    Lunch special
    Alexis C.

When we walked into the very bright colorful beautiful building, we were greeted by a host that told us we could sit wherever we'd like the place itself is a little darker lit, but very spacious. The lighting is more like a lounge and relaxing atmosphere. When we arrived, it was around lunchtime so we got to enjoy the lunch special and the prices are very good. The food came out very hot and fresh, also the soup was delicious. I'd highly recommend going here. There's also a neat bar in the back.

Vegetable chow mein. I think those were the noodles that we were supposed to add to the noodle-less chow mein?

This is probably the "okayest"Chinese food that I've had. We ordered the vegetable chow mein, pork fried rice, barbecued pork, and the tofu vegetables. The tofu vegetables were really good! The vegetable chow mein was lacking the fabulous noodles that make chow mein, chow mein! They do provide some fat crisp noodles to add but they didn't work for us. Chinese food is usually fabulous left over. Kim Bowl's, not so much. It was a congealed mess. See photos. So the highlights were the tofu vegetable and the hot mustard that they provide with your order.

Best Chinese food in town , always good. Favorites are the triple crown, green bean combination and snow pea pod combination.

Nice staff, clean space - the food tastes precooked. Used to be made in the kitchen and very flavorful- those days are over.

This has been one of my favorite local restaurants to visit for appx 8 years, mostly due to not…read moreusing MSG in their food. Admittedly though, it has been a while since I was in last. Their food was good for most part, but I definitely noticed some changes: the pork fried rice was a bit on the dry side & sadly, the hot & sour soup was mild- hot only by temperature & not sour at all. The sweet & sour chicken was good, with the breading being of light & crunchy texture with good flavor & the chicken within being all white chicken! I asked for a side of additional sauce, as the sauce on the chicken served flows to the bottom & is hard to get to for dipping. My Kung Pao included some chunks of fresh zucchini & good sized chunks of dark meat chicken along with just the right amount of large peanuts in a brown sauce, but too mild & lacking of spice (peppers type) heat. The fried shrimp was very good & I appreciated the allowed substitution. The complimentary tea was also greatly appreciated. There was plenty of food served, allowing for left overs. Service was excellent as is customary there! The ambiance is comfortable & hasn't changed thru the years of which I've been dining there. If a food item is listed as spicy on the menu, it should be as such in my opinion, therefore I'm really wanting to give 3.5 stars, as the food has become much more milder than what I've ever tasted before, sadly.

What i got was soggy fat noddles that had no taste and a horrible texture piled at the bottom of the toppings. I went back in after wanting to eat some while in my car before leaving to enjoy it with my friend and grandmother to explain their mistake, and the first woman did not speak english and disappeared into the back. Out popped an irritated older woman whom I showed what I ordered on my phone and told her verbally, and she told me she gave me what I ordered. I showed her these are not Chow Mein noodles, and I don't understand how that could possibly be what I had ordered. It wasn't, she just didn't want to deal with it. She just disappeared into the back after telling me no refund and refusing to listen to my fair explanation. Had to go to safeway and make Chow Mein noodles myself, took 20 minutes just to find the box in the isles. Long story short, I'm never buying from here again and I suggest you don't either. (Also know few people who've gotten food poisoning from here, but I haven't)
