Ample selection of hot food items and a limited baked goods section adds to your options for satiating your hunger. On a quick note, they have some open mic stuff going on certain days and you have to love that local vibe for a vibrant community. I would do 2.5 stars. Small and local coffee shop. Basic drinks and a few sandwich offerings. Got a standard drip from d'arte, nice that it has free refills. Partner got a white chocolate mocha with an extra shot and oat milk, it wasn't bad but it wasn't warm not hot. She also got the tomato, avocado bagel. It was fine, a thin smear of cream cheese...the avocado was good. Her drink and bagel was about 20 bucks before tip, add in my drip and we were at 23...which is a little pricey. On 5/16/24, I visited Kimball Coffeehouse in Gig Harbor, Washington. This coffeehouse has a great history, which I've included a link to in the comments. Kimball Coffeehouse has live music on the weekends. The evening I arrived, they were setting up for Open Mic Night. They roast their own coffee beans. They have an extensive menu that includes Breakfasts, Smoothies, Sandwiches, Flatbread Pizzas, Salads, Soups, Snacks, and Desserts. I ordered a Spring coffee drink called Bees Knees, which is a Lavender & Honey Latte. The flavor combination was a bit too subtle for me, but it was good. Next time, I will try something else. The woman sitting next to me ordered a BLT, which looked excellent! One of the things I really like about Kimball Coffeehouse is they seem to have a lot of regulars. Coffee shops like that are hard to find. I look forward to visiting Kimball Coffeehouse the next time I'm in town.... Highly Recommended!!! read more

Kimball Coffeehouse is my go-to for coffee in Gig Harbor. Their specials are always spot on and very tasty. The barista (whose name I always forget) is friendly every time and I stop by. She makes drinks quickly and with impressive efficiency - while smiling and chatting with customers the whole time. The place itself is spacious and cute. They serve alcohol in the evenings with live music on some nights. It reminds me very much of the coffee houses in Iceland in that regard. It be very crowded early in the day - so come prepared (you may need to stake out a table if staying). read more

This is a great little coffeehouse with a clueless employee. It's a super cute place which has open mic night and also regular bands that play once a week. The hours are better than most of the area coffeehouses that seem to close early except for Starbucks of course. I enjoyed the iced mocha I had and was tempted by the lemon bars but had just eaten so I didn't get one. I was amused by the barista who told me in the loudest voice possible that she had to wait to make my offer until after the guy playing the acoustic guitar was done with his set so she wouldn't disturb him. read more

Delightful spot. Tons of caffeine options, bakery pastries, food, and cute items to buy. I enjoy looking at the wall art and artists they support. I feel I am picky with brewed coffee for a reason, I'm not a fan of Starbucks brewed coffee, and I REALLY liked the coffee here. With brewed coffee, you could get refills for free. But they have an expansive food menu from breakfast sandwiches, to regular sandwiches, baked goods, Neopalitan style pizza, salads, smoothies, coffee, wine, beer, and tea! Fridays from 7-9 they have live band and thursdays from 6-8 they have open mic. I arrived on a Monday morning and the places was bumpin! I ordered their fall special brown sugar cinnamon latte with oat milk. The latte was pretty decent. I also ordered their bagel breakfast sandwich The food and drinks are actually very affordable with a bagel sandwich being $6.75 and on regular bread $6.15. So I got a coffee, sandwich, and tip for less than $16, unheard of during these inflation times honestly. The sandwich was pretty good, definitely feeling. Kind of needed some more flavors like garlic or something it's was heavy in the pepper which I personally like. This is a hidden gem in Gig Harbor! We were at the hotel next door and needed coffee before starting a day of sightseeing. The coffee was hot, quick and tasted great! Went back the next night for one of their pizzas and salad for dinner. The veggie pizza was charred, had the right amount of toppings, and the pizza sauce was very flavorful. The salad was fresh with feta, olives, cucumbers and a nice mixture of lettuce. Also grabbed a triple chocolate brownie that was moist and even though "triple" just the right balance of the three chocolates! Not overly sweet like some brownies are. Both time the servers were friendly and fast. The Friday night jazz music had a standing room only crowd but wasn't too loud. Everyone seemed to know each other. I was immediately surprised to see a stage - THEY HAVE LIVE MUSIC EVERY FRIDAY! I had no idea! Will have to check this out. No one was in line and the barista was VERY friendly and helpful in deciphering what to order. Monthly specials were posted alongside the monthly band list. We ordered a mocha and a medium roast Americano (which came in real mugs - not a paper cup. I can appreciate that!). Both were DELICIOUS! The bagel sandwiches however were nothing to go out of your way for. They were kind of average and forgettable. The bagel was a tad over toasted but still edible. Great neighborhood coffee house with good food, great coffee, and wonderful staff. The space is open and airy with plenty of light. I enjoy it way more than their old space down the street. Came here while staying at the Wesley Inn hotel this past weekend. Cute coffee spot! The coffee was great, my smoothie was delicious and the waffle is more of a sweet tooth dessert. Not so much a breakfast item for me. My kids would have enjoyed it! I'm just not a sweets person and it was to much chocolate. I shared it with my husband and it was still yummy. They have great customer service!! I will definitely come back again if I am in the the area. They had a breakfast menu and regular menu which I loved. Many choices to pick from but I am Vegan. This place is so cute! I stubbed across this after a doctor's appointment and my coffee was so good! I had also ordered a breakfast burrito which did take a bit of time to make but it was really good so I didn't mind the way. They do they pretty busy here but the staff handles it pretty well and they're all friendly which is a plus. I'm going to be honest I didn't see that it was right in the front near the road so I had driven all way to the back of the parking lot and had to navigate my way through this internal maze of building (Apple maps shows it's further back) all in all I would still come back here! Went here last night for their open mic and were blown away at the quality of music that was played. Each musician played a couple songs, some playing covers like the Beatles and Radiohead while otheers played originals. It was fantastic, such a good vibe, definitely will come back again.
