During the inspection process, however, the septic system failed inspection, and we were unable to reach an agreement after discovering significant discrepancies related to the septic system's condition and our inspector's report vs an independent report done by the sellers. As a result, we terminated the contract and did not purchase the property. What concerns me most is that the property's listing history reflects that it was under a contingent contract with us from June 3-14, 2026. That is not accurate. Our contingent offer had already been rejected, and the accepted contract during that period was a cash offer. The transaction did not fall through because of a financing contingency; it ended after inspection issues were uncovered and the parties could not come to terms. Accurate representation of a property's transaction history is important to both buyers and sellers. Based on my experience, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency surrounding this transaction and would encourage prospective clients to carefully verify all information provided during the buying process.
