I moved to Bedminster in August and have gone here twice a month since. Every time I walk in, I am either not greeted or shortly acknowledged by the manager Katie. Mind you, Katie herself has done my nails multiple times and acts as if she's never seen me before or couldn't care less that I am there. Today I walked in and showed a picture of Valentine's nails that I wanted. They were simple nude nails with small red hearts on each nail. Apparently that warrants a $30 up charge. Even with that being the case, if they were done well, I was happy to pay $90. I am very happy with how my nails came out- the nail tech did a fabulous job. But as I am paying, the manager (Katie) who is sitting on a chair on her phone (per usual), turns to the nail tech and says "How much did she tip?" WHILE I AM STILL STANDING THERE AND WAS JUST HANDED MY CREDIT CARD BACK. Extremely unprofessional, and uncomfortable. I will absolutely not be returning. Not sure who owns Kimi nails, but they should know that this woman is costing them customers. read more

Customer service at its worst...How disappointing! I've been coming to your salon since moving into town 11 years ago. I'm not one to get my nails done frequently maybe once every 2 months, always during holidays, vacations and celebrations. Today I walked in last minute, I didn't have an appointment. The owner looked at me as if she had never seen me before (I was there 2 weeks ago for a gel manicure that only lasted 1 week and a pedicure) and asked if I had an appointment. No greeting. Nothing...I replied, no didn't. She looked at her book and said 3:30, it was now 1:40, I looked at my schedule and said sorry I couldn't do 3:30 she turned around and walked away with no further interaction. Extremely unprofessional. She had her back turned and I just stood there looking at the 3 customers. She totally dismissed me, I said thank you, stood there for another second and walked away very perplexed. How could that be the extent of the interaction? I was a walk in, but I called prior to make sure they could accommodate me. The place was clean and the greeting was super friendly. Pedicure was simple, not superb. My nails were very well done at first. The polish skills were tip top! But 2 days later 3 nails were chipped and cuticles cracking, 3 days later 5 nails were chipped. Before the week was out, all my nails were stripping and breaking in all different places. I have visited place twice. First time, I got regular manicure which was really nice. second time I went for gel (this was my first time ever getting the gel manicure). I loved the selection of colors they had. My nails lasted longer then I expected. I did not get any hand massage as I got one when I went for regular mani. Overall it was a good experience. I also wanted to share the great incident I experienced at this salon. There was an old lady, sitting next to me getting manicure. When she was done the salon person gently asked her to wait till her nails are dried. the lady insisted that she will be fine as she was planning to walk home. 2 minutes after she left, she came back with little messy nails on two of her fingers because of course the nails were not dried properly. The friendliness, efficiency, care, and the beauty of the finished work; stellar, stellar, stellar! I was pretty disappointed. I just moved to the area, saw the good reviews and was excited to have a salon so close. I had long acrylics on and I wanted to have them taken off and be given a fresh gel manicure (something I've done so many times before). To my surprise they didn't fully remove the acrylics, very strange but I didn't want to argue. I let her finish the manicure and exactly what I assumed would happen did, the leftover acrylic on my nails immediately chipped when I got in the car. I walked back in to question why she did it this way and she said she had to leave some of the acrylic on or my nail would be too thin?? That's ridiculous and frankly not true. By leaving it on it ruined the manicure almost instantly. It's been one day and my nails are continuously chipping away. The owner told me I could stay so they could fix their mistake but I had already been there for almost 2 hours and didn't have time. When I tell you this is the BEST manicure my friend and I have ever had, I mean it. Tom has a gift of symmetry when filing and they're not thick and chunky like some nail extensions I have gotten. After reading tons of reviews online on google, yelp and others I decided to contact Paradise. They never answered and never replied to emails. The next day I noticed Kimi had a huge sign in front of the salon that said NEW OWNERSHIP. I decided to look into the prices and they were a tad more than I expected but since we were greeted with a smile and everything looked clean we decided to go back today. Today we called to make an appointment and asked if we could make it today. To my surprise they had time for us and I am soooo glad we went. Everyone was really nice and never felt pushed to pay for more than I wanted and asked for like at other annoying salons. I usually tremble while getting a full set and many nail ladies get angry with something I can't control. This was not the case at Kimi; they treated me like a princess with even a great massage at the end. The nails are all I wanted and they were very kind and sweet. Katie was very caring even when she was doing multiple things at once. Clients never waited more than 5 minutes for services to start and they all had smiles on their faces. The lotion they use is super