We went around noon on a Saturday, luckily were able to find a spot to sit. This restaurant is very small and narrow, there are about 20 seated places, most of them at the bar. Better to grab and go as the atmosphere is noisy and cramped. We tried the "tit double" double cheeseburger, the chili burger, patty melt and sides of chili fries and "cantine" fries which had queso and big mac style sauce. Food is delicious, greasy, salty, well seasoned and fresh, fast to order and receive. The "tit" short for "petit" (small) double cheeseburger was definitely on the smaller side, for around $8.75 a decent price, but I was expecting something kind of monstrous and decadent by the photos. The burger is smaller than it looks compared to similar places. The fries are perfect for sharing. I noticed in Google reviews some people mentioned the fries were overdone, kind of burnt or crispy. I did notice this as well, however perhaps this is done for a reason. As most of their french fry dishes are covered in sauces, like poutine, chili, or queso, a slighter firmer crisper fry will hold its shape better and won't result in a soggy mess. Ideal for take out as you can still enjoy the texture of the potato minutes later. I would come back to try some of their other smash burgers but taking a star away for the location and comfort factor. There is only street parking, and such limited seating that you can't come in large groups or truly enjoy a sit down experience.

Recently I visited this Harvey's because I have coupons for it. I used to hate going to Harvey's, subways, or any fast food where they ask what you want in your sandwich, having variety and able to be selective are good thing, but I just wanted the fast food. Additionally, going to this restaurant in Quebec is not as easy for me as my French is not as good. I have always drive past this place many times in years but never interested in coming. But I'm glad I did. The place is clean, employees whom took my order are very friendly and polite whom also serve in English without hint of impatient. AND the beef burger is awesome!!!! Huge Difference between the pattie being cook in the stove vs microwave. I really liked this place compare to other fast food chain restaurant. I tried the chicken burger, it actually took longer to make compare to the beef one and I had the spicy chicken, I found it too spicy for me. I had poutine as well, it's a bit toward the salty side. But Harvey's is know for the beef I believe, the other is just extra to me.

Perhaps all poutine is like this, but the cheese was quite rubbery. I wasn't sure if it was real cheese. The gravy had good flavor, but I couldn't get passed the weird texture of the cheese. We tried one of their smashburgers and a poutine which featured cheese curds, as well as cheddar cheese, green onions and sour cream. The food was delicious but my only complaint is the very small portion size and high price. The burger by itself is over $10 and is super thin - I understand the concept of smash burgers but was surprised it did not come with fries or a drink for that price. The poutine I chose was a "regular" size but felt like a small. The food is also packaged in these cardboard take out boxes which are not lined or waxed so unfortunately most of the sauce absorbs through the paper. There are lots of different container options such as alimunium or waxed cardboard that can be used which would be a more ideal choice especially for poutine. This is just bad planning.

They are multiplying like rabbits these days. The inside of it is nothing to be desired but they make a tasty sandwich plus fries. When I first came here I wasn't sure what to expect. Sandwiches are huge. Fries are thin and crispy. I have gravitated to the rouge as its their rendition of tandoori chicken with mayo, cheese and in their special bun. They offer you a big selection of their mayo based sauces. You can even buy some to take home. I went with the spicy. It's a big meal and would be great after bar food. Or post hangover recovery medicine after a serious bender the night before.
