Small little cozy place, very tasty Japanese/Korean food. We ordered the following: Shrimps tempura, pork bone soup and Korean style BBQ pork. The shrimp tempura were crispy, but soft crispy because its all freshly made unlike other restaurant where they refry the tempura multiple times and it becomes super hard. Pork bone soup, smell very good, an amazing taste of authentic Korean soup. Korean BBQ pork, one of the most stunning dishes tonight for me. Although it's a little bit over burnt, but it's super tasty, licking good! The meat were falling of the bones easily. Recommended!!

Very small but absolutely delicious I order the katsu chicken with cheese (bento box) And hot tea Great service too!

I was really impressed with cosy Japanese restaurant located in little Italy; we were a group of 12 on a Friday night and we all had a great time! The food was exceptionally good. I shared the vegetable tempura and ordered the fried chicken udon noodle soup; wow! The tempura was not only generous in portion but super delicious with a crispy batter. The soup I would go back for a million times over! Spicy, delicious broth and the noodles were so so good! The only reason I'm giving this place a 4 is mostly cause the decor may need a little freshening up, and although we were a big group, the service was a little slow. Will definitely visit again!

The food is okay - I had the chicken katsu with cheese, which was awfully sweet, and despite being a "bento box" it came with only one piece of tempura and a salad with way too much sweet dressing. Also there was some kind of mashed potato in the chicken, which was weird. Worse than that though was the fact that the service ignored me completely the whole time I was there. I was the only one in the restaurant and the only waiter was playing video games. The chef had to refill my water because he acted like I wasn't there. I could see his computer from my table - he was playing games at the bar! Won't be coming back to this place.

Very cute. Fast service and excellent Katsu plate at a very reasonable price! I got the Makoto Katsu, which is probably one of my favourite Katsu plates in montreal!!

Excellent, everything was fresh and taste perfect. We tried the takowasabi, udon noodle and bento box shrimp. way better than other japanese / korean in Montreal.

So let's go straight to the point : their salmon salad is really delicious. It didn't feel like an authentic Japanese salad but I'm not even mad because I just really enjoyed it. Now, their seafood udon isn't the best udon I had. Let's just say it's not packed with flavours and it kinda felt a bit cheap. But in the past, I tried their shrimp bento and it was really good. I would probably not order their udon again but I'll definitely come back for the salmon salad and their bento boxes. Also, the ambiance is quiet and intimate which is nice when you want to hold a conversation.

Took a terriyaki chicken Bento! Amazing! The portion is perfect! Served with a little miso soup and a salad. Would go back again!

Just had one of the freshest korean meal in a long time! The most delicious Gamjatang, spicy pork soup and amazing fish tempura with a perfectly suited Miyazaki soundtrack. It's a new restaurant in Petite-Italie neighborhood and I highly suggest it! Miam!

You can also order to go here I believe. They really operate efficiently, expect fast service! Tables are tightly situated and there's a cozy bar situation where I sat this time, able to watch the chefs cook right in front of me. The daily specials are posted on their Instagram page, as well as written on pieces of paper around the restaurant. My server quickly helped me to water and a glass of sake. I placed a to go order for one of the daily specials, the grilled sea bass with sushi rice and salad, with some kimchi. I also ordered the BBQ chicken with tortilla and salad, as well as vegetable gyoza. Everything was incredible. Truly. The gyoza came topped with green onions and was SO crispy and hot and was perfect with their soy sauce. I thought sea bass was wonderful with a unique almost smoky flavor that melted in my mouth paired with the slightly sweet sticky rice. The barbecue chicken was great as well and better the next day. One thing I don't really understand is why they served plain flour tortillas cut into quarters with their food. We didn't utilize this, nor the white butter/mayo sauce that came alongside it. I hope to eat here often, for years to come and am so happy to see this iconic Japanese restaurant still thriving years later.

Once seated, things happen very quickly...it is go, go, go (in the best possible way.) We ordered appetizers first, the tempura green beans with a delicious truffle mayo, gyoza and the tofu salad (they make it fresh every Sunday). Green beans were everyone's fave, but I have to mention the (pickled?) vegetables on the salad. So flavourful! Also tried the egg drop soup which is so tasty. Mains were the salmon tuna bowl, the beef short ribs, the shrimp burger, and 48 hour pork with curry sauce. Everything was wonderful! Finished with their soft serve ice cream, I had the cherry blossom but one of us had the sake, which is a shot of sake poured on top. Amazing! You can even have wasabi or ginger... I'll try that next time (and there will be a next time soon!)

The vibes are casual, the waiters joke and talk in a more hang out way, and there's no rush to eat and move. They recommend the group meal offering and I can report that it is a TON of food and definitely all their best items. Our colleagues that shared it were the happiest, though they admit they could never hear what was delivered and they are blindly with no reference. I had skewers that I quite enjoyed, though one had enough cheese to last me a week, some of the best edamame (everyone wanted some), and a helping of rice due to my gluten free needs. The cocktails were really something special, definitely a menu you want to drink through. I wanted to love Biirū, but I do admit the reviews around the meal experience and communication from the waiters was fairly accurate. I don't think a few of us would've come here with our allergies had it not been a work dinner. Their understanding of celiac disease was low, like sure I could eat the soy sauce and not react right now, but I will later and that shouldn't be a risk a business presents. Further, we had to confirm 4 times that one dish was made on its own pan due to a severe anaphylactic allergy. The staff don't seem to speak to one another, so the delivery of food was horrible with parts going to one end when they belonged elsewhere.

We showed up on time for our reservation. The restaurant is dark, and sleek looking, so it could be a place for dinner or for drinks at the bar. We browsed the menu, and decided to go light and ended up trying the the following: - Edamame (with Furakake): Good. Soy beans can only be so different between restaurants. I will note that some of the soy beans we got were the biggest I've even seen. Furakake added needed flavour. - Avocado Truffle Tacos: OK. Quite tiny, but well made and tasted good. I didn't get any hint of truffle though. - Wagyu Dumplings: Good. But similar to any good quality non-wagyu dumpling I've had before. Overpriced. - Paradise Maki: Good. I like the texture of the tempura. - White Dragon Maki: Very good. I think the ponzu sauce elevates this dish another level. Service was pretty standard. Did all the tight things, and timely, but not particularly friendly. Overall, it was an OK visit. Food overall was generally good quality, but very expensive for the quality and quantity you get. But I also recognize that sometimes you pay for ambiance, and you certainly do here.

I stopped by around 8:45 PM, 15 minutes before they closed, but the staff were so kind and lovely, let me dine in, gave me a free drink on the house, and even told me to take my time and not worry about closing. I ordered the spicy garlic pork ramen with thick noodles, and I was blown away with how flavorful the broth and QQ (chewy) the noodles were. I didn't like the pork that much and found it a bit tough and gamey, but they do have two other types of meat (chicken, beef) as well as a vegetarian option available, as well as seasonal menu specials. However, no dipping sauce is provided, all other joints that I've been to will give you a mayo dipping sauce, not here. The Ramen - noodles were perfectly cooked, however honestly package ramen had a better flavor than their Original pork ramen unfortunately. I had expected this rich and creaminess of the pork broth, that was sticky-lipped intensifying, but it was not. This was disappointing and thus can only give 2 stars. I can't say for other noodle type, but original pork ramen needs a lot of work.