soft and smells amazing. My daughter and I loved it along with the warm towel before we left. I have to say this is by far the best experience I've had at nail salons and I have been going over the past 12 years to many. I will definitely come back and trust them to take care of my daughter as well. Prices for kids are great! $7 mani, $18 pedi; $25 mani&pedi Price for gel full set $70 If french just add $10 Tons of color options ! Long hallway leads you to a "nail salon". I found the music to be pleasing. The TVs were on and it was enjoyable. The technicians do not speak English, which makes it hard when you tell them there is nail polish all over your cuticles. I found the salon to be messy. And desperately needs a paint job. Some of the polish is old, which leads to messy paint job. The lack of attention to detail, messy surroundings, bad polish job and lack of management interaction gives this place a 3. Linzie did a great job and I appreciate her professionalism. I came in for the first time to get my dip nail polish off and the owner?/front desk lady was the one that assisted me. she was very rude. I never seen anyone use such little caution filing off someone's nail polish before. she was drilling so fast and recklessly that it burned one of my pinky nails (no physical harm which I am so grateful for) and when I flinched at the heat applied to my thumb nail , she reacted as if I had inconvenienced her?? I was getting very upset because this is a process that takes care and caution. I don't know anyone that goes into a nail salon for a hard time. self care is why people go. girls go to have a good time with their girlfriends, have fun with their moms, something to get excited about, etc. once Linzie came in, she was kind and careful as all of my other nail salon experiences have been. i'm grateful for her because I felt taken care of. first time being at Kimi & I literally was shocked at the amount of attitude from the front desk/owner for behaving like that. My favorite nail salon in the area! Everyone is so wonderful from the second you walk through the door. Extremely welcoming :) I get gel manicures and they take their time to ensure perfection, but the pedicures are my absolute favorite! They use a jelly at first that massages your feet. The jelly makes your skin so soft and then it turns into a fragrant water mixture. I'm obsessed! Sometimes I go once a week instead of every two weeks! It was pretty busy Wednesday in the afternoon, but we didn't have an appointment. However, all technicians and manager or owner , I don't know but pretty nice and smiling us. We waited about 10~15min. I did spa pedicure and spa manicure, my wife, she had uv gel nail with Tom. I didn't remember her name who did mine. My wife said, Tom did very very good work for her nails. She has been doing her nails for almost 15 years and hard to fine out for satisfying and right person. She was very happy and want to come back definitely when we come down here. My service was also excellent. I had thick callus so I normally do spa pedicure. I also got satisfied service here. They used single spa pedicure products. It looked very professional and experienced. I usually don't leave any review on the yelp even restaurant etc. By the way, this place is so so amazing. Worth every $ of the spa pedi I walked in with dragon/reptile feet and walked out with smooth heels and shiny, clipped and evenly filed toes! Sophia was fantastic. Seriously- she could have used a carpenter's block sander on my feet, but even after all her hard work, the foot massage almost knocked me out! . Everyone was friendly and seemed genuine in their collective thank you when I walked out. Could be a sign that they were grateful I left, but it seemed genuine, so I'll be back! read more

I have been to Kimi Nails a few times (as it is very convenient to where I live). The service is never rushed and a great "bang for the buck". I really enjoy their mini spa pedicures, it's not as pricey as a full spa pedi, but you get a lot with it (and it's relaxing). Also, I asked for a fun design on my last manicure, and they did a fantastic job, looking even better than the photos I showed (and didn't charge me extra). Update during Covid: for those who regularly go to Kimi Nails, they are open! I waited for a few weeks after they re-opened before went back. Since my hands are put through the ringer during gardening and outside projects, I only went for a spa pedicure. As soon as I arrived, I called (from outside) to let them know I was there. They told me to come in and immediately had my temp taken and was asked to fill something out and pick my color. The questionnaire asks if you've been sick or if you've traveled and essentially that you're not holding them responsible. My name, cell, and temp was recorded on it. There are big clear shower curtains between each pedi seat and each manicure seat. For manicures, there are magnets where the nail tech can flip up to work on your hands. There are signs telling you of any additional costs related to materials and supplies used for your visit. Only one person was with Tom and none else was there for a pedi. Within 20 mins the person with Tom sat for a pedi but in the further chair from me. Another person came in for a mani. When the other pedi customer was done, Tom thoroughly wiped down the seat and everything the person may have touched. All in all, I felt ok with the visit. At the time, they were only doing nails and no waxing (I asked). They were hoping to offer the additional services soon. read more
