they told me that they only carried up to 10k. They then proceeded to speak to each other in front of me that I "must be looking for gaudy jewelry." I can say for a fact that nothing I was wearing was showy, bright, or tacky, so I deduced that I was instantly being pigeonholed into the "American tourist" stereotype. I left and went to R&C McCormack instead, where the customer service and jewelry were much better.
