Four stars for a decent milk tea and excellent mochi doughnuts with great service. They had a nice variety of donuts and had made lots of each flavor. The mochi donuts were better than the non mochi donuts but overall they were both above average. Brought some to a friend several hours later and they were still fresh/tasty/held up well. Will be back to try more flavors! Love all the unique options. I enjoyed the horchata one.

Doughnuts are deliciously consistent in quality taste and flavor! They sold out on the vanilla bean bambolini I crave for but this was the original that I tried and fell in love with. Service today was great, ambiance same too.

I've been here a couple times before, but my sister is visiting and she wanted to try so we stopped by early to get a good selection. The have a nice selection of mochi and original donuts to chose from, including some unique flavors like horchata and lavender. We got a selection of a few different flavors to share and try. The texture of the mochi donuts is good but not overly chewy like some mochi donuts can be. Original donut is light and fluffy while still maintaining flavor. The also serve coffee, lattes, cold brew and lotus energy drinks. My sister got a cold brew with lavender and toasted marshmallow syrup, which she enjoyed. Overall, Milk Vue is a nice choice to have in the area and I'll be back when I get that mochi craving.

I got raspberry and peach mochi donuts and my friend got maple bacon. Maple bacon donuts are pretty hard to find these days, so that was pretty exciting. The peach was really good and the raspberry was excellent, but they were my first mochi donuts, and I didn't really notice much difference between them and regular donuts. I would definitely come here again because they have flavors that are hard to find anywhere else, but the higher price made me hope for donuts that would absolutely blow my mind, and it fell just a little short.

I haven't been able to go their storefront but been to their pop ups and now that they have them at metropolitan market, it's my go to :) I have tried their mochi donuts (ube and churro), fritters, filled donuts, regular donuts and now, their packzi. I honestly have to say that my favorite is their vanilla custard filled donuts. It's soft and light and is filled with vanilla custard. But literally everything is good. We just try the jelly filled packzi today and it's really good. I'm hoping they have more flavors available at metropolitan market but one day, I will find time to go their brick and mortar. The price is reasonable too.

Milkvue Handcrafted Donuts + Coffee opened in Gig Harbor in December 2019. Owners Seung Kim and Damien Anh serve mochi donuts and regular donuts, but they are best known for their mochi donuts. Seung worked on the mochi doughnut recipe for a year to perfect it. They also sell Olympic Roasting Company coffee and handcrafted ice cream. Mochi donuts are made with sweet glutinous rice flour which results in a chewy donut. Milkvue takes their donuts to the next level by adding creative toppings. They also use fresh yeast, and clean their oil daily. My first visit to Milkvue was in August 2021. There were so many intriguing options that I was unable to narrow it down to any less than 6 mochi donuts, which is a lot for a solo traveler. But I ended up with a 7th donut because the kind young woman serving me asked if I had ever had an Everything doughnut. I told her I had not, but that I didn't care for Everything seasoning. She said she didn't either until she tried this donut and insisted that I try one. And so I did. In addition to a cream filled Everything donut, I got the following: Cinnamon Sugar Chocolate Lemon Filled Vanilla Bean Blueberry Lavender Raspberry The cream-filled Everything donut was better than expected. I LOVED the rest of the flavors. Of the seven, my favorite were the Blueberry Lavender, Raspberry, Lemon Cream Filled, and Chocolate. For my second visit in 2022, I limited myself to one donut and chose Chocolate. Milkvue uses Valrhona chocolate, which is a Premium French chocolate. For me, the combination of that particular chocolate with a mochi donut is Perfection! I really wanted to try the ice cream but I didn't have a way to keep it cold over the course of a long road trip. I'm getting ready to visit Gig Harbor again and hope to be able to stop by and try at least one new flavor, possibly Ube. Or a fritter. Milkvue is famous for their fritters, which come in Apple, Blueberry, and Raspberry. If you're ever anywhere near Gig Harbor, you must stop and check out Milkvue Handcrafted Donuts + Coffee! Highly Recommended!!!

Excellent donuts, extremely overpriced! 2 stars because way overpriced! That all I have for this business.

I was interested to see what the hype was for these mochi donuts, but I was disappointed. I've had mochi donuts in Cali and Hawaii and I can say those taste different to these. These tasted a bit dryer and less like mochi than what I've tried. I will say the flavors all looked good, but we kept it basic and got the blueberry lavender and vanilla bean. Overall they were just okay. I did ask if they had anything that was gluten free, and unfortunately they don't have anything. Just a heads up that seating is limited and only outdoors.

Mochi, glazed , vanilla filled, cookies and cream, fruity mochi.

The seating was bench and table, not too busy early afternoon to sit where we wanted. Ordered Pho (Combo & Brisket), Banh Mi Chicken and a Bubble Peach Tea. The food took longer than a typical Pho restaurant takes. The boba tea came out right away. The drink was grainy, which leads me to assume they use the powdered mixture. The Tapioca balls were mushy. Not recommended as this drink gets a 2. The Banh Mi was good 3.5, meat was not dry and plenty of fillings. The negative was the mayo, a little too much as it overpowered the taste. I needed to add sauces to counter. The Pho bowls were excellent 5, the regular was still a lot. They need to add a smaller bowl. There was a lot of meat, more than normal. The broth was not greasy. The side toppings were fresh and not wilted. Highly recommend trying this place out. We happen to drive by and the colorful windows caught our attention. Their Avocado smoothie is pretty solid (my favorite Avocado smoothie will forever always be the Champion Bubble Tea inside the 99 Ranch Market in Renton years ago :)). They use real Avocado and no powder, and it takes little bit longer to blend if you ask for reduced sugar version because without 100% sugar (regular recipe), ice doesnt melt fast enough to mix. So its been taking about good 10 minutes from the time I place order to getting my smoothie. They keep adding more milk to blend for better consistency and because they don't have a exact recipe for that yet (and probably ordered less often than other drinks :)). It's all worth the wait for me because I'm really looking for a quality Avocado smoothie. Their iced tea is excellent, my favorite is Mango Iced Tea. The customer service is very kind, they're always smiling, and place is kept clean. It's located right across the crosswalk from the Whole Foods Market village in University Place so parking and access is very convenient. They're still quite new so give them some time to master their speed.

The mochi donut flavors that I saw were : funnel cake, churro, taro, cookie butter, and coconut fudge. You can order using the self service kiosk and use Apple pay, which I prefer to do. Menu prices are about the same on DoorDash, which is great considering there are sometimes huge markups to balance out their fees. (Cost): $4.85 + tip (Location): It is in a very busy shopping area near Trader Joe's and Safeway. There is plenty of parking, but the area gets extremely packed, I prefer to park a bit away and then walk there. The area is very nice-- I would describe it has middle class to upper middle class. I love how beautifully decorated this shop is. Seating consists of a medium size couch, two benches, some seating by the widow l, and a table with 3 chairs. (Service): Excellent! Despite being busy working on items, the employee greeted me as I entered and was very polite when he gave me my order. What I didn't like was how rude one of the delivery drivers was. He greeted them and they simply shove their phones in his face without saying anything after yelling for him to come from the back. I hope drivers like that learn some manners or are removed from the shop. (Food): 16 oz Thai Tea Creme Brulee (5/5)-- according to the self checkout machine this drink is quite popular and I can see why! It was the perfect amount of sweetness, and the boba wasn't too soft or firm. I only wish I had gotten the bigger size.
