I really like this place. It's clean and they do a good job. My first dip powder mani was amazing and lasted almost three weeks. The second time it wasn't as good, she didn't put enough layers and it started chipping the second day. I sent a FB message to ask them to fix it but only received an automated message. The people Who work here are nice, though on my second visit there were three women there but only one was actually helping clients. One was just sitting around and the other walked through the shop a few times but didn't do anything. I had an appointment but waited 20 minutes with my feet in lukewarm water for my pedi. Disappointing. It's a 20 minute drive for me but I'd have gladly kept going after the first experience. If it's just going to be average I'll find something closer to home. read more

First time here, honestly in the beginning it was okay. I was told the charge was going to be $100 for the nails I wanted, I told her that I didn't have enough money on me and I was about to leave cause I couldn't afford it. She then offered me a discount and I accepted cause I've done that amount before it couldn't have hurt to do it a second time. But honestly it did, I was there from 3-5pm for nails that didn't turn out nice. And from paying she asked for tip and I still didn't have much but I was generous enough to give $5 tip. She gave me a look and attitude shaking her head. Honestly I was very upset with the experience I had cause she would take calls and be there for a minute and I was patient with her, and then her not looking at her job she nicked me with her drill and that stung badly. I wouldn't come here again. $100 isn't worth paying for, I would rather take a flight to Florida and pay $45 dollars for better nails. read more

Really nice inside, busy location and very loud as it's on a busy road next to a dance studio. I asked for a shape I didn't get (she kept trying to give me an almond shape but it just didn't come out good), but the worst part was she made my nails so incredibly thin that the same night two broke off completely. Within one week, 3 nails had bent back and/or broke. I'm alarmed at why they are so yellow when they broke??? I won't be going back unfortunately. read more

They are doing a great job in that regards. All the employees were friendly and I didn't have to wait at all when I arrived at my scheduled appointment time. Looks clean and lots of polish colors to choose from. The massage wasn't that long nor hard but I guess you get what you pay for. It was only $25 for a regular pedi. This is a lovely, relaxing nail salon! The ladies are soooo nice. I have gone to many many nail salons in NJ and always looking for a clean and friendly place where they also do a good job. Sounds easy but haven't found a place other than Galaxy Nails that fulfills all three of those things brilliantly! Hannah and Sarah are awesome! I went with my mom for a pedicure first and they did a great job. We went towards the end of the day and still they were patient and friendly without rushing at alI. They continued to a thorough job! We were so impressed! Then I went second time for a manicure. Some lady whose name I don't know did mine and it didnt dry properly and smudged when I got to the car. I went back and Hannah stepped in to fix it, in a friendly and patient manner. Totally appreciate the helpfulness! Now I continue to go here regularly. By the way, also have cute pedicure chairs for kids! I saw a three year old getting her nails done here with her mom and it was adorable to see them together! I came here this afternoon for a gel manicure. The other 3 places I kind of rotate through did not have openings but when I called here they were able to see me right away (I desperately needed to get my current powder one off and switch back to gel). The place is quite large which is deceiving from the outside. They have OPI, shellac, Essie, and another brand I'm not too familiar with for gel. I always go with OPI for gel and I picked this new color that recently came out. I had Sarah and she gave me the best manicure I have ever had. Her attention to detail was insane, super nice, did not rush, and gave me two neck massages (one while drying and one in the beginning as my powder mani was soaking off). Her hand massage was awesome and longer than the usual 15sec most places give you. The other women in there seemed very nice as well. This is the first place where I took a card/name of the woman who did my nails as I plan on making this my go-to spot with Sarah! Highly recommend! read more

