Nestled on a beautiful dirt road in the town of Wilmer Alabama is this beautiful gem. Kim's Nursery has been on my to do list of nurseries for a long time. It is only open twice a week for three hours or by appointment. Don and Kim Whiddon have such a large array of succulents that you can't find at big box stores. If you're looking for rare succulents, carnivorous plants or native plants especially azaleas this is the place to go. They have at least 20 types of azaleas and so many beautiful colors that I haven't seen anywhere else. It was so much fun to roam around their property. Don and Kim were both super welcoming and very knowledgeable about their plants. Also be mindful that they only take cash or check. I will definitely be going again with friends. Their place is definitely a plant lovers paradise. I got five plants for $45. read more
