It kept the bugs out but not the rain. Because we have a lot of "stuff" out there, we were forced to bring it in every time it rained. That got old very quickly so I started to research other options and found automatic hurricane screens that raised and lowered the screens with a button on a remote. Who knew? We called around for estimates because I was clueless about the cost. Scott, with HS Shade Solutions, was the first to respond to my request for an estimate. He came out to our house along with a large 3-ring binder containing samples of the different types of material. Our priority was to keep rain out of the patio and, secondarily, hurricane damage. We ended up picking out one that fit our needs. We accepted the price, paid the deposit, and Scott told us it would be 2-3 weeks to get the material (not a problem). The screening is made according to Scott's measurements of the patio. Three weeks turned into two weeks, and we set the date to install the system. To describe Scott's attention to detail and work ethic, I can only use the word "superlative." Everything works smoothly, and it's really great to push a button on one of the two provided remotes. We've been having rainstorms every afternoon, with some driven by high winds, and the patio is dry. My life is complete, and so is this review! A final word: if you're looking for an automatic screening system and a huge selection of material to choose from, make a call to HS Shade Solutions. They'll take good care of you.

My doors were old and one of them was literally falling off. They came very quickly, measured and installed the new doors within a time frame that was much quicker than I expected. They showed up each time exactly when they said they would.
