He doesn't always tell me what I want to hear (Exercise more, Jen! Quit forgetting to take your vitamins, Jen!), but that shows how much he actually cares and wants me to do well. I called them a few weeks ago gave all of my information and condition was transferred to the scheduler's voicemail. I left a message and I've never heard anything since. I wouldn't trust this place with my medical care if it were the last clinic on Earth. If they can't do this basic kind of thing how could you trust them to do anything else?

Pretty rude if you ask me. Additionally, the staff sounds miserable on the phone and unmotivated. When in person with the staff in the office, it was under-whelming but nothing extraordinary. It's my BACK and some severely pinches nerves! They figured it out in about 5 minutes and they had it medically confirmed within a week. The whole setup at 909 Fulton is awesome. It's ultra modern, high tech, and efficient. It reminds me of the building in the movie "Men In Black" minus the aliens. Everything seems to run well including: efficient valet services, a beautiful building, concierge staff, fast check-in with RFID tags, professional staff, high tech lab and technical services, and painless scheduling. My only complaint is the Dr. Dahlquist is retiring. If you're 4 minutes late he'll make you reschedule (even if you've waited 6 months to see him and you're late because you rushed from a family emergency in order to see him), he doesn't bother to read his patient's medical notes, makes arrogant and false claims, he made me race to get a surgery to remove a medical device during the pandemic (which was incredibly difficult to get done) because he felt that I was in the middle of a potential medical emergency and then, when he found out that I don't eat the foods that he thinks I should eat (I have gastroparesis and have very few foods that I can tolerate) he told me that until I get my gastroparesis "cured" (it isn't curable) that he couldn't help me and dropped me as a patient. I'm pretty sure that his real aim was to make me follow his diet in order to lose weight in spite of the fact that I was there for something unrelated. Oh and he dropped me before he tested me for EDS which was one of the main goals of the appointment. He's rude, nasty, obsessed with trying to get his patients to follow an extreme and expensive diet and when they refuse to follow it, he drops them. People have been complaining about him for years but they keep him on. I can't respect a company that would continue to employ someone like him and would recommend staying far away from them.

My sister saw him for a growing lump on her skull and severe pressure in her head along with headaches. With the pressure and headaches symptoms it's certainly feasible he could be the right guy to see. In his expert opinion he decided she had a hemangioma, which is medical for red birthmark and he told her she wasn't in pain, but he was willing to see her in 3 months to see if the pain stopped. She insisted on the headaches and pressure not to mention the colorless bizarre grape sized lump symptoms. Even her hairdresser, with no medical training knew that it wasn't a birthmark.

I had a severe reaction to Avonex. I had taken it with great success for 15 years. A Doctor before Dr. Brown I was referred to to discuss another treatment after my reaction to Avonex said definitively I didn't have MS, didn't know what was wrong with me but couldn't be anything of concern and took me off treatment completely of any kind. Dr. Brown was recommended by my GP for second opinion. He was worse. He was actually angry with me for "wasting his time" and said I didn't have MS as well. Then he told me to get out of his office as he had patients to see who actually needed him. My husband took my arm, stood up and said we were leaving and that he had no right talking to me that way. Dr. Brown sputtered and said that well, he supposed he could run some tests but didn't think he'd find anything. We both told him no way in hell would we ever let him near me to do anything and left. My GP who sent me to him didn't believe that happened "But, he's so nice!" and after that, though presenting symptoms of MS, I was told that 1) I wasn't getting any younger 2) I have anxiety issues, in a word: gaslighting. Finally found a Neurologist outside that system who was furious when she saw my test results she ordered as well as the tests from previous clinic, She told me it was unbelievable and beyond comprehension that I was dismissed. I had the markers for MS now, all the years I was told I was imagining things and 30 years ago when diagnosed correctly. Treatment should never have been stopped. Never. Now, I'm living with a quality of life that's nowhere near okay. I can honestly say I have no idea what it's like to feel well. So, if a zero was possible, I'd give Dr. Brown less than zero. The one star is far too generous.

The clinic's inability to manage his care; for example, recently cancelling an appointment at the doctor's request (an appointment he had waited months for) only to offer the next available in OCTOBER. My mother spent :30 minutes on the line with the appointment setter (the number given to her when the appointment was cancelled), and was told no other option was available. A week later, when my dad's new internist raised concerns about the lack of diagnostic detail or care plan in his neurology file, I called to speak with his care team. The nurse I spoke to was lovely and explained we should never call appointments and only call them (something that is very confusing to follow considering the instructions they provide say something different) and also helped get my dad in to see the doctor four days later so his increasing challenges could be addressed. To my total disappointment, my mother returned from the appointment and said Dr Minette was dismissive, told her she should have figured out his current med mix was causing some of his issues by googling it herself, asked her where she had come up with the questions she was asking, seemed to be openly annoyed that I had voiced my concerns about the care he was receiving, and referred my mom to the Alzheimer's Association for any further questions. I work in geriatric care and know how difficult memory care and cognitive decline can be to treat, but nothing is more difficult than watching your loved one disappear and seeing their caregiver show a lack of empathy and curiosity about how they can try to help. My father has been resistant to changing his doctor, but this most recent series of incidents leaves us with little other choice. If you are looking for a provider who can support complicated presentations of Alzheimer's, I urge you to look elsewhere.

Like read the room and document important things in my chart as it could've been that simple.