The pedi spas are clean(they use liners) and all of the implements are new out of packaging. The scrub and massage were so relaxing. The hot stones at the end were the perfect touch. I have been going to this salon for several years, and the results depend on who takes care of you. But in general it is at least satisfactory. When they reopened, all prices went up about 25%. They were trying to make up for the loss of money during the pandemic. So, I kept going there. Today, I went there just for a manicure. I paid with a credit card, and I asked for a receipt, which they are often reluctant to print. That's when I saw a charge for using a credit card. I was not pleased. I then had a conversation with the owner. She said it started at Thanksgiving but it's incorrect because I was there weeks ago and they didn't charge me to CC use. She said she is charged by the CC company (obviously) so she charges the customers, and the hair salon next door does it too! I guess she doesn't understand that accepting a CC is a courtesy to your clientele, because people don't carry cash with them. Every business now takes credit cards. I tried to explain that grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants, mechanics, etc. do not charge for the use of CC. Ladies, ask for your receipt when you go there so you can see that charge. I was so annoyed that I left without getting my nails done. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had. I walked in with thick, healthy nails I'd managed to grow out over a year and left in tears with paper-thin UV gel nails, all because I wanted to get a bad filing job fixed before my wedding. The manicurist didn't listen to me at all. I told her my nails were real about six times, but when the gel polish didn't come off quickly enough, she decided they must be fake. I didn't know UV gel was different from UV polish, so when I said I used a UV light to dry them, the manicurist brought out the sander and destroyed my once-healthy nails. I told them I didn't want UV gel nails; I asked them to polish what was left and let me go. I was ignored and received the UV gel manicure I didn't want anyway. Any nail salon that can't tell the difference between real nails and fake nails shouldn't be performing services on them. Maybe it's silly of me to get so upset, but my nails were a personal point of pride and I'm crushed at what Galaxy Nails has done to them. Update: the UV gels broke (split from fingernail) after three days. My own fingernails are literally see-thru with clear polish. Please don't trust this place. read more

i've lived right down the street from this salon for about 5 years but just went for the first time today. i had been going to fox chase (when i did go, i don't get my nails done very often -- mostly because a mani never lasts very long), which is a cute little place and i kinda feel bad saying it, but galaxy blows them outta the water. the prices are a tad higher, but the work is superb. i don't necessarily agree with the reviews of it not being a lot of money, because i dropped $85 today for a gel mani and regular pedi (well i did get the foot scrub for $10 extra because, hey, it's been one hell of a winter). so the gel mani was $35 as was the pedi. a regular pedi is $25. therefore, with 20% tip it was $85. i mean, maybe that's kinda standard, no? like i said, i'm kinda new at this. so anyway, i finally decided to get a gel manicure as many of my friends have been telling me to do so. and like i said, i don't get my nails done very often so this whole little rigamaroo is still kinda new to me. i have to say, i think i may have to make it part of my routine now as a bi-weekly, relaxation, taking a little extra care of myself kinda thing. i found my experience to be relaxing, esp the pedi. i'm not the talker type (basically the only time in my life when i'm not -- clearly). i like to sit back and enjoy -- close my eyes, breathe deep and take in human touch. it's very healing, ya know. anyway, the pedi was very relaxing, nice little leg massage with a scrub and the hot rocks. if you are looking to space out and relax like me, be prepared to use your meditation skills because there were about 5 little girls and one strange man who thought he was HILARIOUS joking with the techs while getting a foot scrub. it can be done, just focus on the massage. we will see if the extra $10 for the foot scrub was worth it in the extended future. TBD, will report back later. so nice pedi, now onto the gel manicure. it was my first time and like a virgin, i was amazed. particularly at how fast my nails dried. it was like discovering sliced bread for the first time. what do you MEAN my nails are dry already?! i can touch stuff?! are you sure? it was like instantaneous. holy awesomeness. i still actually had to sit under the little fan for my toes after my nails were done. see, to me, this is revolutionary. to the rest of you, i'm probably a nut job. i'm neither confirming nor denying that statement. but all around, a great, relaxing experience on an unexpectedly warm winter sunday allowing for flip flops on the feet. on cleanliness, i give this place 5 stars and the ladies are sweet and efficient. bravo, galaxy, bravo. read more

I give it a 2 because I have been a customer for years. I recently went in last week for a gel manicure, looking forward to the service. I thought I would be leaving with clean squared shape nails, no cuticles, and a smooth gel finish. I got everything but that. The lady didn't shape my nails evenly, decided to push my cuticles down AFTER the gel was already on my nail... and messed up so many Times my right hand was done 20 minutes before my left. She kept having to remove the polish and reapply it, and my nails are bumpy and sharp. I chose a yellow color and you can see each imperfection.
