Walk around to the side of the building to enter*** This place was unique, decorated on every surface. Netting, shells, fishing floats all over the ceiling. Antiques all around, there was a trunk for a table in the area we sat at, then they opened a curtain to another room for overflow. We sat at a large table for our group that ventured over for the night. Great ambiance, I can't speak to the service because I didn't go up to the bar to order. We loved the live music and the experience we had with our friends that night.

The two guys between the counter gave great recommendations and we had a fun conversation while I was there. Freeney's has an extensive whiskey collection and the prices are reasonable. Right in the Latin quarter in Galway, this is a quiet oasis to have a drink and meet the locals. I went to many of the whiskey bars on the Galway Whiskey Trail, and this was by far one of my favorites due to the kind staff and the whiskey collection.
